Very nice location, pleasant house, friendly owner

Nice, clean and comfortable house. Very friendly and helpful owners. Just a short drive from Orelle skilift. Great value for money. My sole recommendation would be a little bit better beds, all in all a great stay

Excellent stay

Daniele is a fantastic host who makes everything available for you and always happy to help. Perfect location for some of Cyclings iconic climbs with the Col de Télégraphe just half a km from the door. Other climbs are close by and this stay was perfect for us 7 guys looking to climb the high Alps and also catch 2 days of the TdF. Thank you Daniele and we will be sure to return.

Great base for an Alpine cycling trip

6 of us rented this place for a weeks cycling in the Alps. Perfect for the job. Excellent bike garage, lots of space inside and outside and all the essentials like a washing machine, parking. Host is very friendly and helpful. Be aware towels are not provided but all else is. Great spot just up a short hill from the town which, although small has most of what you need and St Jean is a short drive (or ride) away. lovely views. Very practical and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Comfy big house to relax in the Alps.

We spent a week in Saint Michel de Maurienne and the surrounding areas and stayed at Daniel and Monique's house. The house is supposed to be for 11 people, although a full house would have been a bit too tight. Since it was only for four of us, we had plenty of space to enjoy and relax. The kitchen was fully equipped (quite rare among houses for holiday rental) so we were able to cook every night. This was a plus because most restaurants were closed for the holiday season (August). Daniel and Monique were super nice and welcoming. I don't speak French but we managed to understand one another. This house is perfect for keen cyclists and hikers. I totally recommend it.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.Daniel der Gastgeber war super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt schön und ist gut ausgestattet. Lediglich die Matratzen der Betten könnten Mal ausgetauscht werden. Die Fahrradgarage war super hilfreich und es war auch genug Platz zum Parken für drei Autos vorhanden.

Todo bien tal cual se ve en el anuncio.La cocina es amplia y cuenta con todo lo necesario. Tiene menaje de sobra para 12 personas.El alojamiento cuenta con un pequeño garaje para las bicicletas con un soporte para hacer la mecánica y alguna herramienta. Las vistas de la casa son muy bonitas.Daniel es una persona muy atenta y estuvo pendiente de nosotros para todo lo que necesitamos. Durante la estancia hubo algún contratiempo que solucionó rápidamente.Recomendable 100%

Heerlijk verblijf op een mooie lokatie

De huiseigenaar die naast het huisje woont is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is een mooi gelegen huisje dat van vele gemakken voorzien is. Wij verbleven er met twee personen en voor ons was het een zeer ruim huisje. Ik vraag mij wel af of het bij een bezetting met meerdere personen (het huisje zou geschikt zijn voor circa 10 personen) niet wat krap wordt. Zeer geschikte uitvalsbasis om te (race)fietsen met een aantal grote Alpen collen in de directe omgeving. Een aanrader!

Deze vakantiewoning is perfect als je met een groep vrienden een leuke fietsvakantie wilt beleven. De ligging is perfect: In het dal, waardoor je na je tocht niet nog een klim op moet, en op fietsafstand van alle bekende en minder bekende mauriennecols. Het huisje is ruim, heeft voldoende (aparte) bedden, 2 badkamers en is op wandelafstand van het centrum, waar een grote carrefour is. De gastheer is zeer behulpzaam en heeft ons getrakteerd op een leuke, doch vrijblijvende, aperitief. Een aanrader.

Great Property in the Heart of the Alps

Myself and three friends stayed here for a one week cycling trip in September, and it was just what we needed. Plenty space, all of the amenities that we needed, including space to store and work on our bikes. It's located in easy reach of a number of the big and famous Alpine climbs, and a short drive to some of the others (Alpe d'Huez, for example). Daniel and his wife were perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming. If we were to visit the area again then we would try and book this property. Via Google Translate: Trois amis et moi-même avons séjourné dans cet hôtel pour une semaine à vélo en septembre et c'était exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. Beaucoup d'espace, toutes les commodités dont nous avions besoin, y compris un espace pour stocker et travailler sur nos vélos. Il est situé à proximité d'un certain nombre de grandes et célèbres ascensions alpines, et à quelques minutes de route de certaines des autres (Alpe d'Huez, par exemple). Daniel et sa femme étaient des hôtes parfaits, très sympathiques et accueillants. Si nous devions visiter la région à nouveau, nous essayerions de réserver cette propriété.

