Hidden Pines Lodge -- Privacy in the East Texas Piney Woods

Our Hidden Pines Lodge is a wonderful place to have a relaxing vacation away from it all! This secluded lodge was fully renovated in Spring 2017 and is located at the Hawkeye Hunting Club in Center, Texas. Hidden Pines has six bedrooms with private bathrooms, all on one level. Two bedrooms have two XL double beds; the others have two queens . All rooms have DIRECTV. The lodge boasts a kitchen, spacious living room and game room complete with a pool table and other assorted entertainments. Internet service (wi-fi) is available at the lodge. The lodge also has its own deck and fire pit area; the property's community swimming pool is located a short walk away on the other side of the lake. There are two lakes on property available for fishing or canoeing if you so desire. Toledo Bend, one of the largest bass lakes in Texas, is only a 20 minute drive from the lodge.. Additionally, we also offer (at an extra cost) a 5-stand (clay shooting) and sporting clay course. Antique shopping and other attractions are also available in the nearby town of Center Texas. Hidden Pines Lodge is a great place to have your next family or multifamily vacation. Give us a call and come relax with us at Hawkeye! Check in is after 2 p.m and checkout is 11a.m.

What a place!

Our Softball team searched high and low for a place to stay in Center, Tx. The property manager was so helpful and quick to respond! Property gave us room to spread out and enjoy the views and do a little fishing in our off time! We will definitely stay again! Perfect little escape in the woods!

Family Getaway

Wonderful place to gather large group. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy different activities. Fishing was great but there were no boats or kayaks as posted, only two paddles. Outdoor patio needed to be cleaned and chairs had bird droppings on them. A/C didn’t work in one bedroom. You will be asked to not turn thermostat down lower than 72 which for this large of a building didn’t cool bedrooms sufficiently. All in all we had a good time and will come back!

EXCELLENT!!

We place was Amazing!! Excellent property for a family get together to recharge our batteries and just enjoy each other. The lodge was exactly as advertised, BUT BETTER! All the amenities you need are available at your finger tips. We all enjoyed the fishing, the pool, the games and just being able to relax in the woods!! We didn't want to leave!! We will be back!! Thanks Travis!!

Enjoyable family time

We had another great stay at Hidden Pines. It has all the space you could ever need. We took full advantage of the large kitchen and dining table, game room, deck, fire pit area, ponds, swimming pool, and peaceful scenery. Lovely place to relax and make wonderful memories over the 4th of July weekend. Travis is highly responsive to any and all questions, and everyone on property was friendly and so accommodating. We love coming here!

Spacious accommodations, beautiful scenery

We were looking for somewhere to celebrate birthdays and enjoy some down time away. We found it here! The lodge had so much room to spread out. With an extra large dining table, spacious great room with all the floor to ceiling windows, and an amazing game room, we had everything we needed and more to relax and enjoy time together. We loved that everyone in our party had their own rooms and private bathrooms. The size of the lodge and everything provided to us just blew us away. We made lots of memories in the row boats, on the docks, and just out walking the property. Property owners were easy to get a hold of and made checking in and out so easy. So glad we found this one of a kind gem of a place!

Pictures didn’t do “Hidden Pines” justice.

Enjoyed all the space for family to enjoy and play games. The fishing was fun as well as the bonfire. Everyone enjoyed having their own private bathroom. Had so much fun, Hidden Pines will be in our top 3 for VRBO homes that we loved. Thank you so much for your southern hospitality. Jean

Fantastic!

I rented the lodge for a small corporate outing. Team loved that they got their own rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of space, great meeting area, and a fantastic staff helping out with anything that we needed. My team loved it so much they are considering taking vacation with family and friends in the future and I will definitely consider as well!

Family Vacation

This was the perfect vacation location for 5 days and 4 nights with my husband, 4 of our daughters, their spouses and 4 grandchildren under 5. It had everything we needed to enjoy unplugged, relaxing family time. The men enjoyed the sporting clays. Tiffany was fantastic with them and super accommodating. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool and just being out side in nature. I loved and appreciated all the room the lodge offered. At no time did we feel cramped. The husband is already planning a trip back with his Frat brothers. We were happy enough to be contemplating making it our annual destination for family vacation

Peaceful Privacy

I cannot say enough good things about Hawkeye Hunting Club's lodges. Beautifully designed kitchen and bathrooms. The lodges were bigger than expected and very private from other lodges. Definitely will return.

Amazing place to stay!

My family had 3 of the lodges for a weekend for our wedding in the area. All the lodges are beautiful and great amenities. Kids and adults had fun walking in the woods, playing by the lake and the fire pits at night. We will be back! Thank you Travis and all the people that work with him. They’re very helpful and made our stay a memorable one. Will recommend to all our family and friends.

