This stunning house has it all, with five spacious bedrooms, four and half baths, central air/radiant heat, stone field patio with mountain views, game room, heated garage with ski prep area and much more. The house is bright, open and spacious with lots of natural light. This beautiful home has all you will desire and more for your vacation.

The kitchen has top of the line appliances with granite counter tops and a large pantry. There is plenty of seating for entertaining at the dining room table and the main level has hardwood floors throughout.

The master bedroom is located on the main level with a luxurious bathroom. The other four bedrooms are on the second level two of which have queen beds and the other two bedrooms have twin beds. There are two full baths to share between the four bedrooms There is a very comfortable lounge space as you enter the second level. There is a game room with a ping pong table, sectional couch with flat screen TV and full bath on the upper level accessed from a second stairway from the very comfortable main floor living room which has ample seating space around a stone gas fireplace.

The house has two protected patio/porches for outdoor dining with one outdoor barbecue, ensuring there will always be a warm sunny spot to enjoy the outdoors.

The community property has a private pond with a sandy beach for fishing and swimming. There are 70+ acres of private woodlands with hiking and biking. You are also a short distance to the Trapp Family Lodge & Cotton Brook for mountain biking and cross country skiing trails. Less than 20 minute drive to the mountain. Very short walk to cafe and wine store. If you want to go into town it is an easy walk of about 1 1/2 miles.

This is an upscale community located for easy access to the highway/interstate on the southern side of Stowe. The property is private and secluded within the community.

Super fun holiday vacation

We spent the week between Christmas and New Years here. The house is gorgeous. Very comfortable, very well equipped and spacious. Great location to the mountain and town.

This is the house. We’ve stayed in dozens and it doesn’t get any better. There is so much common space; everyone has a reading nook. The patio and backyard are wonderful too. The owners leave you everything you need, especially if you cook. We’ll go back as often as we can. Thank you, hosts!

Great place for a family get together

A beautifully furnished and decorated home that felt welcoming and warm. Well stocked and fun, down to the puzzle and ping pong table in the game room. We swam in the river daily -just a two minute walk from the house. This house is located in a great area with friendly neighbors. We enjoyed nightly sunsets from the back patio and the kids enjoyed running on the expansive lawn. The new mini splits were great for the hot July weather. Nancy was very responsive and easy to connect with.

Comfortable

First, the hosts were responsive and gracious. We had an unusual number of questions during the week and they never seemed bothered by them.The house itself was comfortable for a large group which spent most of the vacation hanging out together at the house.The bedrooms were comfortably sized and most were separate from the living areas for quiet sleeping. The kitchen had plenty of room for a bunch of us to cook at once and there was plenty of cookware to make ourselves a big breakfast buffet. We really appreciated a/c in all the rooms during a heat wave, and being able to open the windows and the sliders when the heat broke. Almost all the lights had dimmers.

great location and home in Stowe

This home makes for the perfect getaway in Stowe. You will really feel as though you are in your own home. There is plenty of space in the living areas for all, the additional TV/game room upstairs was a great place for our teenage children. The kitchen has more than you could need in order to feel as though you are in your own home. The large dining table and outdoor patio are great as well. The proximity to town and the mountain makes this home the perfect. The owners are very responsive and helpful.

Mountain view home away from home

We had such an amazing relaxing weekend. Nancy and Allan were such great hosts and very responsive. The house is beautiful; we loved cooking together as a family in the gorgeous kitchen with the beautiful green mountain view just through the window. We ate most of our dinners outside on the large patio watching the sun set. We also loved the gas fireplace inside and made full use of the ping pong table in the game room. Overall we loved the house, thank you Nancy and Allan for your hospitality. P.S. If you get there first pick the master bedroom on the first floor - it has a gorgeous bathroom and shower!

A slice of heaven in northern Vermont!

I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful home! Our family just wrapped up our vacation at this amazing home- it has everything going for it- a truly beautiful home, incredibly maintained by the owners (who are terrific and very responsive and clearly they take incredible care of their home), with all the amenities you hope to find while renting a home, lots of space inside and outside, fantastic mountain views, and close location to town and nearby trails. We could not have hoped for a nicer spot to land for our summer getaway. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home and the owners- truly a find!

Amazing vacation at a beautiful home in a fabulous location

We loved our stay in this beautiful home.. Allan and Nancy are unbelievable hosts who think through every detail-- communication was seamless before, during and after our stay. The house was meticulously clean and organized, yet also warm and very welcoming. The location is wonderful; adjacent to a really fun river for the kids to play/tube in and a lovely trail system for morning runs and brief hikes with your dog. And the sunset views from the back porch-- breathless! The two weeks flew by for all of us and we hope to visit again soon.

Our lucky day and then some!

My husband and I like to leave the South Carolina heat and humidity in August and head north to Stowe. It’s always a gamble to rent something you can only see on the internet, but this year we hit the jackpot, to say the least! It was such a winner that we have already booked it for August 2020. Our two children/spouses and two grandchildren visit at some time during August, so much of what we look for in a property has to do with their visit. I won’t repeat what all the other reviews have said because we totally agree and can find no faults. However, I will say it was a great space (inside and out) for all ages. Because of the covered part of the rear patio we ate all meals outside and at other times could relax while little ones burned off energy in the wonderful green space. I will also add the It is a beautiful neighborhood with lovely neighbors. Finally, Allan and Nancy are great hosts who take this seriously. They have prepared their property with an eye at offering a top-notch experience for the renter and hats off to them for all the preparation, including the details they share about the house and Stowe and the very discreet message that they value your business and hope you will treat the property with love and care. The only other thing I can add is that this home has truly spoiled us for any other Stowe property!

