2 Bedroom, 2 Bath 1st Floor Windjammer Condo with easy access to the building elevator. Ocean Isle Beach is the perfect place for a family vacation, a reunion, or a wedding. There are no bright lights. Nearby activities include beaches, golf, dining, fishing, shopping, boating, charter fishing, turtle and dolphin watching and day trips either north to Wilmington or south to Myrtle Beach. A visit to Calabash is a must for local eating venues and special shopping. Ocean Isle beach is one of the best kept secrets in the Carolinas.

Condo was clean and as advertised. They are doing construction on the building. This didn't affect the view from our condo. This was not an issue for us. Location was excellent. Beach was very clean.

Property is beautiful! You get the best of both worlds with the ocean being right outside the condo and the pool for when you've had enough of the sand! Checking in was a breeze! Tom was extremely responsive when posed any questions. We had no issues while we stayed. Beautiful,quiet, family friendly community! Will definitely be booking our next stay at the Windjammer

Family Beach Trip

Overall, we made the best of the week; location and pool were great! Cleanliness might be better if a 3rd eye was checking between visits. I did not expect at checkout that all dishes had to be washed AND put away prior to leaving, as well as all linens (towels, sheets,etc.) This is not what I have experienced in my other VRBOs with comparable cleaning fee schedules. It was recommended that we could bring our own sheets to put on the bed the night before so we could wash the sheets provided ahead of time. If I am going to do that I may as well provide my own all week - this made my finding a rental with "linens provided" a mute subject and caused me the expenditure of going out to purchase a sheet set the week before as we don't have a king bed. I ended up washing all of the dishes upon arrival because the cleanliness of some was questionable and the utensil storage units were dirty (I ran them through the washer, also) and I found a dead bug in them - note though that there was NOT a bug problem with the unit. Additionally, a toothpick was found on the counter in the bathroom leaving us to wonder just how much the housekeeping had done for the pieces they do pick up on that don't include putting away dishes and linens. Again, we made the best of it and it wasn't the worst of places to stay. Finding out the week before we had to leave that I had to go out and spend money on linens when I had purposely chosen one with "linens provided" already set the tone going into the week.

Excellent View

Communication was fast and easy with the owner. Check-in directions were sent 9 days ahead of our stay and everything was clearly explained. We stayed on the balcony with a great view or were out on the beach. Great trip and super relaxing.

Beautiful views in a Great location!

Loved everything about this condo! Had everything we needed for a perfect stay! Twelve steps to the beach! My daughter and I took a friend to celebrate her retirement and we had a great time!! The owners are quick to respond with any questions. Would love to be back there now!

Wonderful Getaway!

The Windjammer condo was a wonderful retreat! The condo itself was a nice size to relax. The views and beach are amazing. If you prefer to be away from the crowds, this is a great location as it is down the street from the main town/business area. There are less lights so you have a beautiful view of the stars at night. The balcony is a nice size with plenty of seating to sit and relax or have a meal. We were able to park in the garage under the building and there were beach carts available, which we used to take our things in and out of the condo. We didn't get to use the pool, but it is a nice size and looked very clean. I highly recommend this rental!

Perfect beach spot!

Loved this place last year so much, we booked again this year! Best view of the ocean from the balcony. Beach isn’t crowded. We will definitely be back!

Sandy and Tom have lived in NC since 1996, moving down from Syracuse, NY. We have also lived in Harrisburg, PA, Va Beach, Atlanta, Roanoke, VA, and Bel Air, MD. We have been married 49 years, have five grown children and ten grand children. We purchased this property on Feb 20, 2014 and are planning to both rent and use the property.

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach since 1986. We have stayed on and off at the Windjammer since 1999. We have been to many east coast beaches and zeroed in on Ocean Isle for several reasons. We find the water and waves more gentle and less abrasive; one can walk out almost 100 yards without being in water over the head; the east - west beach allows viewing of the sunrise and sunset from the same beach; almost zero incidences of jelly fish; the water temperature is moderate for an extended season of time; the Windjammer is a sturdy steel in concrete building with available covered parking, an extra large pool, and an elevator; the beach is rarely over crowed and tends to be family oriented.
