This was the most stocked home we have ever stayed in. So many personal touches that I cannot list them all! The kitchen was stocked as if someone lives there every day. I highly recommend this place it was amazing.

This was such a beautiful home, perfect for our family of 7 to have a nice holiday getaway together! Each space was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and Rachel was a wonderful hostess, communicating well in advance and responding quickly to questions.

Excellent house! Host went the extra mile, really thinking through all of guests' needs (i.e.: extra charging cable, a sharpie, various detergents and stain removers. The kids' room has a very useful double bed with a single bed bunk).One highlight was the kitchen. So many of the gadgets were the very same ones I use at home, down to the special dishwashing scrubber I've settled on. Shout out to the microwave, which is a Panasonic inverter model (the best). She had ziplocks and leftover containers, a salad spinner, a spice drawer, cake and pie pans, a pancake griddle, ceramic nonstick pans, and all sorts of appliances including blender, food processor and even ice cream maker. loved the yard. Got up early to watch the sunrise from the very top of the slope. Felt like a local, sitting on the front porch waving to the dog walkers, but distant enough from the road that felt very private. Had a nice chat with the friendly next door neighbors.Although the house isn't jumbo, it had lots of different spaces to congregate in, which is great when you're traveling with a crowd. Everyone could fit in the kitchen/living room/dining space, but if you need to sidebar or time out, there were plenty of offset spaces.Also: the owner manages property herself. We had plenty of nice text chats. She was very responsive: eg, the cleaners had put the mop in an inaccessible closet, and she had her helper come over to take it out. I hope to return!

Donā€™t Think Twice - Book It!

Fantastic house and fantastic host. Itā€™s apparent from when you first step in the house the owners take pride in their home. The best appointed home weā€™ve ever stayed in. Cleanliness was top notch as was the location. Host was incredibly responsive. The house was perfectly located for all our activities, from white water rafting to zip lining, horseback riding, touring the Garden of the Gods, taking the Conway Railway, and even visiting the zoo. You canā€™t go wrong with this home! Next time weā€™re in Colorado Springs weā€™ll be staying here again without a doubt.

Family Friendly Home

Home is very clean in a safe neighborhood. The home provided really everything you could think of which made our stay even easier. Very well located for all the attractions like Garden of the Gods, Manitou Incline, Pikes Peak, 7 Falls, Cave of the Winds, etc. Great fenced in yard for our dogs. Back yard is pretty steep, but there is a flat area in the front in case you have an old dog who cant do the steeper back yard. Very, very clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Quick stay to see our cadet

We had a wonderful stay at the purple house. Every detail was taken care of from comfortable beds to local bath products. The hosts were very helpful with info and suggestions for the area. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful home

One of the best VRBO'S we've ever stayed at. Super clean. Nicely decorated. Everything is top of the line from the pots and pans to the linens. The kitchen is very nice with every door and drawer labeled so looking for something needed was unnecessary. It has an awesome spice drawer.The back yard has three levels with great views. One level has a firepit we didn't get to use as it was too cold in the evening. The beds all seem to be memory foam except the one in the master room. The downstair bedrooms are down a step without on suite bath.The neighborhood is very quiet and lovely.Our advice: Don't pass this gem up!

Relaxing and quiet

The Purple House is definitely one of my most favorite bnb's I've stayed at. Anything needed for a stay away from home was available. Rachel was amazing to work with and communication was top notch. My only suggestion to anyone considering this location is to have 4 wheel drive. We will stay again.

Perfect Stay

We stayed here in January while visiting family. This house was exactly what we were looking for! It's located in a very quiet neighborhood yet just a couple minutes' drive to Manitou, great restaurants and tourist attractions. Morning walks in the neighborhood were peaceful and next to no traffic. We enjoyed watching the squirrels frolicking in the mature trees during our walks. Pike's Peak is visible from the house and the backyard, which also offers nice views of the valley.The host provided for everything. Nothing was lacking, which often is the case for kitchen supplies. We have stayed in about four house rentals and this one takes the cake for providing everything needed to feel at home. Well done! If you are pondering a stay in this area, you can't go wrong with this property. Happy vacationing!

Amazing gem

This home is very well taken care of with all of the amenities that you may need for your vacation. It is cute inside and out and the beds are very comfy! The host is very responsive, accommodating and communicates quickly. We canā€™t wait to go back for a longer vacation!

Rachel is a perfect host! Spot on with supplying everything our group could want including baby basics and games/toys for kiddos. Kitchen/bath completely stocked/equipped nicer than any Vrbo! The smores were the icing on the cake. Great location to everything. Thank you so much

Beautiful Getaway w/in the city but features an amazing mountain view

Perfect Quiet Scenic Location

July 4th Family Vacation close to Pikes Peak. Wife and I hiked Pikes Peak and enjoyed Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and Cripple Creek with the rest of the family. The "Purple House" was the perfect place at the start and end of each day. From mountain views on the front porch drinking coffee to Mountain views in the back yard cooking dinner. Host had great communication and the house had everything and more. Even though it was July, the house stayed comfortable and the area was very quiet.

Charming home in a great location.

After growing up in a busy metropolitan area, I set out to find a place that spoke to me and fit my life. The first time I visited Springs I was hooked, specifically the charming, funky west side. It would be another thirteen years before I got to call it home, but it drew me right back in immediately. I love the small-town feel, the incredible neighbors we get to call our friends, and the abundant access to connect with nature.

A massage therapist by trade, my profession is currently on hold as I raise an energetic little lady in my every waking hour. Youā€™ll find us roaming trails, building forts, or-my FAVORITE-paddling any body of water we can get to.

I love people and travel, and hosting has given me the chance to experience both in a new, broader way. To share the home we love with people from all over the world is such a delight. I love to connect personally with my guests, and make it my aim to welcome you as best as I possibly can. I look forward to hosting you!

Old Colorado City offers such a welcoming feel. From walking the tree-lined streets, to easy access for restaurants and events both downtown and in OCC, it doesn't take long to feel right at home. (Fun fact: 9 of the top 10 restaurants on yelp in Colorado Springs are within 2 miles of our home!) Convenient location with the peace and quiet of being tucked far away from the city, it's the best of both worlds.
