Gite Trejeau For Two near Castelnau Magnoac with magnificent mountain views

Situated on the edge of an extremely quiet village and with uninterrupted views of the Pic du Midi and the Pyrenees mountains Gite Trejeau is an independent, newly renovated, light, airy and extremely comfortable one bedroomed gite just for .two. With its own private garden the Gite is completely separate from the main farmhouse which is across the large courtyard.

This spacious accommodation totals 75sqm and comprises of a downstairs open plan main room comprising of a modern fully fitted kitchen, dining and living space. French windows open out onto your own terrace and private garden. There is a woodburner for those cooler times and logs are provided free of charge. Upstairs the bedroom has a wonderfully comfortable king size bed with Egyptian cotton linen and magnificent views of the mountains. Oak beamed high ceiling with a stunning chandelier. There is also an ensuite fully fitted modern bathroom that includes an Italian walk in shower and a deep modern roll tap bath with views across the valley. Bath robes, slippers and hairdryer are provided.

Your garden has a BBQ, gas Plancha and table and chairs for you to enjoy outside dining and sunloungers to enable you to relax in the peace and quiet of the countryside and enjoy the mountain views. As well as your own private garden you have full use of all the grounds at Trejeau along with exclusive use of the above ground swimming pool.

A welcome pack will be provided on arrival and any extra shopping you require can be provided on request at cost.

Our rates include all bed linen, towels as well as beach towels for the pool, bath robes, slippers, tea towels, electricity, Wifi internet and the local Taxe de Séjour. Towels and linen are changed weekly for stays of 2 weeks or more. There are also two mountain bikes with safety helmets for you to use during your stay free of charge.

Please contact us if you would like a long weekend, mid-week break or an alternative start date, as we may be able to accommodate you.

We are in a perfect location for house hunting and exploring the area being in the Hautes Pyrenees and extremely close to the departments of the Gers and Haute Garonne and we are more than happy to share our experiences of both buying and renting property with you so that you can avoid some of the pitfalls that we experienced. We can also put you in contact with a number of estate agents in the area that we have personally used.

Our house is a traditional French farmhouse with many outbuildings and over 7 acres of land facing the Pyrenees on the edge of the village. Please note that we have one very friendly dog.

We hebben enorm genoten van het heerlijke huisje! Jan heeft een goed oog voor detail en zorgt dat je je echt ‘in de watten gelegd’ voelt. Ze was er wanneer we haar nodig hadden, verder hadden we ons eigen private plekje met fijn uitzicht.

Magnifique vacances

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances. Le gîte est encore plus beau en vrai, tous y était. Nous n’avons manqué de rien. Jan et Steve sont très accueillant tous en étant d’une grande discrétion. Ils on était disponible quand nous avions besoin et ont était d’une gentillesse infinie. Nous avons hâte de pouvoir revenir séjourner dans cette endroit de rêve. Gîte parfait où tout est pensé avec goût !!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Bazorgan . Le gîte est très fonctionnel , tout y est prévu par Jan et Steve avec bon goût et gentillesse . Rien ne manque , les équipements sont de grande qualité et le calme y est roi . La piscine est aussi bien agréable et les différentes zones du jardin très bien aménagées avec transats et fauteuils pour la détente . Nous conseillons ce gîte et l’accueil de ses propriétaires sans aucune hésitation.

A jewel among gites!

We had a wonderful stay at Gite Trejeau; Jan and Steve are consummate hosts. The welcome hamper in particular was a lovely touch and made the gite feel like a home away from home. There was nothing we needed that hadn't already been thought of! The location is extremely peaceful and you feel far away from any stresses, with an amazing view towards the Pyrenees. Very often you have to compromise and share outside and pool spaces in two-person gites, but the layout of this property in particular granted us a feeling of privacy, from the terrace to the sunloungers to the pool area. Communication with Jan and Steve was easy and straightforward. They were on hand if needed, but never intrusive. In all ways Trejeau easily ranks as the best two-person gite we've ever stayed in! We would recommend it to anyone wanting both tranquility and comfort away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Amazing property in an equally amazing location

WOW ! Perfect in every way. Hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful, whilst respecting our privacy at the same time. Fabulously well equipped Gite with everything that could possibly be needed for an enjoyable stay. The welcome pack had so much more than the ‘standard’ version you would expect. The peace and tranquillity was exactly what we had hoped it would be. The description of the Gite proved to be accurate in every single way, and more besides. So thoughtfully furnished and equipped, with both the inside and outside providing everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable two week stay. The Pool saved us from completely melting in the High 30’s temperatures that we were fortunate enough to have during our stay. Breakfast on the decking whilst gazing across to the Pyrenees is not something you get to experience every day, but at least we got to do it 12 times ! If you are looking for a blissful retreat, in a stunning location, with a property fitting the advertised description perfectly.....look no further. So much more that we could say.....but just go and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

Above and beyond all expectations

Immaculately presented and very well equipped, with exceptional hosts. One of the best and most extensive welcome packs we have ever encountered. Very rural location for quiet lazy days but within comfortable travelling distance to sightseeing destinations such as Carcasonne, Lourdes or a hop over the Pic du Midi, Pyrenees and a day out in Spain. Local services and markets are a short drive away in Lannemezan. Mountain bikes available to explore the myriad of small lanes weaving through the rolling countryside. Great for wildlife watching.

