Enjoy the beauty and splendor of the Rocky Mountains from this charming cabin at the foot of Mount Meeker. Sleeps 2-4 in 1 bedroom plus loft for adults or children old enough to safely climb the ladder. Enjoy the hummingbirds and mountain air from the covered porch, hammock chair or around the fire pit with the stunning views of Mount Meeker and Twin Sisters. Hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or just stroll through the meadows of the national forest directly from the cabin. Cozy up indoors with a fire in the wood-burning stove and music on the Bluetooth speakers, play a game of chess or work a jigsaw puzzle. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stovetop, microwave, dishes and cooking utensils. There is Wifi/Internet for those who need to stay connected, satellite TV, DVD player and a land-line with answering machine for others to reach you. Take a 15 minute drive north when you're in the mood for shopping, golfing or simply being a tourist in the charming mountain town of Estes Park. Or a 5 minute drive south for a meal at the Rock Creek Tavern and Pizzeria or a casual brunch at the Meadow Mountain Cafe. Back at the Bluebell, lovely views from every window reveal an occasional passing elk, deer or moose. This is truly a place to relax and unwind in Rocky Mountain splendor.

Debby and Bernie are excellent hosts. They met us at the property and went through everything carefully with us to ensure we had a good time. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness throughout our stay. The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed walks into RMNP from our doorstep, and easy access to Wild Basin, Long's Peak and Lily Lake trails. We had a fantastic stay.

Cabin is very private and scenery is beautiful. Couch and rocking chair for seating leave room for improvement- not comfortable. Well supplied with needed items and extras. However, steps up to cabin are difficult for older or mobility challenged. Should be mentioned in listing. Heat and cooling is good. Road to cabin is very rough and not graded. Many deep potholes and large rocky. Overall ok, just need some comfort improvements inside and railing on steps.

I stayed here for a couple weeks in August and it was great. Debby and Bernie are friendly and responsive hosts. The photos represent the place well. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. I'm still not sure how they fit so many amenities in there. The location has a nice remote feel to it with plenty of trees, outdoor sitting areas, and mountain views in several directions. The hummingbirds were very active and surprisingly fun to watch while relaxing on the porch. The Wild Basin, Long's Peak, Lily Lake, and Twin Sisters trailheads are just minutes away. Estes Park and the main entrance to RMNP are 25 or so minutes away, so it's easy to head into town when you're in the mood. I'd definitely be happy to stay here again.

You certainly don't need to worry about anything you may have forgotten. Need to borrow some trekking poles? Need a headlamp or two to use for evening bikes? How about a cheese grater or blender? All this and more, very well labeled and organized. The check in came with a very thorough run through of the property with the host. Our only notes of caution: The bathroom is not very comfortable for anybody over 4 feet tall. The mattresses and living room seating could use an update.All of this should be balanced by a wonderful host and absolutely fantastic location. Hiking right into RMNP feom the cabin was a highlight.

The downside of a 1940’s mountain cabin is that we are limited by the existing structure and ceiling heights. That said, we are always looking for ways to make guests’ stay more comfortable. We had a lovely stay in the Bluebell! It is a cozy cabin in a secluded area. Everything in the cabin was clean and well organized. We were also lucky enough to meet the hosts; great people!!

My wife and i enjoyed our stay here so much that we came back for another visit this year. As visitors to the craziness that is RMNP and Estes Park, it was so comforting to know we could return to the solitude of the Bluebell. This place is truely special. The discription of the cabin, its location, and the reviews and photos are all accurate. You can book with Debby and Bernie knowing you've made a great choice.

Refuge from the busy park.

Everything that reviewers have said is true. My wife and I loved our 10 night stay this past September. The cabin's location allowed us to appreciate the quiet of the mountains that we were after. Debby and Bernie were great hosts, meeting us upon arrivaland answering all our questions. Believe the reviews, this is a special place!

Bluebird Bliss

Debby and Bernie are fantastic hosts! The charming cabin is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is well stocked and well labeled with everything you could possibly need. Debby took great care to get us checked in and made sure everything was in order. We hope to stay again in the future!

Wonderful base for your adventures.

The Bluebell cabin has everything you need for your stay in the mountains. The hosts Debby and Bernie thought of anything you might need during your vacation and provide the items you might have forgotten to bring and come in handy. Thank you both for being so dog friendly. The walks around the house are fabulous and our furbaby loved them. We enjoyed the nearby hikes, Estes and the well working internet! Hope to be back!

2nd Stay

I loved this place the first time I stayed that I had to get specifically this cabin again for my honeymoon. The location is wonderful, we took hikes right from there, and sitting in the yard is fantastic too. Very quiet, peaceful area with lovely scenery. It's in a great location to go to many wonderful sights. we went to places like Lily Lake, Chapel on the Rock, Estes Park, RMNP, Bear Lake, and more. For a further drive we went places like Pikes Peek, Garden of the Gods, Alpine Visitors Center, and more. It's a great place to get a real feel for forest and mountains.

Amazing cabin, great experience

Debby & Bernie were very accommodating when we arrived early. Great communication. We stayed at Bluebell cabin 9/17/23 through 9/25/23. The cabin is so cozy, clean and extremely well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful views from every direction and coffee on the front porch in the morning. The wood stove was awesome in the evenings. We hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Debby and Bernie for a wonderful experience. Take care, Linda and Denny

Perfect

This is a perfect location to reaching many amazing places in RMNP and more. It's not a cabin where you are sandwiched in near multiple other people. There is a lovely view of Mt Meeker, forest and more. You're in the forest, so you do have to be alert to wildlife. I have seen moose right from the porch. It's a quiet area, and I love it. I've stayed there three times now.

