L'Hirondelle – Authentic Country House in the Heart of Périgord Noir

Treat yourselves to a peaceful, charming getaway in this independent holiday home, nestled in the hamlet of La Pomparie near the picturesque village of Saint-Geniès. Located between Sarlat-la-Canéda (12 km) and the Lascaux caves (15 km), this house is the perfect base for exploring the treasures of the Périgord Noir.



With 50 m² over two floors, the house comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. It features three cozy bedrooms, a bathroom with a traditional-style shower typical of a Périgord home, two separate toilets, and a welcoming living room with fireplace, sofa, and flat-screen TV (satellite reception may be affected by bad weather, as is common in rural areas). The fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, freezer, toaster, etc.) lets you easily prepare meals. You’ll also have a washing machine, baby equipment, and private parking.



Outside, enjoy a furnished terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, a pétanque court, a children’s play area, and direct access to marked hiking trails winding through fields and forests.



Nearby, discover a supervised swimming lake 5 km away (Blue Flag certified), local farmers’ markets, foie gras and walnut farms, as well as castles, gardens, and prehistoric caves. The village of Saint-Geniès, just 6 km away, charms with its traditional stone roofs and authentic Périgord atmosphere.



For larger groups or families, a second neighboring house can be rented, increasing capacity to 14 guests.
