Rent SurfSounds (800 sq ft suite) in conjunction with Dory Cove (800 sq ft common wall suite) to sleep 11 in beds, offering a total of 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 family rooms, 2 full kitchens. Hot tub and large shared deck. For willing/young at heart its possible to sleep 3 additional on the recliners in the sectional..

Property is located next to the Roads End State Park, with a generous planted buffer offering separation from public access, parking area, etc. DIRECT BEACH ACCESS is available via the next-door public beach path at the park, or use our private stairs from the yard! Enjoy watching the surfers, kite boarders, kite flying and sand castle building. With some luck you may spot a sea lion or whale!

SurfSounds suite (800 sq ft), by itself comfortably sleeps 4 in beds. First bedroom has queen, large second bedroom has set of twins. 3 recliners in the sectional feature fully tilting reclining seats, adjustable headrest/lombar, and charge ports.
Open living space design with panoramic windows in kitchen and family room offering seamless oceanfront view. Bamboo hardwood hallway and bedrooms, (2023) new family area carpet as well as new plank-look laminate in kitchen and new dishwasher. Bedrooms, hallway and (1) tiled bath with tub-shower remodeled (2013). Solid core doors utilized along hallway for noise buffer from family room, kitchen, etc.

Dory Cove suite (800 sq ft) has 2 bedrooms and 1-1/2 baths (shower) and sleeps 7 (5 in beds). Peak of the ocean from the master bedroom which has a queen and half bath. Large second bedroom has one full size and a single twin. Lazy Boy sleeper sofa in family room provides sleeping for 2 (foam mattress). As featured in other suite, panoramic windows across kitchen and family room for breathtaking view.

Great location and reasonably priced. We rented both sidesā€”Dory Cove and Surfsoundsā€”of what is basically a duplex with a shared beachfront deck. Our group was six adults and four kids. We had no issue with finding space for everyone. Though the property is located near the public beach access, it doesnā€™t pose any issues (even if there are occasional evening ā€˜stragglersā€™ using that parking lot). Close access to the store, restaurants, downtown. The owners are responsive to questions, communicate clearly, and provide easy to follow rental instructions.Of the two sides, Dory Cove is better for group dining as it includes a large (almost too large) dining room table. Both sides were well-appointed in terms of beds, linens, kitchen supplies, deck chairs, etc. Surfsounds is better for showering, given that Dory Cove really, really, really needs a shower door to prevent splashing/leaking.Hot tub was fine, with a spigot and hose provided to keep down on the sand when using it. We did, however, have to fill it up when we arrived, as the water line was far below the upper jets (which taxes the motor and can cause issues).The deck and beach steps need attention. There are ā€˜softā€™ spots on both. And the window mechanisms on both sides need to be repaired or replaced, given that opening the windows takes a lot of effort. Both sides also need to have their climate controls repaired, as one was non-responsive and the other kept flashing a ā€˜low batteryā€™ message.All in all, recommended!

Unbelievable location!

Owners were so accommodating when half our group couldn't travel due to covid quarantines. House was perfect, clean with super comfy beds. Location right on the beach was unbelievable, and hot tubbing with the ocean views and snow falling was absolutely dreamy. Highly recommend this rental.

Excellent Beach Location

You honestly would have a hard time beating this location. It sits SO close to the beach. The house is a bit wonky for ā€œtogethernessā€ as it is like two apartments side by side. So each living room is rather small. But we made it work and enjoyed it a lot. The hot tub was somewhat cloudy when we got there, but it is difficult to keep every bit of sand out of it. We religiously used the sprayer hose provided, to hose off our feet and sand toys. I would highly recommend this house - its proximity to the beach was so wonderful!

Dory Cove

Great location and perfect beach access. Back deck was great for whale watching and listening to the sea and watching people on the beach. Kitchen supplies were adequate. Table tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard were great games at times we were away from the beach. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Property is close to great restaurants and shopping and is in a quiet neighborhood even though it is next door to public access to the beach. I would recommend this to anybody. We hope that we can return within the next few years. Thank you for allowing us the use of your property.

Amazing property

From the moment we stepped through the back doors of SurfSounds and Dory Cove we were amazed by the ocean views. The ocean and all its beauty was just steps away. You could walk for miles or enjoy the deck to watch the kids flying a kite or playing in the water. We were vacationing with 2 families and rented both properties. Both were clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The property was in a quiet location, which was surprising given it is adjacent to a state park. We were within a mile of Safeway and restaurants. It was a relaxing end to our long family vacation.

