Aqua Cottage is a classic 1950’s Florida beachside community cottage home with a cool retro Florida feel (terrazzo floors and funky 1950’s color bathroom tiles), which has been updated and refreshed with stylish and comfortable modern touches to create a cozy vintage-meets-modern, east-meets-west, beachy vibe. It is the closest home to the beautiful tropical lifeguarded white sand beaches and sparkling waters at Vero Beach's acclaimed South Beach Park!

The home is fun for family members of all ages and generations. While the home is certainly no mansion, two story Aqua Cottage offers several good size spaces for everyone to gather together to eat, drink or play, and separate indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy.

Aqua Cottage has 3 bedrooms (1 King Ensuite upstairs, 1 King Bedroom and 1 Double Twin with Trundle Bedroom downstairs), 2 full bathrooms, several good size living and dining spaces, and full size appliances in the kitchen. The home is literally the closest home to South Beach Park, which offers easy beach access just steps from the front door. Take the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach cart provided at Aqua Cottage, walk across the street and onto the boardwalk through the mangroves to the beautiful white sand beaches at South Beach Park!

Want to be sporty, but don't want to leave your little slice of paradise at Aqua Cottage? Try your hand at surfing or body boarding on the ocean just steps from the house, throw the frisbee on the beach, or just take it easy playing corn hole or other games at home.

Vero Beach's vibrant cultural scene includes art galleries, exhibits, comedy and Broadway-quality performances at the Riverside Theatre. Nearby museums like the Navy SEAL Museum and Mel Fisher's Treasure Museum highlight the region's history. The Vero Beach Museum of Art showcases contemporary art and offers educational programs. Numerous cultural festivals celebrate music, food, and traditions, adding vibrancy to the area.

Aqua Cottage itself showcases a number of pieces of Chinese folk art which have been incorporated into its design, furniture and furnishings. Look carefully and you will notice beautifully detailed carvings and paintings throughout the house, each of which must have taken the talented Chinese artisans of years-gone-by a great deal of time and effort to create. Don't worry, the house is kid and pet friendly!

Vero Beach boasts a range of excellent parks for outdoor enjoyment. South Beach, next to Aqua Cottage, has spectacular white sand beaches, a lifeguard station, volleyball nets, and children's play equipment.

All but one of the following parks are located nearby Aqua Cottage on the barrier island: Riverside Park offers huge green spaces, picnic areas, and a fishing pier along the Indian River Lagoon. Jaycee Park offers waterfront views and a boardwalk for relaxation. Let your dogs run wild at nearby Seaview Dog Park. Round Island Riverside Park, south of Aqua Cottage on beautiful coastal highway A1A, is a notable destination for nature enthusiasts. It has a boat ramp and is great for paddleboarding, kayak eco-tours and manatee watching off the boardwalks. Just a few minutes' walk from Round Island Park, the Oyster Bar Marsh Conservation Area is great for hiking through the mangroves. McKee Botanical Garden, on the mainland, showcases lush landscapes and exotic plants.

Vero Beach provides easy access to exciting day trip destinations. Visit the Kennedy Space Center for a fascinating space exploration experience. Orlando's theme parks, including Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World Orlando and LegoLand Florida Resort, offer family fun. It is located on the barrier islands, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Indian River Intercoastal Waterway to the west. The home is in a tranquil old Florida seaside neighborhood next to South Beach Park, and within a short walking distance of a great pizza shop and a number of excellent restaurants. Also quite close to wonderful "Old Vero" beachside shops and restaurants on Ocean Blvd., close to Beachland. Several bridges provide convenient access to nearby mainland grocery and big box shopping.

LOGGERHEAD, GREEN and LEATHERBACK, OH MY!

Vero Beach is one of the most important sea turtle nesting sites in North America. The beaches near Aqua Cottage are popular nesting sites for several species of sea turtles, including loggerhead, green and leatherback.

There are steps that you can take to help us protect these magnificent creatures. During Turtle Nesting Season (March 1st to October 31st): never approach nesting or hatching turtles, never walk on or disturb turtle nests (they look like sand mounds and are often taped off and labeled with orange tape), and use only red light flashlights if walking on the beach at night.

SPACE EXPLORATION

SpaceX and NASA rocket launches are often visible from the beach or yard at Aqua Cottage. Check calendars for launch dates and times.

Please respect our tranquil community - weddings, parties or other events are never permitted at Aqua Cottage. Please do not park more than 4 cars at the home, and please do not play loud outdoor amplified music. Smoking is not permitted in the home. The home is dog friendly (additional fee per dog).
