• Where will you be staying?
The “Skandi-Lounge” vacation apartment is located on the first floor of the “Dat Nordische Huus” vacation home on the outskirts of Heerstedt, surrounded by nature and just 12 km from the outskirts of Bremerhaven, nestled among meadows and fields.
You’ll be staying in a modern apartment of approximately 100 m², which was completely redesigned in 2025 and is accessible at ground level.
From the terrace, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.
There is also a vacation apartment on the upper floor that accommodates up to 3 people.
Our farm is located in the neighborhood. It is home to 60 cows. Deer, rabbits, and squirrels also stop by from time to time.
• How many people can the apartment accommodate?
The apartment can accommodate four people. If needed, a portable crib (suitable for children weighing up to 15 kg) can be added.
If you’d like to vacation with your extended family, we can also offer you the modern vacation apartment on the upper floor, which sleeps three people (see “Dat Nordische Huus—Hyggelig in Loft Style”).
• Where can you park and store bicycles/strollers?
A parking space is reserved for you right next to the house. You can store bicycles or strollers in the -- lockable shed.
• Is there a charging station for electric cars?
Yes, there is a wallbox for both apartments at the parking spot next to the house. Electricity is billed at reasonable rates.
• How is the internet connection?
The building has a fiber-optic connection, providing excellent reception via both LAN and Wi-Fi.
• How comfortable is the apartment?
External roller shutters, triple-pane windows, and sun shades—some of which also serve as insect screens—ensure a pleasant indoor climate. This makes it comfortable even on warmer days. During the colder months, the underfloor heating in the living room, hallway, and, in some areas, the kitchen provides pleasant warmth. The bedroom and kitchen are equipped with radiators.
• What amenities are available in the living and dining areas?
A 55-inch smart TV and a cozy, large sofa await you in a stylish setting. The dining area features, among other things, four high-quality, comfortably upholstered chairs. A high chair for children can also be provided upon request. Books and games are also available.
• What amenities does the open kitchen area offer?
The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with your loved ones. An eye-level oven, stovetop, microwave, and dishwasher are at your disposal, as well as a hand mixer, toaster, dish towels, dish soap, and dishwasher tablets.
For coffee lovers, there’s a separate coffee bar with a Baratza coffee grinder, a Tassimo capsule machine, a French press, a milk frother, and a drip coffee maker.
• What amenities does the bathroom offer?
It features a rain shower, plenty of storage space, electrical outlets, and counter space.
Towels are also provided. The ambient lighting, the wall mirror with built-in heating, and the towel warmer make the bathroom something special.
• How many bedrooms are there?
There are two bedrooms.
The larger bedroom features, among other things, a high-quality box-spring bed with a large topper (180x200 cm), a variety of pillows, closets with hangers, a smart TV, and ambient lighting.
For a home office, there is a desk with access to a LAN outlet.
Like almost all the rooms, it can be completely darkened using exterior roller shutters.
The smaller bedroom is furnished with two single beds (90x200 cm), a wardrobe, and a dresser.
The beds are made upon arrival—everything you need for a restful, relaxing night’s sleep.
A travel crib is also available upon request. However, you’ll need to bring your own comforter, pillow, and bedding for it.
• Is there a washing machine?
You’ll find a washing machine, dryer, and clothes rack in the utility room. An iron and ironing board are also available.
• Is there a patio?
Adjacent to the living room is a partially covered patio with seating, a garden table, and a patio umbrella. A grill is also available upon request.
• What is there to see in the area?
Since you’re staying on the outskirts of town, you’re right in the heart of nature—ideal for hiking and biking through fields, forests, meadows, and moors.
If you’d like to explore more, Bremerhaven and the surrounding area—with their many attractions and events in both summer and winter—are not far away. The city can be easily reached in a short time by car, train, or, in some cases, bus. The North Sea beaches, including the Wadden Sea all the way up to Cuxhaven, are only about 45 to just over 60 minutes away by car. The offshore island of Heligoland and the city of Bremen are also worth a visit.
Sounds like a relaxing and eventful vacation, doesn’t it?
We look forward to seeing you!
