Great stay! Rita and Jim were very welcoming and to us and our dog. There were dog treats and a new waiting for him when we arrived :) Kennebunk was a great central location for all of our southern Maine adventures during our time there.

Rita and Jim were incredibly kind and thoughtful hosts. From the moment we arrived, everything was set up to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay. Being able to bring our pups was such a gift; they loved the early morning beach walks, the long walks through Kennebunk on Summer Street, and simply being part of our getaway.The cottage itself is charming and cozy, thoughtfully stocked with everything needed to feel right at home. Rita thinks of everything! A truly relaxing and memorable experience for all of us!

Easy check in Rita and Jim showed us to the apartment. Rita had treats and toys for our dog and bowls for food and water. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Rita has worked in hospitality in the past and you could definitely tell with the way the towels were folded and the triangle fold on the toilet paper. It was a great experience the place had everything was quiet but close to everything. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance. The bed was very comfortable and spacious as well.

Oodles of Charm

We stayed at this cozy cottage in Kennebunk for four days and absolutely loved it. The home itself is full of charm — very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The lofted bedroom was especially lovely, and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on.One of our favorite features was the view of the river, which you can enjoy right from the balcony off the bedroom — a perfect spot for morning coffee or winding down in the evening.The hosts were wonderful — kind, responsive, and welcoming without being intrusive. They even left a new toy for our dog, which was such a sweet and personal touch.All in all, it was a peaceful, relaxing stay in a beautiful spot, and we’d absolutely come back. Highly recommend this gem!

Our stay was fantastic! The cottage was clean, tidy, delightfully decorated and well stocked beyond our expectations. Rita and Jim were very welcoming and helpful with our navigation of the area. Extras that made our stay especially pleasant were a beach parking pass and a grill for our meal preparation.

All around GREAT!

Rita and Jim have a wonderful place, so welcoming and convenient too. From our welcome notes, to dog treats, offers to drop us at the beach, bubbles abs a sweet note for our daughter, to yummy cheese and snacks, we felt at home immediately! The guesthouse had all that we could need, laundry, and the most comfortable bed ever! We’ll definitely be back whenever in the area! Thank you!!

Cute, comfy, & dog friendly

Rita & Jim go above and beyond to make sure your stay is better than you expect. My family of 3 with an 11 year old boy + our yellow lab had enough space. Five Star Stay

My husband, dog, and I stayed in Maine for a week and Rita and Jim were the perfect hosts. The cute little guest house was clean, cozy, and filled with all the essentials we could have needed, AND MORE. The guest house is attached to the main house by a courtyard but allowed for enough privacy for us to come and go as we pleased, or chit chat and ask for recommendations in the area. The beach pass was awesome to have, it made things so easy to drive the few miles to the Kennebunk beaches. And although we brought towels/etc for our dog, they also had those for our use. I can't say enough how pleasant our stay was, thank you so much!!!

Our Amazing Stay in Kennebunk, Maine

Awesome! Jim +Rita are The Best -host + hostess. The place we stayed at was A+ clean, cozy, loved the little courtyard! They go above and beyond to make one's visit the best! Supplied needs that we didn't even have to ask for! We were made to feel very welcome and even our exit was nice. Love that they allow dogs.. It's really nice to feel at home. We really hope to go back again someday.

Relaxing and convenient

Rita and Jim created a beautiful property that is welcoming at every turn. Being able to bring the family dog is a great bonus and Zoe was welcomed with her own amenities. Every detail was taken care of and we have no doubts that we will return again!!

Phenomenal hosts and accommodations!

Rita and her family were incredible hosts, start to finish. No detail was left out, and they went the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. We truly enjoyed getting to know them. Their cottage is gorgeous, peaceful, and a true retreat. Not to mention, the location is ideal. We didn't want to leave! We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect Maine escape.

Beyond excellent!!!

Pictures of this little gem don’t do it justice! It’s adorable, comfortable, really beautiful! For me it was peaceful and restorative. The owners have supplied everything (and more) that you could ever need or want! I can’t wait to go back! And Kennebunk is a lovely place to spend some time! I’d give it an A++++!

Close to everything you want in Kennebunkport. This charming cottage has everything you need or want. A stones throw from The Landing, great for coffee and the best cornbread muffins made daily!

Your home away from home

Maine is just glorious! And Kennebunk has been our summer home for over 20 years . . . Summer Street is a very special place - with so many beautiful historic homes - and we are in the historic Kennebunk Landing area of Summer Street - where sea-faring boats were built from 1766 to 1867 on the Kennebunk River that runs behind our home.

Great Location - logistically . . . I 95 is about 3 miles, US 1 is less than that. Easy driving to many neat areas in Maine.
