We are Situated right on the shore overlooking Kootenay Lake . A beautiful 'Hidden Vacation Rental' GEM right in the middle of the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains. We are nestled between 2 lakes. Kootenay Lake, about 2 miles wide and approximately 90 miles long, and Mirror Lake, a 5 or 10 minute walk behind our property.

Our 2 bedroom cottage is definitely a hideaway that features a wood interior, full kitchen and a real wood stove, with a glass fire door. We have electric heat and electric stove also; large tile and carpeting in the bedrooms
One Queen and in other bedroom 2 singles. Total 4 people.

A deck on the lake side to view and appreciate all of God's wonders. And, yes, we do have lake access, unlike so many other properties.

We are so hidden, it is hard to believe the amenities of shopping and hospital in historic Kaslo are only 3 miles away. You wonā€™t want to leave this hideaway.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place has a beautiful view, was nice and clean and has a private beach. Lots of hiking in the area and we were able to rent a pontoon boat at a near by marina.

Great 5 night stay!

Cottage was well stocked, very comfortable, hosts very personable. We came for recreation, got in several great hikes, kayaked, paddled boarded, explored the town, had a lot of laughs,and met several locals along the way. Highly recommend if you love the outdoors.

Lakeside get-away

Peaceful stay on a beautiful property, with wonderful hosts. A short walk to a pristine lake for swimming and paddle boarding. Enjoyed hanging out on the deck with its views of lake and mountains. Canā€™t wait to return!

The greeting upon check-in was awesome . Not comfortable right away . The view from the deck was breath taking. The beach was amazing. Absolutely awesome. We will be returning next year.

Kaslo Trip

Cabin is well equipped and has a great view of the lake from a nice shady deck. Lake access is great with a nice beach. Biking and walking trails nearby were terrific. We will be booking this place again.

Fell asleep to the sounds of the lake lapping against the beach in a cozy beautifully furnished cabin, after star gazing at night and watching the moon come up over the mountains. Spent each day fishing, paddle-boarding or simply reading and relaxing on the beach. The hosts are lovely and filled us in with great tips about the location and surrounding area. This place now holds a special place in my heart. I WILL be backšŸ’š

A gem on Kootenay Lake

A quiet spot with a beautiful view and easy beach access. Panorama Cottage is well set up for a family or a couple. Comfortable and low maintenance, close to Kaslo and yet far enough away to feel like you have found your own little piece of paradise. We will happily come back to this lovely place.

Many great pictures on this listing, but it is even better in person! Great location, quiet spot, spectacular views, access to the beach, comfortable beds... I could go on and on! Idyllic Setting

Our family had a beautiful vacation at this Kootenay Lake cabin. Two weeks went so fast! The cabin is exactly as described. Karl + Inga are wonderful hosts - so helpful, kind and full of excellent suggestions for things to do and see. We enjoyed several incredible alpine hikes in the Purcells and in Kootenay Glacier Park. Other days we spent the day boating (we were able to moor our boat at the docks at the end of the street - so convenient). The beach was beautiful and we swam daily. I would highly recommend their cabin and the Kaslo and Nelson area. I canā€™t wait to return.

Wonderful family vacation - awesome beach time!

Thank you for the most wonderful stay at Panorama Cottage! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The cabin was so well kept and the kitchen was full of everything we needed. We used the BBQ every day and Karl and Inga were so responsive to our needs. The highlights were the amazing beach and views from the cottage. Our kids (ages 6, 8 & 10) did not want to leave the water, especially with all the kids toys, floaties and kayaks! Thank you again for making our stay so relaxing and fun. You are amazing hosts!

Beautiful Retreat In Heat Wave

I spent a glorious week in this lake retreat during a heat wave. The rest of the province was melting but we were comfortable and well taken care of in this cabin on the lake. The views from the front porch can't be captured on photo ... it was restorative, beautiful, and quiet. Highly recommend a week at Karl and Inga's - they are wonderful hosts and were very kind with my rapscallion of a puppy.
