After skiing, you can relax by a crackling fireplace in the spacious living room with a U-shaped seating area. The fully equipped kitchen offers plenty of opportunities to cook delicious meals. There is also a garden with a sauna and a covered terrace, where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast or a BBQ in a beautiful summer evening
Tauplitz is located in the popular Ausseerland—Salzkammergut holiday region in Styria, where there is plenty to do in winter and summer. The town has a cozy center with a bakery, a post office, an outdoor sports shop and two ski schools. There are also various hotels and restaurants in Tauplitz where you can enjoy a delicious meal.. For even more options, head to nearby Bad Mitterndorf or Bad Aussee. Near the chalet, you will find a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool. In Bad Mitterndorf, you can do your shopping at the Spar Landmarkt or Billa (a 7- to 8-minute drive).

The ‘Die Tauplitz’ ski resort is a family-friendly resort with guaranteed snow, offering 43 kilometres of slopes across three connected mountains to suit all ability levels, ‘Die Tauplitz’ is also part of a partnership known as the ‘Schneebaeren Card’ with four other ski resorts, all within a 30- to 45-minute drive; with the ‘Die Tauplitz’ ski pass, you can also access these other resorts free of charge.On the Tauplitzalm, there is a children's area. There is also an extensive cross-country skiing network, and you can take a ride on the evening toboggan run at the Grafenwiesen lift.

You can enjoy hiking here in summer, with more than 120 km of well-marked trails. The 6 Lakes walk is recommended. Cyclists and mountain bikers can enjoy extensive opportunities in Tauplitz and the surrounding area. The routes can have height differences between 500 and 1800 meters and distances of up to 60 km. Within a radius of 10 km, you can reach several lakes, such as Ödensee, Altaussee, Grundlsee, and Toplitzsee. Golf enthusiasts can have a great time at the Golfclub Ausseerland (20 km).