Perfect Vermont Home

We loved this spacious and well appointed home with plenty of room to spread out (both inside and out) for our family group. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil, pot and pan, and serving piece imaginable. Great outside deck/patio with grill and outdoor seating, large lawn, and beautiful views of the mountains. Quiet neighborhood with options for running/walking/mountain biking without traffic. Easy drive to town or the shops/restaurants on Mountain Road. The owners were lovely to deal with and very communicative and helpful. We will definitely return to this property when we visit Stowe again!

Wonderful President's Day Ski Vacation

Nancy and Allan's home was a fantastic home base for our 3 families to gather for a short ski vacation. We had 6 adults, 4 teenagers, and a baby, and the house gave us ample room to gather and roam after our ski outings. We particularly enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, where we made breakfast each morning and one dinner feast for the whole crew. There were plenty of spices and kitchenware for us to take of advantage of, and even little treats (chocolates, gummies, Prosecco) that our hosts provided to make the vacation the whole package down to the last touch. We enjoyed having at least a bathroom each for each family; no waiting lines! We also enjoyed several hours in the game room playing ping pong, board games, and TV watching on the spacious wraparound couch. Nancy and Allan are very responsive hosts and did not leave us hanging with any questions unanswered. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Superlative location; stunning exterior and interior; very kind owners

When I first saw the property on VRBO, my wife, son and I fell in love with the photographs of the exterior and interior of the house. Imagine our surprise when we saw the house in person, and loved it even more than what we had seen in the photographs! Location: The house is beautifully located at the top of a large opening from which we could see the mountains, the most beautiful sunsets and the midnight mist clearing through the mountains as the sun rose. It inspired me enough to buy paints and start painting again after twenty years! Locationally, it is next to a beautiful stream where my son and I spent several afternoons just sitting and getting wet. It's right off Moscow Road, so it's right between the main thoroughfares of Stowe. All convenience stores are within a ten minute driving distance, and the neighbors are extremely friendly. Most importantly, we felt safe and welcome there. Exteriors: The house is built tastefully, and with a lot of practical wisdom by an architect who is passionate about construction. He took his time to build the house but you can see that it's a product of love for him. From the edgy two tone house, to the way the water flows when it rains, off the rooftop, to the parking driveway, and to the sitouts in the front and in the back, everything is done with a strong, innate, and aesthetic sense of Vermont. Interiors: I can safely say that everything in the house is top notch. From the quality of the wood in the roof, to the window sills, to the bathtub, showers, dining table, multiple chairs and sitting areas, the beds in all the bedrooms, the walk-in closets in the master bedroom, the air-conditioning setup, the blinds on the windows, and the accoutrements on the window sills, the house spells, "taste." Also, the grille was a great add-on along with the owners' collection of utentils in a fully-stocked kitchen and pantry - you know that you were in a gourmet's home. Services and others: The gardening was done on time, and everything was well managed. The cleaners were easily available to come during the week if we needed any extra help. The garage was also spacious to fit in two large cars. The best part is that the owners are very helpful, responsive and caring. If there is a house that we could consider living in again in Vermont, this would be it. I wish the owners all our thanks for making this one of the most memorable summers we have had by sharing their beautiful home with us.

WOW!!

The photos do not do this home justice. It's simply stunning. We just returned from a long weekend at their home. Six adults and one teenager. The house was perfect. Open floor plan, chef's kitchen, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, the garage is even heated!!. The owner's are fantastic and return emails, and phone calls immediately. They have gone out of their way to make sure every detail is taken care of. Their ski rental recommendation saved us hundreds of dollars! We use homeAway at least once a year and this by far is one of the best rental experiences we have ever had. I can't say enough about the home and the owner's. If you are heading to the Stowe area, this home should be on the top of your list!

Beautiful and Comfortable Luxury Property

We rented this house with another family. There were 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The house accommodated us perfectly - with plenty of inside and outside space to spread out. The Kitchen is very large and is fully stocked with all the supplies you would possibly need. The house is beautifully furnished and is very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the flagstone patio and admiring the view. Our kids loved walking the short distance to the river to hang out in the water. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a high-end and spacious house in a beautiful setting.

Exquisite Stowe Ski Rental

I just spent a long weekend at this exquisite home with my wife, teenaged son and four of his friends. This is a magnificent home. It is large, comfortable, and incredibly well designed and built. There is a gourmet kitchen and a spacious dining table for foodies, and also plenty of room for family and friends to either congregate or retreat for some R&R. While it is not "ski on/ski off," it is well located in a small, charming development, convenient to town and to the mountain. The home has just about everything, is well appointed and absolutely SPOTLESS. The owners (Allan and Nancy) are charming, accessible, responsive and gracious hosts. Having stayed at several different places in Stove over the years, I can honestly say that this is the best. While it is not "inexpensive," you certainly get what you pay for. We are all looking forward to our next visit.

What an incredible experience!!!!

My family rented this home for the month of August and it was just amazing. Them home is no where near your typical rental home. It is stunning inside and out. There is so much room and lives so well. My favorite spot was the stone patio out back and watching the sunsets over the mountains. Elaine and Allan helped make the entire month a truly great experience, ThankYou!! See you Next Year

Wonderful vacation home

Three generations of my family found room for all their activities in this well-located, new, spacious, beautifully designed and impeccably maintained home near Stowe's manifold offerings: road and mountain biking, hiking, swimming and fishing are practically at the doorstep, and the morning walk to the Village along the river is a wonderful way to start one's day. The kitchen is a delight, the options for entertaining are plentiful, the house is easy to maintain, and there's plenty of room and privacy for all.
