The Cottage sleeps 4 (2 adults, 2 kids).
Offers a full kitchen; oven, dishwasher, fridge and utensils, with a breakfast bar. A comfortable Living room offers seating & leads out to the relaxing patio area.

The outdoor patio offers Casual Seating around a fire pit and a separate Dining Table, Barbecue grill, Sun beds and plenty of room for relaxing.

Spacious Bathroom with walk-in shower.
It has Air Conditioning/Heat.
The main bedroom offers a Queen-size bed and wardrobe.
A separate niche bedroom has Bunk beds for 2 kids.
Detached laundry room; complete with washer, dryer, iron & board.
Also provides: Beach chairs & umbrella, beach towels.
Outdoor shower to rinse off golden sand.
**We do not allow Pets indoor or outdoor**

Communication with host was exceptional and property was excellent for beach and downtown Carlsbad walk access.It was an amazing property set up for great family time. Not a ton of square footage but the layout is maximized to offset that, we had 4 of us(2 teens) and had plenty of room. Area and property had a great vibe.We will absolutely be back.

STOP!!!! don't look anywhere else unless you're not looking for the perfect location, perfect place and amazing hosts. 2 blocks from everything and all the great vibes of Carlsbad. Julie and Ian accommodated our every request with a smile. We even got to spend some time with them and chatted like old friends. Can't wait to get back as this will be our go to in Carlsbad.

It's a small indoor space but still functional. Doesn't matter though because the outdoor patio and location to the beach is why you rent a place like this.

Cozy Cottage

Julie's response time to emails was awesome. The cottage was perfect and the outdoors space was equally great. I would highly recommend the cottage and we plan on staying there on our next trip to California. The cottage has everything you need. And as advertised, it is only two blocks to the beach. Items for the beach are available. Parking is right in front of the cottage. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Julie!

Another Magical Week

We stay here yearly and love our stay everytime! This is our home away from home. It is just perfect! The cottage is perfect for our family of four. It is so wonderful to show up and they have all the beach stuff we might need already there. The outdoor shower makes it so easy after a day at the beach and the water pressure in the bathroom is so great! The covered patio is my favorite part. We spent so much time just enjoying our evenings together playing games by the fire. The hosts are so very nice and responsive. We will be back again soon!

Peaceful Coastal Getaway Right by the Beach

The host was helpful and available which made our stay even better. The cottage was well kept and perfect for a short stay. All the supplies you could need were available. The patio and decor was very relaxing and made our trip to Carlsbad better!

Weekend birthday trip!

The cozy cottage was great! The location is perfect and it has all the amenities you need. Julie the host is friendly and wonderful. The property is tucked in behind their main residence, in a safe and lovely neighborhood where you can walk to many shops, restaurants and bars. The beach is just a few minutes away as well! As others have mentioned, the outside seating area is great! We sat outside with a cocktail and a fire on a cold night for a nightcap. This residence is small, so I think it is perfect for couples or a couple with one small child. It can accommodate 2 kids though! You can’t go wrong with the Cozy Cottage!

Perfect spot in the Village

We really enjoyed our time at the Cottage! The location was tremendous and our family enjoyed walking to the beach and all the great spots to eat. The outdoor space was a great amenity. Hosts were great people and easy to work with. We hope to visit the Cottage again on our next trip to Carlsbad.

Cozy Cottage in Great Location

This property is small but fully equipped. We had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend escaping from reality. The outdoor space is wonderful. Always some shade and plenty of comfortable furniture to relax on. Easy walking distance to the beach and Carlsbad Village.

Great cozy place to stay

Julie was great to communicate with and checking in and out was super easy. The house was clean and well stocked. Lots of beach towels, toys and even a wagon to take to the beach which was so helpful. Nice large patio to enjoy as well.

Great place for a beach vacation

The property had all that I needed. The owners even helped me with getting an extra tank of propane for a cookout. It was a great weekend.

Our Favorite Spot

This is our 3rd time staying here and it’s our family’s favorite spot each summer. Location is great and so very convenient for everything. Host makes the stay so easy and has all the beach supplies there which makes our car ride easier to not have to bring all of the extras! Always so nice and easy to work with. We will be back again.

Cozy & Convenient

My family and I (includes twin toddlers) had a fabulous time here! The owners were so friendly and proactive about ensuring we enjoyed our stay. The various amenities including the beach gear and outdoor shower made our beach days stress free and very enjoyable. Strongly recommend you book this cozy cottage!

Great location and outdoor space, small for a family

Location is great- close to beach and restaurants. Outdoor space is awesome! Had beach toys and chairs, beach towels. I would recommend this property for 2 people. We stayed with our two kids and it was pretty tight. The bunk area is separated from the kitchen by just a curtain so keeping the noise down for nap time was a challenge. The main bedroom has a door but also an open pass through window to the kitchen (with curtain) so again you can hear everything. We brought two rather large suitcases and neither would fit lying down in the bedroom- had to keep them in the living room. I would definitely stay here again if It were just my husband and I.

Cozy Cottage was Great

Super nice place, within walking distance of tons of shops, food, and beach. Close to the Coaster train if you want to go to Oceanside or San Diego. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our 10th anniversary memorable!

Father + Son Surf Legoland Spring Break

The Cozy Cottage was so cool. Right in the center of the Carlsbad beach and village with huge hotels and resorts all around, you can still get an old school beach experience in Carlsbad here. My son and I loved the outdoor area for chilling in the sun, cornhole, morning coffee. Plenty of area for shade or sunbathing. The shack itself was as its name suggests, COZY. I had the queen room and my son (11) had the back bunk. Well designed bar/kitchen area for inside. Also we did movie nights on the couch and the TV had a surprisingly nice sound system. The real draw is the location! We easily loaded up each day and walked to the beach. A few times we would forget something on the beach and I just ran back to the cottage. Or you are right next to restaurants, 7-11, etc for quick bites or drinks. We discovered Carlsbad Village and walked to our favorite shaved ice shack along with my favorite cafe or burrito spots. We walked to surf lessons down the beach at Lifeguard stand 30 (we were at 37-38). Easy uber to Legoland one day as well. We loved the cottage and the beach so much we only went to Legoland one day......Win win for family bonding. My son and I now have an easy beach vacation spot to go back to....Oh yeah, Julie and her husband were awesome and they just want to see the beach shack get love, and we gave it and got it back from them. Very attentive if we needed anything, which wasn't much since the shack has everything you need. Lots of care and charm for a beach shack. We will be back...

Wonderful Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to return! The owner was great to work with, very friendly and quick to respond. There is everything you need for the beach from towels to beach toys! Being able to do laundry while there was a blessing and an unexpected perk that was included. The fire pit and outside area was fantastic. We sat outside every morning and night and enjoyed the views. The walk to the beach was 5 minutes and so easy. The village is so close with great restaurants and shops. Carlsbad beaches are incredible. Our first night we saw whales breaching and most nights we saw dolphins swimming, especially at dusk. The beaches are never crowded. The week we were there was perfect. Can’t wait to go back and stay here again.

Just a few blocks from the beach and the village restaurants etc. Great location! The house is small but works for a family with young kids. Nice outdoor space. Great host!

So easy, Julie and Ian were amazing, and the outdoor space made for the left relaxation spot. Easy beach access, SO quick to yummy food and shopping...a great getaway!

We bought this property for the location to the beach and the village. There are two stand alone cottages on the property we live in the front one and rent out the rear unit, which has own private entrance.
