The property is in a small, quiet block, in a very peaceful road, near the centre of town. It is bright, spacious and sunny, 5 minutes' walk from Perpignan SNCF train station. Rivesalte airport is 10 minutes' drive away. You can take the train from Perpignan to Barcelona in just 45 mins!

Clean and good location

Good space apartment that was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately it was very very hot in Perpignan and being the 3rd floor with 1 fan my family and I struggled with the heat overnight. Good location for exploring the area.

Sorry about the heat factor! There is in fact a second fan in the top of one of the cupboards, I'll make sure it's taken out for future guests to use. This summer really was a scorcher- (everywhere!). Normally there is a nice average temperature of 23.5 C in Perpignan in August, but in the week you were there temperatures hit 38 C on two consecutive days, and cooled down to 35 C, so I understand you struggled with the heat. I'm glad you had a good time though!

Perfekt!!

Ich habe 2 Wochen Urlaub mit 3 Teenager in dieser schönen Wohnung verbracht. Während ich abends alleine in Ruhe auf dem Balkon einen lokalen Rosé trinken sowie lesen konnte, haben die Drei regelmäßig die Gelegenheit genutzt, in die Altstadt zu laufen und ein wenig Spaß zu haben. Die Wohnung liegt im 3. Stock ohne Aufzug. Allerdings kann man dadurch wunderbar die Fenster und Balkontüre auch nachts auflassen, sodass auch an heißen Tagen eine angenehme Nachtruhe gewährleistet ist. Die Wohnung und Perpignan ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für unterschiedliche Touren und Ausflüge, einschl. Bergwanderungen, Schwimmen in der Schlucht bei Tautavel, Windsurfen in Leucate, Barcarès oder Port Vendres, sowie einen Tag in Barcelona. Hervorragend, die Jungs wollen nochmal hin!

Hot, stifling and not in a good neighbourhood

We were disamayed to have to walk up 4 floors in 95 degree heat and arrive in s very hot apartment lacking air conditioning or even a fan. The amenities did not even include toilet paper so bring your own. No sheets or towels either, a problem for long distance travellers. When sheets were finally supplied they were for a single bed and Did not fit to a double bed. What we did have a lot of was cleaning instructions. The absentee owner wants one to do all the preparation for the next guest. Minor points: very difficult to find parking, no microwave nd no nearby food stores. As a result of this we left the apartment early...

Perpignan had scorching heat beginning September this year, hotter than it’s ever been in July or August. I’m sorry about this. If the electric blinds are down during the day, the apartment does not heat up; in addition, I have now purchased 2 large portable fans. There is and was a large supply of toilet paper in one of the kitchen cupboards. There is a food store ‘Casino’, 200 m away, also convenience stores, greengrocers etc on the road up to the station. Regarding the parking, this was in the time of Perpignan’s biggest yearly photo-journalism exhibition ,with approx. 250,000 visitors, which would account for the unfortunate demand on parking spaces. Although I don’t live in Perpignan for most of the year, I am so lucky to have a professional gite owner who lives opposite the apartment who welcomes guests, gives information and is there to help with any problems. For future guests: Please contact me or the gite owner with any queries or problems. Please be aware too that Perpignan is a colourful city close to Spain, the mountains and the sea - it is South of France but is not quite in the same league as Cannes, St. Tropez etc but we love the location for seeing and visiting so many wonderful places.

Great apartment in Perpignan

Dear helen, thank you very much for a wonderful holiday in your apartment in Perpignan. The location is great- there was a fantastic French bakery 3 minutes away, nice bars and restaurants around the corner. We found a free parking space on the street and left the car there most of the time, getting on the bus to several beaches (OK –it was January!) We even went to Barcelona for one day! The apartment is bright and spacious- We woke up every morning in a good mood. Lovely and clean, well-equipped flat, felt really at home and will certainly come back again soon.

Séjour très agréable

Séjour très agréable dans un logement très propre et bien situé dans un quartier typique. Commerces, restaurants alentours, facilement accessibles. Accueil très chaleureux. Tout était parfait. Je recommande vivement cet appartement à tous.

I'm English , a 'Brummie' in fact, studied French and German at University, and have lived in French-speaking Switzerland for a few years and for the past 18 years in Germany. We- my family with two children aged 16 and 14 love to travel particularly around France and we love to be near the sea, ideally going to the beach, sunbathing and boogie boarding during the day, walking round to one of the cafés in the evening, and on other days popping over the border to see friends near Girona or driving into the mountains nearby. We love the flat in Perpignan. It's a great base to explore this wonderful part of South West France with easy access to some great beaches by car, bike or even the 1 Euro buses and a great train network to take you to all these great locations nearby.

Great Location in a sunny Region of France. Good things to see nearby. Not too touristy in the main season. Near the mountains, near the sea, university town.

The location is great. The appartment gives you the feeling of freedom. We like being near the centre of the action with 10-15 mins walk to the main attractions and old town but also still enjoying a nice laid-back retreat.
