Enjoy the luxurious, relaxing atmosphere of this spacious 2300 sq. ft., 2 bedroom, 2 bath, single-level private home in a quiet residential neighborhood near Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter and many golf courses and parks. There is also a grocery, pharmacy, deli, bank, hair salon, sports bar, UPS, several restaurants, etc. within walking distance.

This elegant, non-smoking home features a private, resort-style backyard, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with a Pool & BBQ . Inside there is a beautiful kitchen and eat-in breakfast area. Adjacent to the dining area is a spacious family room with vaulted ceilings and 60 inch flat screen TV. The living room has a pool table and surround seating. The master bathroom has been completely remodeled and features a large walk in shower. There is WiFi throughout the home. Property is surrounded by walking paths and includes use of 2 bikes.

Beautiful, spacious home near the Mayo Clinic

We flew in from California so that my husband could have a life-saving transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. As he was required to stay in the area for at least a month after, we looked for a spacious, one-story home, with a private backyard for his long recovery. We wanted to be less than fifteen minutes from the Mayo Clinic as he had frequent appointments each week. This home was exactly what we needed with the short commute to Mayo, a walk-in shower (that has bench seating), and comfortable furniture. This home was very accessible for someone recovering a major operation and has only a small step in the garage and at the front door. The backyard is beautiful and a wonderful place to read and relax. This home was also fully stocked with everything we needed from quality cookware to ample sheets and towels. We ended up staying for over two months, and Susan (the host) was wonderful to work with. While we were in the area for a major medical operation, we also took lots of day trips during my husbandā€™s recovery. Some of our favorite day trips included Cave Creek, Goldfield Ghost Town, Bartlett Lake, Jerome, and Globe. We will forever be grateful to our wonderful host and her beautiful home.

Overall experience

The check in process could have been better. We received a pre-check in email which gave basic information. Had to look for garage door opener as it was not in plain sight. No book explaining in detail the workings of the house. Explanation of how to work TVā€™s was poor. The house was in need of significant cleaning. Kitchen and bedroom cabinets and bedroom carpet were especially dirty. A fresh coat of paint in master bedroom is needed. Incomplete set of dishes. We were without hot water in master bath tub for 1 day and then no hot water in master shower for 7 days. The owner was responsive to these problems but would not make any compensation for our inconvenience. Bath towels could use refreshing. Pillows need to have covers. The listing did not have a photo of second bedroom or bathroom. The outdoor living space was very nice. Beautiful backyard. If the above items are addressed we would definitely give the house a 5 star rating. The Kleinā€™s

Lovely home but issues

Home and location lovely. Looked clean but after sneezing and coughing in bedroom found lots of dust and dirt on surfaces, especially lamp shades. Cleaned them and texted photo to owner but no response. Comforter dirty and curtains very dusty. Small carpets at doorways extremely dirty and dusty so we just put them on the outdoor dining table. I texted her a photo of the dust and dirt but no response. I'm assuming whoever cleans just doesn't do a good job. She claimed there were cleaning products but nothing was there. Owner said she would not charge an exorbitant amount for heating the pool but later when we were confirming that, she claimed it was first time she heard we wanted to use the poo and she would not heat it unless we paid a very huge amount dailyl. I would not rent a house with a pool if we didn't plan on using it. This was very odd since the main reason for renting the house was the pool. She only communicated through VRBO which was difficult. Speaking would have been easier. Hair dryer was broken. I told her but she didn't respond. I purchased a new one and left it there for others to use. Instructions for basics were outdated and not precise so we had to contact owner often until we understood how to use tv, deal with garbage, etc. . It's a lovely home but not clean, no cleaning products, non-working appliances and owner not responsive. Owner not available, not nearby and there is no representative to help with these situations. We would not rent there again.

Save your money!

This house is in a great area and the weather was wonderful during the three months we were there. That being said , I cannot recommend that anyone stay in this house in its present condition. The owner was pleasant, fairly easy to contact, but apparently is not local, and has not spent much time in the house. It was obvious that no one checked the condition of the house or its furnishings before we arrived. If we could have gotten a refund we would have left. We had to purchase a number of items such as ironing board, glasses, iron, toaster, clean mop, towels, so we could live there comfortably. Nothing has been cleaned out from previous renters or owners- from old coffee mugs(and I mean really old) to food, etc. Sue did send pots and pans, coffee mugs, kitchen towels. Most things in the kitchen had been put away dirty, so we had to wash everything we pulled out to use. I could go on, but what's the point? No one has taken care of this house! We were so disappointed and upset. So much money for so much aggravation! I DO NOT recommend.

Perfect property for long term stay

We moved to the area from DC and needed a place to stay while we found a home to buy. Susan was great from the start with clear, helpful communication. The house was extremely well equipped with an amazing back yard. Located on a quiet street, directly across from the golf course, it was perfect for our needs. We stayed for four months and loved our time there. I would thoroughly recommend this house for your stay.

This property is beautifully appointed and well maintained. It is in an ideal location with shopping, restaurants and services available in five minutes walk. The neighborhood is quiet and resirt-like with a great park nearby. This is the perfect spot for a restful getaway. Excellent response by owner to minor maintenance needs. Beautiful house

This is an outstanding property and a tremendous value.

The location of the property is convenient to restaurants, golf courses, shopping and other great outdoor activities. The walking path that circles the Kierland Golf course, that is across the street from the home, is safe and well maintained. The home itself is very comfortable. The two bedroom layout makes it easy to entertain the occasional guest. The master bedroom is very comfortable, while the master bath and walk-in closet are both spacious and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy home cooked meals. There is a propane gas grill on the patio that cooked many a fine steak during our stay. We found the patio table to be the most enjoyable place to sit and eat. There is also a very nice wine storage unit under the bar that we found quite useful. All in all, Susan is a fine proprietor who responded quickly and without question to minor items that we asked to be addressed. I would stay there again, and would encourage others to do the same. For the money, it is a wonderful value.

Kierland in the Springtime

This two bedroom house was just right for my wife and me. My wife used the pool nearly every day, and didn't mind the cool water temperature although it was unheated. We were glad to have wifi available and Netflix on the tube. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. We took advantage of walking the perimeter of the Kierland golf course which abuts the property. We had great spring weather, so spent a lot of time in the back yard, and enjoyed outside dinners in the warm evenings. We would like to stay again.

Wonderful Home

My husband and I had the privilage of spending a month is this home. It was a true retreat. Susan has thought of everything was so helpful from the start to the end of our vacation. We found the house to be restful, clean and very welcoming. Beds are very comfortable, yard is amazing. Home is located close to malls, restaurants and things to do. There is even a golf course 1/2 block from the house. This was a real jewel to find and we enjoyed staying here. I would certainly highly recommend this house. Great location, great owner and wonderful home.