Nice Relaxing Little Home

We rented both sides of this and really enjoyed the quick access to the beach and the quietness. Only 2 recommendations. 1. maybe put a handrail that can be removed into and out of the hottub, as my mother in law was having an issue stepping down into the tub, 2nd maybe clean up the path access to the beach. Other than that nice little place. Had a great time and would rent from them again.

Great location & views

We really enjoyed staying here. We rented both sides, but spent most of our time in Dory Cove. It has a more beachy quaint feel and larger dining table and wood floors, which we found perfect. We loved the quiet location with large ocean view windows. It was great to be right on the beach. The hot tub was big enough to seat all 5 friends. Perfect for the group who wants a little privacy but still be with everyone. Weā€™d definitely stay again!

Perfect rental for our family trip

Fantastic Place!!!!

First of all the property is so lovely! We rented both sides and had 11 in our group. There was more than enough room for us. The deck is large and we all sat together enjoying the ocean view. The decor in both homes are updated and very stylish. If you plan on staying with a large group I suggest bringing a couple of folding lawn chairs. There are 5-6 on the deck and a bench however just for comfort you may want to bring a few extra. The owners Dave and Karen have been great! Everytime I had a question while booking they answered very promtly. We will definitely stay there again! Wonderful experience!

Great Property for Groups

We had 8 adults and 6 children in our group and the duplex setup was just about right for our dynamics. The families with kids stayed in one side and the older generation stayed in the other side. The kids went back and forth between the two sides as they pleased. This allowed the older people to take a break from all the kid-commotion when they needed it. The beach was so accessible (from the house, or from the Road's End State Park that was right next door) and the deck/yard was a safe space for the kids. The owners provided a hose and water basins for us to wash our feet in after we came off the beach (Thank you!). We used that a lot. the deck was perfect for relaxing or playing. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. I kind of wished there were more basic kitchen utensils like measuring cups and spoons. There were some, but they were hard to find, and I never did find a complete set. But otherwise, the property provided just what we needed for cooking, baking, and dining. I was impressed with the amount of games, movies, and children's toys there were. We didn't watch any movies, but the option was there for bad weather. And we definitely explored the toys and games closet. This is a well maintained property. The online description gave an accurate description of what the house was like and the owners were prompt and courteous when responding to any questions. We were pleased with this property and would recommend it to anyone looking for a large group gathering and/or easy beach access.

End of the School Year Get-Away

We loved our stay at Roads End! The views were the main attraction for us, since we live in Central Oregon. The kids loved the easy access to the beach and all the sand fun. This is a place I would return and highly recommend it to anyone. The owners are nice, easy to reach, and respond quickly, if you have an issue.

50th birthday celebration

Our group had a great time & our teens had fun, too. The place had accommodated our group, nice & clean with a great view of the beach especially in the morning so relaxing, plus has an easy access to the beach. We will surely come back & rent the place again.

Great Location!

We stayed 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. Great location with easy Beach Access. Casino was a short 5 minute drive. Wonderful views from both living rooms and plenty of space for our group of 7 adults and 1 child. The hot tub was welcoming after a cold day on the beach. My only negative would be there is only one TV in each unit. So if you like to watch TV in bed, take the hide a bed in the living room. I would recommend this rental.

Awesome, cozy beach rental

We loved having both places rented. It was so nice to have our own space, but also be together for meals and hanging out. Great location, close to town but quiet and not crowded beach area.

My husband Dave and I had originally purchased a house in the Taft area of Lincoln City. Although it was very close to beach access, it did not have an ocean view. After owning that house for seven years, we decided to sell it with the goal of having a house with an ocean view.

It took us almost a year to find this property. Our criteria seemed simple, but many houses we looked at did not meet the two main requirements: Good ocean view and close beach access. After viewing over 50 homes, this property by far had the best ocean view! Can't get much better than ocean front with floor to ceiling windows! To top it off, we ended up with direct access to the beach. The deck offers good visibility for when the kids want to go down to the sand. They stay back from the tide and usually play in the stream that flows into the ocean, build sand forts or castles, or join up with other kids on the beach!
Originally the concept of having two units was not our first choice. However we have found that by insulating the walls between the units, the noise transmission is minimal to undetectable. Since our first rental we have had no noise issues.

With the large capacity and full ammenities offered by adjoining suites, we receive continuous interest from past or recent guests interested in booking both sides for reunions or annual gatherings. (If you have a smaller party you may instead consider renting just one side; Dory Cove (vrbo/HA 486935, w/ hot tub) or SurfSounds (vrbo/HA 581555).
Frequently younger guests from the two sides will join up to enjoy the beach.
Location is awesome for watching beach activity. On occasion guests report seeing whales. With the right conditions, kite surfers with colorful kites frequent this beach; they can fly unbelievably high into the air. You have to see it to believe it.
