Welcome—Vacation Rentals in Sellin on Rügen at Haus Irene
Just as the bright green linden trees line Sellin’s Wilhelmstraße, they also form a colorful contrast to the numerous white villas built in the so-called “Bäderarchitektur” style, to which our Haus Irene also belongs. Built during the summer resort season of 1908 by master carpenter Wilhelm Hinz, this guesthouse—which primarily hosted city dwellers eager for the beach—has been lovingly restored in recent years. Today, three modern, spacious, and bright vacation apartments, each accommodating up to four people, offer a cozy temporary home. Bakeries, various restaurants and cafés serving both regional and international cuisine, a hair salon, a drugstore, a pharmacy, banks, and various shops are all located in the immediate vicinity and can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. You can also reach the pier—the landmark of Rügen’s second-largest Baltic Sea resort—just as quickly on foot. The Sellin pier has been immortalized on many postcards. It is the town’s landmark. It is the longest pier open to pedestrians, stretching 400 meters out over the water. The stops for the “Bäderbahn” (which is free for guests of the Baltic Sea resort), the bus that takes you to Sellin’s four neighborhoods, and other public transportation are also located not far from the house.
Haus Irene, Apartment 04:
A spacious, bright hallway leads to Apartment 4. The apartment is located on the top floor of the building. With approximately 85 m² of space, it offers plenty of room for up to 4 adults and 2 small children up to 3 years old in a travel crib. The non-smoking vacation apartment, decorated in a nautical style, consists of a spacious living room with a comfortable couch, a coffee table, and a TV stand with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. A variety of DVDs and board games are available for your use. You’ll also have access to Wi-Fi, which is included in your stay. The separate kitchen features a built-in kitchen unit with a stove equipped with a ceramic cooktop, an oven, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker, and an electric kettle. A cozy dining area completes the room. This vacation rental has two separate bedrooms. The first bedroom features a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), adjustable slatted bed frames, bedside tables with lighting, and a large closet with a full-length mirror. The second, smaller bedroom features two solid single beds (1.00 m x 2.00 m), which can also be pushed together to form a double bed, adjustable slatted frames, bedside tables with lighting, and a dresser. Both bedrooms are equipped with insect screens and blackout curtains to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The naturally lit bathroom is located right next to the first bedroom and features a sink, a toilet, a towel warmer, a bathtub with a handheld showerhead, a makeup mirror, and a hair dryer. You’ll also find a spacious hallway with a coat closet and a storage room. Here you’ll find, among other things, cleaning supplies, a vacuum cleaner, and a clothes drying rack. For our younger guests, a travel crib and a high chair are provided. A parking space (No. 04) and a lockable bike shed are located right next to the house. Right next to the house, next to the parking lot, there is a small seating area that you’re welcome to use to relax. Pets are not allowed. You can book an initial linen package (complete set of bed linens, 1 shower towel, 2 small hand towels) for an additional fee up to 14 days before arrival, or supplement it with your own linens. If you book 2 or more packages, you’ll receive a one-time addition of 1 dish towel and 1 shower mat. We wish you a wonderful and enjoyable vacation on the Baltic Sea—have a great time and relax.
