Welcome to our charming 3-bedroom vacation home in Whitewood! Nestled just a short 24-minute drive from the breathtaking Black Hills National Forest and a 15-minute drive from the stunning Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, this property offers the perfect base for your Black Hills adventure.

As a guest, you'll enjoy free WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, and a smart TV with satellite/cable channels - all traveler favorites that will make your stay comfortable and convenient.

The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and more, allows you to easily prepare delicious meals, while the dining table provides the perfect setting to savor them together. After a day of exploring, unwind in the cozy living room or step out onto the balcony and take in the fresh mountain air.

The 3 bedrooms have queensize beds and all are located on the main floor. 2 bathrooms include towels and a hair dryer. Air conditioned for your comfort. You have all the essentials you need for a relaxing getaway. And with the added bonus of a DVD player, video library, and books, you can enjoy a cozy night in as well.

South Dakota 2024

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 5 and our dog. We loved the clean and comfortable cabin. It has a beautiful view and a secluded feel.

Relaxing oasis!

This property was a true gem! There are several seating areas and a beautiful view from the porch and decks. All of the amenities and the nicest hosts! Truly a great place to stay!

Amazing Trip

Awesome place to stay. Plenty of room and a great view.

I would stay here again. We have 7 in our family and this was plenty of room for everyone. The owners are super nice and helpful. Great view and a nice quiet place to relax outside in the evenings.

Spacious

This house was a great respite for our family of five after several days in cramped hotels. The house is so well maintained that it looks brand new. Spacious and well equipped. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Landlord less there when we checked in n out. He was our neighbor. Think he came in when we left??

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay there. House is clean, perfect location, quiet, and just what we were looking for. Dave and Barb were great, super helpful, and we only saw them at check-in and check-out, so had plenty of privacy. Beautiful sunrises in the yard, and only minutes from Deadwood, Sturgis, and Spearfish. Horses in the pasture next door were beautiful. WiFi and TV worked great. Exactly as advertised.

Stunning property 💚

A private, peaceful, beautifully built home sitting on a fenced pasture facing away from town with stunning views of the Black Hills including cattle and horses. 3 gorgeous decks-views on every side of this home. This home was built facing a direction where you even have privacy while you are outdoors and set very far away from the road with an entryway marked by large boulders and iron eagle sculptures. Immaculately clean with oversized comfortable furniture in each living area.

The Greatest Black Hills Vacation

We had the best time ever in Whitewood! Perfect location and truly centered among all the great sites to see - Keystone, Spearfish, Deadwood, Sylvan Lake and many others. Barb and Dave were so kind and our kids are still talking about our visit with them! I would recommend this cabin to anyone with a family! We all felt like we were at home. The cabin was well stocked with everything and was absolutely perfect for our family! We will definitely be back and will recommend this cabin to family and friends!! Thanks again for a great experience!

We Loved IT!!

There were 6 of us plus our dogs and we just had a blast. The home was roomy and beautiful. The kitchen was amazing to cook in. I love to entertain. We watched movies on the rain day and was just able to sit back and relax when we wanted to. At night all of us got a great night sleeps the beds were fabulous. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was. Thank you Bard and Dave for allowing us to stay in your home. Again we had a great time.

Lovely home!

From the time we booked our stay, the owners/property managers kept in touch, answering any questions. They also reached out to us the day before providing information on check-in. They met us at the house to give us the keys and to answer any questions. We had an instant connection, and appreciated how involved they were with the property. This was a beautiful home with easy access. The way the house was built facing open fields provided beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets, along with deer each night, cattle and horses nearby. We can’t say enough about this property and the owners. We definitely recommend this spacious and lovely home that has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing vacation!

Awesome experience!!! Planning on coming back!

Dave and Barb were great hosts. Nice people and we’re a few minutes away if we had issues, which we didn’t. They were very accommodating, even asked if we need a Christmas tree put up. The cabin is beautiful and is setup perfectly. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Outside was a awesome view of the hills. Seen deer everyday, even had some about 5 yards out the dining room window when eating supper one night. Dog and kids had room to play outside. Location was perfect. Easy to get to and quiet but only 15 minutes from Spearfish, Deadwood and Sturgis. Dave and Barb, thanks for the experience. We Will be back!!!

Great location!!!

The property is in a great location!! The house is in a quiet area and also close to Spearfish, if you need to pick up anything or get a bite to eat. (I recommend the Millstone Restaurant). The location is convenient to not only Spearfish, but Deadwood and Sturgis too! The house had every amenity that you need!! The check in /out was great! Communication with Dave & Barb was good, was nice talking with Dave. He was there to greet us when we arrived! The only thing was that I was not able to get a good night's sleep the whole time I was there because the bed I slept in, you felt all the springs in the mattress and a could not get comfortable at all. I don't know about the other two beds. Overall a great place !!!!

Our amazing trip to the Black Hills

The home is wonderful and spacious! It is private and centrally located so there was easy access to all the tourist spots. The cabin is very clean and new with very comfortable furnishings. We enjoyed sight-seeing during the day and coming home to the relaxing cabin at night. The town has a lovely little diner and a fun bar. Barb and Dave were extremely easy to work with and I highly recommend their cabin. The only comment (and it is not meant in a negative way) - The master bedroom does not have a bathroom door on the adjoining bath. Just make sure whoever stays in this room is aware. Privacy was easily maintained by closing the bedroom door. We loved the decks and wrap around porches!!! Fabulous place. Thank you for an amazing vacation property and I have already recommended this cabin to several of my family and friends.

We have lived in the Black Hills for most of our lives and are familiar with local events and attractions. Dave is a self-employed taxidermist and I (Barb) am retired. The home was built on land we purchased in 2000 and where we built our own home. The rental home was constructed primarily by the both of us during our free time and now we are offering to share it.

This would be a great place to spend a vacation to get away from the rush of daily living. Enjoy the solitude of country living and still close to many attractions. Everything you need on one level.
The property is owner managed and we live close enough to be able to assist you if you require anything. It is a newer home built to accommodate a gathering of people with newer furnishings.

We love this home and the Black Hills. Everyone should experience what we take for granted. Unlike many properties, we do "in person" check in and check out. We like to be sure you know the details about the home and how to reach us if you need anything.
