(Listing Note...after 15 years of self management we have transitioned to a management company. Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals. (ECVR) for those interested in this property after March 7th, 2026 They have set up a duplicate VRBO listing where they are managing the calendar and reservations. )

Admire the beauty of some of the best Gulf beaches. Marvel at the diverse architecture that defines our vibrant communities. Or learn about the area’s rich history, culture, and wonders. We promise you an experience filled with lasting memories.

In the Heart of Old Destin. Sunchase town-homes are the original highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from the Whales Tale There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Close to everything, comes with everything.
Purchased in 2012 this newly remodeled unit is a 'No smoking, No pets' Studio unit which will sleep four people The entrance to this unit is ground level with no stairs. The Studio Unit comes fully equipped has a King Size Bed, Kitchen and bath. There is also Queen Sleeper Sofa in the living room. There are 2 Flatscreen TV's, and a DVD Player. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Appliances, Dishes, Silverware, and Cookware. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer for your convenience.

The private balcony is equipped with chairs for a relaxing evenings in the breeze. A gated staircase allows all renters direct access to the beach and first floor balcony with an outdoor shower and beach chairs to take to the beach, The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

There is one designated parking spot for this rental that accommodates 2 standard cars, and it is directly in front of the unit.

Beach Time
The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach. Play in the beach all day and rinse off in the outdoor shower.

Lastly, no more looking for the perfect beach spot since the unit is deeded all the beach to to the water!

Loved staying here!

My husband and I stayed for a week with our 2 month old and it was a great place to stay! To step out the door and be on the beach was priceless, especially with an infant. The only thing that was difficult was the floor squeaked in places when walked on and it made it a little hard at night when the baby was asleep. We will definitely pursue staying here in the future!

The owner James is always quick to get in touch with, and helpful fpr anything you may need during your stay! Last year we stayed in 2b, which was larger but 4b actually met all of our needs for just me and my partner. I never understood negative ratings for this property. For the money, you can never beat this place! The private beach, ocean views, and amenities that are readily available also make this location well worth it! Thank you James, we'll be back next year!!!

Wonderful Anniversary get away

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. I loved walking out the door to the sand no crowded elevators. The beach area wasn’t crowded. Just a short ways down it looked like ants on the beach there were so many people. The Studio flat was clean and comfortable. No frills just the minimum of what you need. We didn’t need much especially for 2 nights. Our time was spent on the beach and the porch. The building definitely needs some TLC but overall we were very pleased. Oh and we loved that it was so family oriented. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

To be able to walk to the beach without having to even put flip flops on- priceless. The view from the deck was also priceless. The condo itself is very rough. Lacked so many basic amenities. And what items they had in the condo were in terrible condition. Highly recommend this location to experience the location itself but don’t expect much from the condo.

A Well Needed Get Away!!!

You cannot beat the view and convenient access to the beach which was steps off of the deck. I love this place and will come back again!!!

Wonderful Stay

The property was as described. Only issue was the noise. Being in the bottom floor you could hear the upstairs tenants walking, talking, moving around. Every time someone came out our in the upstairs portion of the front door, it sounded as if someone was coming into our unit. Was quite disturbing.

Prefect location!

Great location!!!!!! Everything you need very close. Good interior, except not cleaned good. Nothing fancy, a place to sleep, but right on the beach. A private beach. not crowded. The back deck could use some major TLC.

Amazing

This is a great place for a nice, quiet and peaceful vacation! The room was extraordinary! It was clean and beautiful! You can hear footsteps above you but that was no problem to us! A great stay and we will definitely be back!

Right on the beach!

Great location directly on the beach! Cute little studio but with plenty of room for a couple. The deck overlooks the beach and feels very private. As an added bonus, its only about a mile from the outlets! Is in walking distance of a couple of restaurants/bars, shopping and small winery. There is a two bedroom condo above this studio. Both condos share an exterior entrance. Would make a great combo for large families to enjoy.

Location is key

Stayed an Sticks in the Sand unit 4B for 2 nights. The condo is just okay. Very minimal comforts but it didn't matter because you are literally steps away from the emerald waters of Mirimar! There is a circle K directly across the street, and lots of grocery stores and restaurants close by. My fav part was the beach closet filled to the brim with anything you need for beach days leftover from past guests. Least fav? The very pungent smell of mildew and the bed is wrapped in plastic which makes for terribly uncomfortable night. Overall I'd stay here again due to location and price.

Great little beach house. Has everything you need and you can’t get a better view. Right on the beach. I loved it so much I added another night to my stay no problem. Would stay here again.

Great view and perfect location

It was the perfect size for my husband and I. Also very close to a bunch of restaurants! We really enjoyed our stay here. And the beach being directly down from our little condo couldn’t get any better!

We are not professional renters. We started renting because James's originally purchased a home on the beach and for years he rented out the first floor since he only needed half the space.. We call it Sticks in the Sand because it is on pylons on the beach. Now married with 3 children we have continued to add our rental offerings . Due to the success of the original Sticks in the Sand, We now have 4 townhomes to rent! We have studio 1,2,3 bedroom units and continue to hope to provide our homes for families to enjoy..

The units are close to everything, walking distance to a bar/restaurant and directly on the beach with private ownership all the way to the water. . The townhome can be rented 3 ways, a 2 bedroom (Listing #586496) , Studio Unit (Listing #586493) or if you need more space you can rent it as a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath unit by renting them both. So it was perfect to maintain all my renters in one location

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Centrally located between Destin, Baytown and Sandestin. I provide everything you need from child toys, chairs and your own piece of private beach to enjoy. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off in and two flat panels LCD tv's to relax indoors. Perfect for a couples getaway, a small family or group of friends. Sleep where you can hear the waves and not see the cars!