Excellent location for cyclists visiting the big Alpine Cols

We had a great holiday based in this spacious and well equipped property. The house is perfectly located for cycling many of the famous Alpine cols. The accommodation has lots of space, garden and terrace for barbecues, own garage for the bikes and has a central yet quiet location. Daniel Thevenon, the owner lives next doors and he was always on hand to offer friendly advice and local knowledge. Highly recommend this property and would definitely use again.

Great house perfect for cycling/Belle maison parfaite pour faire du velo

Great, spacious house, very well equipped, and very well located for cyclists. Comfortable and clean. Bike store. Very nice, welcoming and helpful owner, M. Thevenon. Good value. Good views from widows. Highly recommended. A very nice stay. Belle maison avec beaucoup d'espace, très bien équipée, et très bien localisée pour des cyclistes. Confortable et propre. Local a vélos. Très gentil, bienveillant propriétaire qui est disponible pour vous, M. Thevenon. Un bon prix. Jolies points de vues depuis les fenêtres. A saisir. Un très agréable séjour.

Uitstekende Uitvalsbasis voor uitdagende fietstochten over de mooiste alpencols

De woning voldeed geheel aan de verwachtingen voor wat betreft het ondernemen van fietstochten in de alpen. Met bergpassen als de col du Galibier, col de l'Iseran, de la Madeleine, de croix de Fer en vele andere in de directe omgeving is dit een waar paradijs voor de tourfietser. De woning zelf was ruim, compleet ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Hierbij moet gezegd worden dat het interieur hier en daar wel wat gedateerd was en rijp voor vervanging. Naast de woning is een afsluitbare fietsenstalling / sleutelruimte aanwezig. Achter de woning is een veranda aanwezig die zeer geschikt is voor de après-bike. Een nadeel van de locatie is dat in het dorp Saint Michel de Maurienne in de zomer weinig restaurants en terrassen geopend zijn. De dichtstbijzijnde mogelijkheid daarvoor bevindt zich 10 km verderop in Saint Jean de Maurienne. Daarnaast is er veel auto- en motorverkeer op de bergpassen in het hoogseizoen. De verhuurder woont zelf naast het appartement, is zeer gastvrij en kan zich naast het frans verstaanbaar maken in het engels. Kortom als locatie voor een fietsvakantie en het beklimmen van de mooiste cols in de Alpen is dit verblijf zeker aan te raden. Echter voor een vakantie in een rustige en stille omgeving moet je hier niet zijn vanwege de aanwezigheid van industrie, autosnelweg, route nationaal, een spoorbaan en bouwwerkzaamheden in de directe omgeving.

nous sommes d'accord avec vous les commerces de ST MICHEL manquent de restaurants et bars accueillants la vallée de la Maurienne est un axe très important vers l'ITALIE, heureusement que le logement ne se trouve pas en fond de vallée bien que ST MICHEL soit accessible à pied. Cycling Holiday

Had a great time here for our seven day cycling holiday, perfect location, all the famous cols on the doorstep, ate out a couple of times in the local restaurants, not expensive, rest of the time cooked our own food, all cooking utenscils provided, very clean and comfortable, owner Daniel could not be more helpful. Fantastische fietsvakantie in prachtige omgeving; gastvrije, vriendelijke eigenaars

In juni 2017 met 4 een fietsvakantie gehad in Saint-Michel de Maurienne. Het huis was zeer proper en alles was aanwezig (zeer ruim gasfornuis, oven, microgolf, afwasmachine, wasmachine, ruime kamers,...). De eigenaars waren zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en hielden toch afstand. Een aanrader!!

