The chalet is located in the village of St Jean d'Aulps, in the heart of Europe's largest interconnected ski area, les Portes du Soleil in the French Alps. With over 600 km of slopes, this area offers plenty of opportunities for skiers of all levels and abilities. The village is located on the 'Grande Route des Alpes', 20 km south of Lake Geneva in the 'Vallee d'Aulps'. This valley offers a pristine piece of nature and is a perfect start for breathtaking hikes and cycling tours. St Jean d'Aulps has its own ski station, La Grande Terche.The ski resort of Saint Jean d'Aulps is ideal for beginners or families with children. But the larger ski areas, such as Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets and Chatel are also easily accessible and offer plenty of opportunities for ski touring, among other things. Free ski bus stops 300 metres from the chalet, ski rental at 300 metres.

In summer, the area bustles with outdoor activities, from hiking and cycling to canyoning, rafting and paragliding. A good starting point for trips to, among others, Evian, Thonon les Bains, the medieval village of Yvoir, Montreux and a boat trip to Lausanne.