Bucólica estancia con vistas majestuosas y tranquilidad asegurada

Nuestra valoración de la estancia en Trejeau es estupenda! La casa era perfecta para pasar unos días de desconexión, descansando, paseando, leyendo, en una calma idílica y un paisaje privilegiado, con unas vistas majestuosas... Las fotos de las casa se ajustan perfectamente a la realidad, aunque nuestra impresión fue que el lugar y la casa tenían todavía más encanto de lo que ya se intuía a traves de las imágenes... Los propietarios fueron extraordiamente atentos y generosos (su "pack de bienvenida" con comida sobrepasaba con mucho el pequeño detalle que a veces puede esperarse en estas circunstancias). Multitud de pequeños detalles hacen de la casa un lugar muy acogedor (albornoces y zapatillas para salir de la ducha, por ejemplo) y sin duda, repetiremos cuando la ocasión se presente para ello. Hicimos un par de excursiones (al Pic du Midi, visita obligada) y a algunos pueblos cercanos pintorescos... aunque para nosotros el punto fuerte fue, sin duda, la sensación de paz absoluta que transmite el lugar. Hay que tener en cuenta, eso sí, que la conexión a internet (wifi) es problemática. A nosotros no nos afectó especialmente (con la eliminación del roaming, cuando los móviles pillaban cobertura, nos reconectábamos al mundo), pero hay que tenerlo en cuenta si uno da por supuesta una conexión con una señal potente (para trabajar, por ejemplo, o para ver vídeos por internet). En los días que nosotros estuvimos, fue la única posible pega al conjunto (aunque insistimos en que, para nosotros, la ventajas superaban con creces cualquier posible pega, y ésta de internet fue al final casi un punto a favor también). En resumen: excelente.

Thoroughly outstanding

The 1st impression is as you drive up the 100m drive lined with fruit trees. Then through the gates to be greeted by a very welcoming Steve & Jan. Yes, it was the 'wow factor!' and it continued as they showed us around the gite. Every smallest detail had been thought about - including not only an extensive welcome pack but also forewarning us that our 1st day was a bank holiday & then getting us some shopping in (thoroughly outstanding) Jan & Steve are exceptional hosts (& now good friends of ours). They kept themselves to themselves but we're always available whenever we wanted to ask questions etc. We spent three exceptional evenings chatting the night away with them. In summary: an exceptional gite, with outstanding hosts in the most perfect of settings. Please don't go there as we'd like to keep it a secret so we can keep going back! #Outstanding

Absolutely wonderful!!! A perfect getaway for two.

We were lucky enough to come across Gite Trejeau and book it for the final week in July 2016. We are so happy we did - it was an amazing place to stay. The gite itself was finished to an impeccable standard. The feeling of luxury ran throughout and everything that you could possibly want was provided, even robes and slippers. It gave the impression of staying in a boutique hotel rather than a holiday rental. All possible kitchen equipment and utensils were provided...the gardens were kept beautifully...the swimming pool overlooked the mountains...and some gorgeous local produce (cheese, meat, wine, croissants, pan au chocolat & more...) was put in to the gite for us for our arrival, which was an unexpected but very welcome surprise after our 12 hour drive down. Jan & Steve were fantastic hosts and we can't thank you both enough for the work you put in to making the gite as beautiful as it is and for making us feel very welcome in your little piece of paradise in southern France. You really do go above and beyond for your guests. Top tips: If you can tear yourself away from the gite for a day, take the cable car from La Mongie to the Pic Du Midi - a fabulous day out to really see the full beauty of the Pyrenees. We absolutely loved Gite Trejeau and would highly recommend a stay for those who enjoy the peace and quiet, beautiful landscape and scenery and luxury accommodation. Amy & Simon

We are Jan and Steve and after many relaxing holidays here in the south west of France we decided to sell up in the UK and live our dream here in the magnificent Hautes Pyrenees. After renting for a year we finally found our dream forever home with amazing views of the Pyrenees which has always been a draw to us. We wanted to share our love of this area with like minded people and decided to convert a former dairy into a totally independent, light, airy and extremely comfortable one bedroomed holiday home just for two. A comfortable mix of modern and traditional French antiques the gite is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We love our life here and would like to help you enjoy it also.
