This beautiful 2 bedroom self-catering apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a charming small townhouse in an excellent location and in one of Edinburgh’s most perfect Georgian Squares. This wonderfully bright drawing room apartment which sleeps four people has a lovely sun catching drawing room with deep window seats and two most relaxing bedrooms and retains all the charms of the Georgian era with a sense of soft décor and luxurious comfort throughout with living flame open fire, working shutters, oak flooring and warm lighting. Virtually next door to the apartment are the glorious Glenogle Baths, restored to their Victorian splendour of 1897 with beautiful heated pool and sauna and open for a morning dip or evening wind down. Located in the quirky bohemian village of Stockbridge yet only a 10 minute walk to the city centre, Saxe Coburg Place very much enjoys the best of both worlds of village living in the heart of neo-classical New Town. Most find themselves quite smitten with Stockbridge village itself. It’s a great place for shop browsing by day and eating and drinking by night. Set around a maze of cobbled streets it's a marketplace for antiques and quality gifts, speciality food, many art galleries, second hand bookshops and vintage just a touch of eccentricity!

Wonderful, quiet and welcoming

Laura and Catriona were wonderful hosts. Everything is as described and the location is quiet and convenient. So many excellent cafes and restaurants close by and an easy walk, bus or cab ride into Edinburgh. Thank you for helping to make our Edinburgh stay truly memorable.

Great location

Lovely flat, just a short walk to city attractions and the botanical gardens. The Glendogle Swimming Centre just two doors down was a fantastic bonus.

Beautiful location, well appointed amenities, comfy sheets!

We highly recommend this property. The Stockbridge location was excellent with tons of great restaurants one and two blocks away...but with a front door that's in a quiet, green neighborhood.

A quiet neighborhood in agreat location

Very elegant Georgian era flat. Beautiful neighborhood with restaurants and shoppong close by. A 10 minute taxi ride to the castle and other sites. We really enjoyed our stay.

Prime location

The property is well equipped with everything you need and serves perfectly well as a base for exploring the beauty of Edinburgh. We enjoyed to return to the apartment from our daily excursions and relax. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay in lovely Edinburgh neighborhood

Lovely flat in the very convenient, quite and charming neighborhood of Bonnington/Stockbridge. The flat was well-stocked including fresh flowers and treats for us. Very quiet and comfortable.

Great Stay

Perfect location. Charming apartment on a beautiful, quiet street. Plenty of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. A short taxi ride or 20 minute walk into the city center. Catriona greeted us upon arrival and Laura responded to any questions immediately. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Best place in Edinburgh

This is a wonderful apartment/flat. So wonderful it was hard to pull ourselves away from the lovely light filled living room with fresh flowers and dreamy window seats, perfect for reading and watching the world go by. The apartment is located on a quiet circle that looks out on to a communal garden in the heart of Stockbridge. You won’t find a better location in Edinburgh!

The only problem is you won’t want to leave

Had a lovely stay with my girlfriends over a rainy fall weekend. So cozy laughing by fire in the evening and reading in the window seats in the morning, watching the world go by. Beautifully appointed and we appreciated the fresh flowers, Prosecco, fruit, and snacks.

Beautiful flat in a wonderful neighborhood

This flat was perfect for our stay in Edinburgh! The neighborhood is filled with great shops and restaurants and is near the Botanical Gardens, a highlight of our trip. It was a 20 minute walk or a quick bus ride to the Old City and museums. The flat itself is beautifully furnished and equipped and is quite spacious. I would stay here again with great pleasure.

Great host, charming apartment

Laura was so responsive in our communications before the trip and so nice! Apartment is in quiet, strollable neighborhood located near a beautiful river walk. Good restaurants nearby. Apartment is well stocked with dishware so you can cook as needed. Yay Laura!

This apartment was the perfect "home base" for our family attending a family wedding in Edinburgh. The location and the apartment was light-filled, clean and had EVERYTHING needed for a multi-night stay. I especially appreciated the dishwasher, washer/dryer combo. Brilliant use of space, comfortable and close to Stockbridge shops. And Lannan Bakery was just down the street. Laura is an excellent communicator and host. Catriona was there to greet us and provided fresh flowers along with other necessities to make our first night comfortable. If our travels return to Edinburgh, we will definitely book a stay here!

Charming home

The house was bright, sunny, clean and very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels linens. Can’t say enough about Stockbridge and how cute the town is. A few minutes walk and there are great shops, coffee houses, restaurants. Great walking paths along the water. Castle and downtown about 30 min walk which we did several days in a row and always glad to come back to charming Stockbridge. Would stay again!

Hated to Leave

Charming, clean and cozy. Beautiful flat with large rooms and lovely detail.Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We so enjoyed strolling and shopping in the nearby village of Stockbridge and of course Edinburgh was amazing. If you are headed to Scotland you will not be disappointed staying in this gem.

Wonderful setting. Wonderful apartment!

Gorgeous and spacious apartment for the three of us. Very clean with all the needed accessories. Beautiful small town feeling with great shops and restaurants with very close proximity to Edinburgh center. Sunday outdoor market is great. Only complaint was the soft king size mattress, although my wife was ok with it.
