Our family homeplace will provide you a great vacation escape. Bring your boat and dock it on the beautiful, clean Satilla River. Swim in the heated pool or fish in the pond. You can even learn pickleball or play tennis on your own private court. Home sleeps ten--so it's the perfect place for a family gathering!

Woodbine is a small Southern coastal Georgia town within an easy drive to Brunswick, GA, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Amelia Island, FL to the south. There's a cafe uptown that serves lunch on weekdays, a local hangout called Captain Stan's that has pretty good food, and a grocery store to meet your needs. The big city of Jacksonville is 45 minutes away, and the airport there is even closer. The Okefenokee Swamp provides a fascinating view of raw nature (alligators!) and is only 45 minutes away in Charlton County.

This home is ideal for those who want peace and serenity with river access.

Our outdoors campfire area will prove fun on cooler evenings. Roast weenies and marshmallows, sit around the fire, and swap stories. Create memories at Cypress Point!

This is my favorite vacation property to visit. I’ve been coming here for several years.The house is always welcoming, the home is spotless, the amenities are outstanding, and the location couldn’t be improved on! I especially appreciate the opportunity to use the heated pool. It’s important to me for health reasons, and I’m very grateful that it’s made available.

Slice of south Ga heaven! This property and home has so much charm and everything you need for a relaxing and tranquil vacation. The house is super clean, beds are comfortable, the kitchen is stocked, plenty of linens, internet is good for streaming and remote work, and the home is perfect for entertaining or big families. We spent a great deal on the dock, riding bikes, riding the golf cart, playing tennis, fishing, bird watching, and in the pool. Joel is a gracious and responsive host. He went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us to enjoy our stay. Captain Stan’s and Steffen’s restaurants are a must. We visited St. Simons Island too. Having grown up in Camden County, Joel’s property captures the best of this area.

Folks, this was an incredible week for us at Joel’s wonderful VRBO home. Yes, the pool is private and enclosed with a screen lanai to keep the pests out. There is a really good space inside the lanai to sit in a covered patio with a grill and nice dining set. The river was a lot of fun and the water might be like glass one moment and have a sting current on another. There is a Jon boat and oars, but you might need a little bit of muscle to get it in and out of the river if you like. I bought a few used kayaks for less than 100 each to bring and that worked out perfect for us.The frogs, peepers and owls can be heard loud and clear from the surrounding wildlife areas. Yes, the tennis court/pickleball court is right there as well. My daughter and her dog had one room, my son had one room, my other son and daughter-in-law had the bedroom that opens to a super sweet solarium/ sunroom that has shared access to the master bedroom my wife and I used (private bath ).Joel has kept his property updated and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in it. His house is on site, but it’s probably further away from the rental property than you’d imagine. He has a really sweet ol girl of a hound dog that got along with our husky mix and my son’s ridgeback mix quite well… she just mosies around keeping a curious eye on who’s visiting her at that moment. We did a little fishing, and saw a gaitor from a distance. No other critters except for the usual geckos and bright green tree frogs.

Very relaxing

Very nice property, took our boat out on the river caught a few catfish but mostly spent our time relaxing in the pool. Beds were extremely comfortable, more than enough room for our party of 8. Great stay

Joel is a wonderful host. This place is a beautiful private serene oasis in a quiet little town. We loved the pool, the dock on the river, and tennis courts! Driving the golf cart and riding bikes to the local restaurant was fun too. We can't wait to come back next year!

We stayed for two weeks. Very private and quiet place to stay. Right on the river and a dock for fishing. Children loved the tennis court. Also used golf cart to ride around trails.

Relaxing vacation in a beautiful home with lots of space with a swimming pool, lake, and a huge property to explore. Joel is a fantastic host and always available for information or assistance. Highly recommend this property.

This is the second time my family has gone to this house and it is wonderful time for family The fact that we had the pool at any time we wanted to it was just for us and I felt like I was in my own home it felt so nice being there and the host is so kind!!!!

Property is beautiful in quiet small town. Kids went from fishing, to pickle ball, to swimming and riding bikes! The house is big and roomy for everyone to spread out. We visited beach and state park and beautiful towns close by. The owner was wonderful and immediately answered questions and helped when we asked questions. We saw alligators and that was exciting!

Another pleasant stay

A short stay to enjoy the pool and the property. In addition to a very nice house, with all the comforts and amenities, the grounds include historic mossy cypress trees and are immaculately maintained - beyond any similar property I have stayed at. I look forward to returning!

Great place to stay

Beautiful area. The house was spacious, and clean and the beds were as comfortable as I have ever been in. The owner was great to work with. If you like a beautiful, quiet place this would be it. There is everything from pickleball courts, to a nice fishing dock, and bikes and a golf cart to explore the area.

Peaceful Girls Crafting Getaway

We were two sisters and a SIL staying for a restful long weekend away to relax, have fun and do some crafting. This beautiful property in an idealic setting, on the waterfront was perfect. It was secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful, but not so far away from civilization that you had to come completely prepared! Joel, the host, was very responsive, checked on us once via text to see if we needed anything and to let us know to feel free to reach out if needed. He even left us oranges from the trees on the property! We would definitely stay in this comfortable, well-kept, as advertised home again and highly recommend it to others, especially those with families!!! The home was built to accommodate and keep many more than just the three of us entertained and comfortable. Thank,s Jeol!

Henry Williams, Sr. and his wife Bebe built their home--Cypress Point--outside of Woodbine, GA in 1959. Current owners are brothers Joel and Henry Williams. The brothers participated in land-clearing, pond-digging, and some brick cleaning during the building. Bricks for the house came from the historic Oglethorpe Hotel in Brunswick. It's a family joke that Henry, Sr. was a hard taskmaster, paying the boys 'a penny a brick' for knocking the old mortar off the bricks. In reality, the boys cleaned very few bricks, but the story persists. Joel and Henry sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay at Cypress Point with all its Southern charm and beauty!

We've turned this property into a VRBO because we grew up here and love the land. We want our grandchildren to have the fun we had growing up. The opportunities are endless! Fish in the pond, ski in the river, play pickleball or tennis on your own private court, swim in the heated pool, learn to paddle a john-boat, roast marshmallows over the fire pit, hop on the golf cart for a town tour, ride the bikes around Woodbine or on the beautiful trail, or go to see one of our local sights: the Okefenokee Swamp, Cumberland Island National Seashore, historic St. Marys, Amelia beaches, quaint Fernandina, picturesque St. Simons Island, or the beaches and historic millionaires' cottages on Jekyll Island.
