In my opinion, the house is nice, but needs a thorough cleaning. The carpet is dirty, it’s hard to see out the windows, and there are thick layers of dust in every room. The mattress in the owners suite has deep ruts on both sides, and is hard in the middle. The showers are tricky, gotta get the drain adjusted just right or you’re standing in ankle deep water while showering, but the tub leaks water while taking a bath. The host interaction was confusing at best. When I asked about a new filter for the fridge, as the red light indicated it needed changing, the host didn’t know how to get one. When the neighbor came by to unlock the storage cabinet to get supplies, she showed up over 20 minutes late. She came from next door. Couldn’t have been stuck in traffic! And then didn’t even have the basic supplies I was asking for. There were 4 tvs, no instructions at all. While I was exploring the tv options, I clicked on a channel that asked for a parental control code, so I asked Mike if I could get the code for the parental control on the Dish. The first time, I was ignored. I asked again the next night. Mike’s response was harsh. His text reads: I’m not going to pay for you to rent movies. I never asked him to do that! Just asked for the code the tv was asking me for. I don’t have Dish so I don’t know anything about it and there were no instructions! I think he was mad that I asked for supplies to clean a house that was dirty when I got there.

We highly recommend this rental. The owner is easy to contact and so friendly. He went out of his way to make us feel like family. The rental was like a home away from home. It would be great for families. It is very close to Paris island marine base. The home was so comfortable and inviting. The dogs were comfortable and loved the fenced in backyard. The neighborhood was nice and safe. There are games and plenty to keep you and your family occupied on “easy” days. The screened in porch was my husbands favorite. He relaxed watching the news and drank his coffee while letting the dogs run.

Best Home Ever!

I have stayed at many vacation rentals in the Carolinas over the years. This was by far the best! We stayed for five weeks. The owner, Mike, greeted us with a phone call a couple of days before our departure. He filled us in on everything we needed to know about the house as well as a surrounding area. The house was comfortable and roomy and the two car garage was an added bonus to put our electric bikes and small motorcycle in. It is in a wonderful, extremely quiet neighborhood. The retired United States Marine next-door neighbor, Jim is a great guy. He will help you out with any problem you may have or questions about the area. He also has great homegrown eggs. I would without hesitation. recommend this home to anyone who happens to be visiting in the area.

Perfect for Us

We had a lovely stay!- Our dogs enjoyed the big fenced yard- The garage made unloading and loading easy. No worries about the pooches getting too curious or an untimely storm- Prepared several meals and had everything we needed- We mostly used the home as a base to explore Beaufort and the Sea Islands, but enjoyed a movie and the porch as well- Beautiful sunsets if you stroll down the road a block (also recommend Beaufort waterfront)-Tastefully decorated (Semper Fi), but relaxed enough to feel at home and at ease- Communication and check-in were simple- Would 100% stay again

Wonderful Stay for a Couple of Snowbirds

My husband and I and our dog really enjoyed our stay in this home. The hosts are very easy to communicate with and very nice. The home was clean and comfortable, with a comfy king bed and a strong shower. We spent a lot of time on the porch when it was warm and it was great having the fenced in back yard for our dog. Both of the neighbors have dogs too but they weren't always outside and there is a good 5 foot gap between both fences. The neighbors are very nice and the neighborhood is quiet, we walked our dog twice a day and it was lovely. The house is only a few minutes from everything you'd need, groceries, etc and downtown Beaufort is only about 10 minutes away. The spanish moss railroad trail is also very close and good for dog walking. On weekends we explored much of the low country, visiting Charleston and Savannah in addition to Beaufort, Port Royal and Saint Helena's Island. It's such a beautiful area and we are looking forward to going back!

Perfect for Our Stay

We had close friends and relatives in the area and this place was centrally located for us. Plus, there was easy grocery and department store shopping nearby and numerous restaurants. The 3-bedroom house was perfect for us and each bedroom had a smart TV so we could load our own streaming channels. It has a 2-car garage and we were able to park our car inside. The driveway is large so it can accommodate many vehicles. There is a fenced backyard which would be handy for small children and/or pets. The neighborhood was very quiet and we were able to walk many evenings. The owner was very quick responding to any questions and/or concerns. Overall, I would recommend this place to almost anyone.

Quiet neighbor

This was our second stay in this home, mainly because of fenced yard for our dog and quiet neighborhood. Home is spacious and equipped with whatever you might need.

Excellent Stay

We have stayed in many Vrbo homes and this was by far our best experience! We stayed for three months. The house was fully equipped with everything needed for such a long stay. The owners were the kindest and most accommodating people we have ever met. Whenever, there was an issue, they took care of it right away. Randy even brought us over some great seafood to enjoy. Both Randy and Mike are super friendly and more than happy to help answer any questions we had, always getting back to us right away. Thank you to Randy and Mike. We also can't leave out a special thank you to neighbor, Jim. He kept the outside grounds beautiful and even treated us to eggs from his chickens. We can't say enough nice things about the house, the fenced in back yard was great for our dog. The Beaufort area is fantastic, great restaurants and the nicest people everywhere. The location is great as it is close to both Savannah and Charleston. Thanks, Randy and Mike for a great stay in Beaufort!

Thanksgiving '23

We had an extremely comfortable and convenient stay at this home. The huge fenced back yard was heaven for our active dogs. All furnishings were comfortable and well maintained. Large capacity washer and dryer were a welcome feature. Owner was readily available to answer all questions. Very quiet neighborhood with respectful neighbors. Would love to return to this VRBO.

Wonderful property

We have stayed at Mike’s house more than once, and it’s always a pleasure! It’s fully stocked, the beds are comfortable and there is ample parking for cars and a large boat. Communication is EXCELLENT and we look forward to staying again for our Spring trip!