Great property for Family time !!!!

Took our family , grands and few friends and stayed in one of the lodges! I was extremely impressed with the lodge , from the layout to the possible uses. Our lodge had a game room with pool, checkers and many more activities that also doubled as a meeting room. You could easily seat at tables 60 people. I found chairs and tables for just that purpose In a rear closet. The kitchen was great , freshly renovated and well stocked. I normally bring my own chef knife when we VRBO, but was not necessary on this occasion. I could of easily fed a 100 from the kitchen. The activities on the property were second to none and the staff made it clear that any thing we wanted to do they would help us with. To name a few , we fished , shot skeet, went canoeing, sat around fires at night, saw loads of deer and other wildlife. I ask the Manager Kevin if there was any where I could take my Grandson to let him shoot some targets for the first time in his life. He ask what time I wanted to go and said he would have someone pick us up. The appointed time arrived and a very nice young man by the name of J.P. arrived with a side by side to take us shooting. The staff had set up a table and chair ( the cooler fit the Grade better , so we used it) had a target set up. I couldn't of ask for any more, the target will hang in my grandsons room , and the memories will last us both forever (special moment). One other special request that was agreed to without a moments hesitation was to do some Skeet shooting under the lights at night. The general managers response was "great what time", I said around 9 P.M.. His response was "see you then" !! I know he had most likely been up since probably 5 a.m. handling his daily duties but was eager to please us. One of my shotguns was acting up so Kevin goes to his truck and gets one of his. We had some members of our party that had never shot skeet before, Kevin worked with them personally to help them succeed and find a new sport to love. In short the general manager Kevin and every member of his staff went above the call of duty to insure us a great experience. I would go back tomorrow if work didn't always get in the way of having fun. I highly recommend this property, for a small family get together or a large corporate function. I will be back very soon.

What an AMAZING lodge!!!

This lodge is AMAZING!!! It is huge...secluded...modernized with a rustic feel. I assure you, the pictures DO NOT do it justice... My family of thirteen (which included six grandchildren ages 9-16)...shared this beautiful lodge for three wonderful nights and were NEVER crowded. So much space...so much to do. The layout is perfect. Three separate front entrances (for privacy), each leading into its own hallway with 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has 2 beds, private bath, tv, closet, dresser...just like home! The kitchen is centrally located, huge, with two ovens and stocked with all the necessities. Also centrally located, are two adjoining sitting areas (one facing the beautiful, enormous fireplace and the other facing the bar/tv area). The dining area has a large table, is open and inviting.There is a bar area across from the kitchen and another near the humongous game room. Ahhhh...the game room! What an AMAZING room! The pool table was a hit with all three generations. There were several game tables, tvs, couches, chairs, etc etc etc. Huge. Simply huge. The back of the house has a long, comfortable deck...just begging for the family to sit around and enjoy the evenings telling stories, drinking beer (soda), and roasting marshmellows...which we did, every night. The fire pit was huge. HUGE! My grandchildren, especially, were thrilled with the beauty of the surrounding nature...the trees, the wooden bridge, croaking bullfrogs, the sounds of nature...simply mesmerizing. The fishing from both the pier (a short 3-5 minute walk across the bridge to the main lodge...which also has the property swimming pool) and the bridge was fun! Perch and bass at the pier...catfish at the bridge. The kids had a blast in the canoes and paddle boat! I cannot say enough great things about this lodge...it was worth the 5-hour drive...every minute of it. It was so beautiful. We hated to see the weekend coming to an end. But let me also say...Travis and his staff were wonderful and attentive. Great people! They made sure everything went smoothly. And the people of Center and the surrounding area are Texans through and through...true southern hospitality! Everyone made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. I cannot imagine anyone who spends a single day out at this lodge regretting it. On the contrary... I cannot imagine anyone who spends a single day out at this lodge not wishing for another day...and another day...and another day!

Beautiful and Clean

Our stay was amazing. The layout of the house is perfect for big crowds. It was very clean and updated nicely. We had 11 adults and 10 little kids and the house never felt crowded. Plenty of activities for everyone and nice for relaxing too. Travis was really great. He set up a fishing guide for the guys as well as making arrangement for skeet shooting. The pictures don't do this place justice. The house is Huge, the grounds are beautifuly maintained. We are already planning our next stay.

Family Getaway

This place was more than expected. The home was huge. The property was beautiful. The fishing was outstanding. Perfect place to take a large family for a getaway from everything. I would have given 5 stars but the place was a little dated and the hot tub was not currently working. That being said, they are updating and I met with the GM who I believe would go out of the way to make your stay great. Thanks again for the place, Travis and Steve Martin... Definitely will try to come back.