Super Wohnung für traumhafte Radtouren

Wir waren dort mit Freunden zum Radfahren und waren von der Wohnung und den sehr freundlichen Vermietern mehr als angetan. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man benötigt. Die Küche ist groß und das Wohnzimmer gemütlich, um die Touren revue passieren zu lassen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Verständigung ging mittels Google Übersetzer ganz passabel :)

Perfektes Basislager für Radler

Sauberes und hoch funktionales Ferienhaus für Aktivurlauber. Gute Raumaufteilung und eine Küche mit allen Gerätschaften, die man so braucht, um eine hungrige Mannschaft zu versorgen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Supermarkt etc. zu Fuß erreichbar. Und den Galibier vor der Tür! Was will man mehr? Kleinste Nachteile wie das wackelige Wlan haben wir gerne verziehen.

The perfect holiday location and house!

We stayed for 5 days in this amazing location with a group of 8 friends. We planned for a couple of days of cycling in this beautiful part of the French Alps. The house is in 1 word perfect! The house is well maintained, perfectly clean and homy. The 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms offer plenty of room for 8-12 people. The living room is a perfect spot to eat together and hang out. The kitchen is perfectly equiped with a huge refrigerator, a dishwasher (nice for a big group) and a washing machine. The tableware is plenty available. The house also includes a garage where you can store your bikes and have the opportunity to do some maintenance on your gear. The owners are very symphatic and provide you with a very warm welcome. They are always available for additional tips and information and surprised us with fresh fruits from the garden. The location is simply perfect. The local village offers services like a supermarket and restaurants and is centrally located in the Marienne Valley. The perfect starting point for amazing cycle tours and/or hiking and the like. People have a tendency to focus on Le Bourg D'Oissans but this area was an eye opener!!! The house is located with a nice view on the Alps surrounding the valley like the Telegraphe. To sum all things up: this was the perfect holiday home and I would recommend it strongly to others! Next time we plan to go to the Alps we will definitely check for availability again!! Many thanks Daniel for a great stay!

Perfect Holiday Home

The house was perfect for our four person biking holiday with lots of space, own privacy, own garage for the bikes and central yet quiet location. The owner living next doors has a great attitude and he was always ready to help us with any issue we might face. If French is not your strength, don't worry. None of us speaks French but we could easily communicate with the owner, it's all about attitude. Coming from a flat Nordic country we fell in love with the Alps. Now I know what road biking is at its' best I can fully recommend Daniel's accommodation, but don't fully book it, since we are coming back!

Great location for cycling the Maurienne Mountains

During the first week of August 2013 we stayed in this house with a group of 8 people; 2 women and 6 men (two families and Pino). The reason for us going to the Maurienne were the exquisite circumstances for cycling, while the women would take their change to climb mountains by foot. For cyclists this location is perfect, both during the day (steep mountain roads to ride) as during the evenings when one needs to recover from riding or walking through the mountains. The house is connected to the one of the neighbors but that does not cause any problem. Probably walls are that thick that no sound can pass through it. The house has 4 large sleeping rooms and can occupy 10 to 12 (or more) people. Two nice bathroom are situated on the first and second floor. So it was very spacious for our group. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a balcony and small terrace to enjoy the sun after climbing the mountain tops. To complete the scene a garden is provided on the hill side next to the house. We could use the large garage for storing our bikes and transportation equipment. I can’t remember there was a negative thing about this location. Only 300 m from the 'city centre' of St. Michel with all necessary shops and a supermarket. Also the owner was pleasant to deal with (French only). We all loved staying there and had a fantastic week.

merci pour votre appréciation, depuis votre séjour nous avons installé un HOTSPOT WIFI pour le gite, créant une connexion fiable. Désolé pour notre absence de maitrise des langues étrangères mais avec de la bonne volonté nous arrivons toujours à établir le contact. Bienvenue à nos amis cyclistes.

Cols à vélo; séjour mémorable

La description correspond bien au gite. Il est très bien situé, à proximité des services (épicerie, resto, gare) et centralisé pour l’accès aux différents cols alpins. Nous avons apprécié l’accueil des proprios, tout ce qu’ils ont mis à notre disposition (même le garage / atelier très utile pour les vélos), toutes les infos et conseils qu’il nous à procurer pour profiter au max de notre séjour et leur compagnie qui fut très agréable. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié l’aménagement nous permettant de prendre les repas à l’extérieur.
