The host was wonderful, speakes English well enough to serve our needs. The home is absolutely beautiful and the location great for day trips into Florence or to explore the small towns of Tuscany.

Beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany
The house, the property, and the location were all spectacular, BUT I wouldn’t even consider renting this property without having a car. Taxis were extremely difficult to get and we were left walking significant distances from restaurants and the town of Scandicci. This may not have been as challenging in cooler weather, but it was 100F during our visit.

Great base for exploring Tuscany!
My family (4 kids) stayed here for 5 nights while we explored Tuscany. It was an awesome base and was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space and loads of historic charm and character. The views were beautiful. The host was responsive and left us some homemade olive oil when we had trouble with the internet. We did have to get a little creative drying our clothes after doing laundry, but we have learned it is apparently normal for homes in Italy to only have a washer. Just plan ahead if you plan to do laundry and give yourself a couple days for them to hang dry if needed. We did have a toddler that we had to watch carefully around the stairs, but that is also to be expected whenever there are stairs. Overall this was a great stay and was really spacious.

Wonderful experience
Alina's property is lovely and the perfect getaway outside the bustle of Florence. Alina met us for check-in and left a kind welcome gift. We had so much fun staying at the farmhouse! There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and we loved sitting outside. We also all loved the historic nature of the farmhouse. Others mentioned a busy road in the reviews, but we did not have any issues - driveway situated for easy in and out and the farmhouse walls are super thick so there wasn't any noise. We ate at an excellent steakhouse in Scandicci and wished we had more time to explore the immediate area.

Gorgeous renovated country home, wrapped in olive groves, gateway to Firenze and Tuscany
We loved the beautiful country home Alina and her family manage, which is nestled into the olive groves in the hills outside Florence. The home is immaculate, with all the necessities. Eating cornetti and caffe outside on the patio with chirping cicadas and the wind ruffling the olive branches was delightful. We enjoyed the bottle of wine which welcomed us, and the homemade organic cold press oil produced at their home. Comfortable beds for our family of five, wifi and a/c for the end of July and the two foot thick walls kept us cool when we returned home from day trips to Tuscan hills. A memorable dinner at castello Gabbiano was a short drive away. Our host was gracious and made this Tuscan retreat the best part of our trip. Grazie!

Beautiful Tuscan Home
We enjoyed our Tuscan home and kids absolutely loved the pet bunny roaming around our beautiful yard:). The home is close to many sites by car-pisa(1 hour), Florence(10 min), Lucca (45 min), cinque terre (1-3/4 hours), Chianti (you're in it!)...we loved the private area out front to eat too. Alina was very polite and welcomed us into the property upon arrival.
Ciao Alina molte grazie!!!

Florence and the Hill Country Too
Podere Fichereto met all of our needs. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Alina was very easy to work with, punctual, and quickly responded to all of our questions and recommended great restaurants and wineries. Our group was 2 couples, but you could easily add in a couple of kids too. It met all of our needs. We wanted to see both Florence and part of the surrounding area. We went to Florence via tram - a 10 minute drive to the station with lots of parking and then about 20 minutes by tram into the middle of town. We went in late June and the tram was a little crowded at times, but very easy. The tram station is next to the supermarket which was very convenient. It was nice to relax at our temporary home after the very busy crowded days in Florence. A car is highly recommended for staying here. We also spent a day visiting a hill country town, Volterra, and Pisa/Lucca and wine tasting. We would stay here again. This is a good choice if you want to get a sampling of Tuscany.