Absolutely Amazing

This was one of our best stays in Colorado. This cute little cabin in the secluded mountains was absolutely amazing! We only left a couple of times because everything you would need or want was right here. We did eat at Rock Creek Tavern (the best pizza ever) twice. The views were awesome, the cabin was so clean and perfectly organized. We saw a bear our first full day, a momma moose and her calf the second and third days, lots of hummingbirds and other birds. The hosts, Debby and Bernie are wonderful people. We really enjoyed getting to know them and learning about the area from them. We loved this place so much we immediately rebooked for a fall trip. We are counting down the days to return. ❤️❤️

Serenity in Paradise

Another awesome stay at the BlueBell. We love the cabin and the serenity offered by its location. The first night we heard a Mountain Lion out back behind the cabin. Days later while hiking behind the cabin and into Rocky Mountain National Park, we saw Mountain Lion tracks in the soft dirt of the trail. We also got to see a large Bull Moose very close. I had gone out to my truck to get a case of water and when I turned around to cross the road, the Moose was slowly walking across the road about 20 feet from me. Another evening Teri heard Elk bugling in the distance. We had lots of Birds coming to our feeders – 3 species of Nuthatches, 2 species of Chickadees, Stellar’s Jays, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, many Common Ravens and a Hawk. We prefer to stay out of Estes Park (Too touristy), but had a few great meals in Allenspark at the Meadow Mountain Café and the Rock Creek Tavern & Pizzeria. The coffee was great at Meadow Mountain Café, I had never had it with a pinch of cinnamon in it before that. We checked another item off of our bucket list, we got to drive Old Fall River Road on the last day that it was open for the season. An awesome experience plus saw some great scenery and wildlife. Thanks you for your hospitality and letting us stay at Blue Bell. A very nice, well stocked, cabin in a very serene area in the shadow of Mount Meeker. We enjoyed the cookies that you had ready for us on our arrival. This was our second stay at the Rocky Mountain BlueBell and hope to be back.

Location, location, location

We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end (full week, my husband & me) at the Bluebell Cabin. We were warmly greeted by Debby who gave us a thorough orientation to the cabin. She had also sent us personalized directions from the Denver Airport with a stop at a grocery store in Longmont. The cabin is as described. Very clean. Mix of new & older. Everything we needed & then some. The property now has 2 of its own parking spaces (see previous reviews) but it was closer to park at hosts’ cabin across the road. Mostly one open room (curtain to queen bed and dresser) & an open loft above that sleeps three (we didn’t use; would need to come down ladder to bathroom). Nice BIG counter in bathroom. Small shower. The setting was AMAZING. We were so happy to be away from any crowded areas. We loved the front porch, and that we could hike from the cabin directly into the national park and national forest. Beautiful view from living room & picnic table out back. Upon learning of our early evening departure time Debby volunteered to allow us to check out later as she didn’t have anyone coming in until the next day. We had a (minor) question about the heat our first evening and texted Debby & she called us right back. No other questions, no issues. Just a few miles to the Wild Basin entrance to RMNP. 15-20 minutes to Estes Park. About 20 minutes to RMNP Visitor Center. Be sure and check out the requirements for timed entry. Would stay again if return to RMNP

Cozy Cabin

Debby and Bernie were there to meet us at check in. We were given a thorough tour of the cabin and surrounding property. The cabin was supplied with everything we needed and more, all very organized. We enjoyed the hummingbirds daily visits, relaxing on the nice covered front porch and hiking that was so close by. One afternoon we were blessed with a beautiful double rainbow from the front porch. The evenings were so quiet and the sky was filled with twinkling stars. This cabin is located close to the historic stone chapel and several entries into Rocky Mountain National Park.as well as Estes Park. If we are in the area again, we would love to come back to the cozy Bluebell cabin.

Amazing place with amazing owners!

We had a wonderful stay! The place is small, but perfect for our family. The cabin was super clean and had everything you could possibly need. The owners were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay, including great hiking and restaurant recommendations. The cabin was close to Estes Park, but also felt like we had the mountains to ourselves.

Cozy Mountain Cabin!

Debby and Bernie were excellent hosts! This is a super cute cabin near the end of a quiet dirt road leading toward the eastern base of Mt Meeker which presides in its (almost) 14,000-foot grandeur over the scene. The cabin is neat and clean and incredibly well stocked with everything you could need—and may have forgotten to bring—for your stay. Sleeping in the cozy, queen-sized cubby and waking up to a sun-soaked view of Mt Meeker was particularly satisfying and delightful. Hiking trails to Lookout Mountain and Horsetooth Peak (also visible from the cabin) and Wild Basin begin a quarter mile up the road and the Long’s Peak, Wild Basin, and Twin Sisters entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park are just a few minutes away by car. We hope to visit again!

My brother and I spent so many of our happy childhood days and nights in this wonderful cabin. As adults, we've created new memories here with our own spouses and families. While we still love being here, our lives are busy enough now that there are too many weeks that it isn't being used, which is why we decided to share it with others looking for the peaceful serenity of the surrounding mountains.
