The cabin is heated by an eco-friendly wood-chip heating system; there’s also a wood-burning stove in the kitchen and radiant heaters in the bedrooms. Outside, a sunny terrace with patio furniture, a lawn for sunbathing, a barbecue area, and a playground invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.

With no TV but plenty of peace and nature, this alpine cabin is ideal for guests who want to slow down and enjoy the simple life in the mountains.

Experience a piece of living history! The Zetzenberghütte, over 300 years old, is situated on a sunny high plateau near the village of Werfen in the Salzburg region. Lovingly restored and modernized with a keen sense of tradition and comfort, it combines authentic mountain hut charm with contemporary living comfort—perfect for families, couples, and those seeking peace and quiet who appreciate authenticity.

The cabin is situated in a windless, peaceful location and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Tennengebirge mountains. Whether you’re having breakfast on the terrace or spending the evening by the crackling tiled stove—here you can enjoy a slower pace of life and pure authenticity.

With a living area of 50 m², the Zetzenberghütte can accommodate up to 6 people:

The living room, with a corner bench, dining table, and tiled stove, invites you to enjoy cozy get-togethers.
A radio provides musical accompaniment—we’ve deliberately chosen not to have a TV so you can fully enjoy the peace and nature.

The kitchen is fully equipped:
electric stove, wood-burning stove with oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and everything you need for your meals at the cabin.

The Zetzenberghütte is accessible by car year-round, with parking available right outside the door.

Please note: Due to the proximity to the A10 Tauern Autobahn, slight traffic noise may occasionally be heard, depending on the wind direction.
