Welcome to Mountain View Treehouse, a light-filled 2BR/2BA cabin perched in the treetops of Pine Cove, just 3 miles from Idyllwild town center. Offering total privacy—your nearest neighbors are 1,000 feet away—this isn’t your grandmother’s cabin! It’s a newly remodeled retreat that blends rustic mountain charm with modern luxury.

The Home

Soaring vaulted ceilings, wood beams, clerestory windows, and a beautiful rock fireplace create a cozy yet stylish mountain vibe. Large windows frame unmatched panoramic views, while three separate decks invite you to relax, birdwatch, or sip morning coffee surrounded by nature.

The home sits on over half an acre of explorable land with a private knoll, picnic spots, and a brand-new grill for outdoor dining. Despite the privacy, you’re just a 5-minute drive to town and a short walk to Pine Cove Market for wine, beer, and essentials.

Master Suite: Spacious with its own sitting area, fireplace, flat-screen Roku TV, evaporative cooler, and a private deck with breathtaking views.

Second Bedroom: Comfortable and inviting, ideal for family or friends.
The cabin includes 1.5 newly remodeled bathrooms stocked with fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Comfort & Amenities

Stay cool with a brand-new AC unit upstairs, or cozy up by the fireplace on chilly nights. Ultra-high-speed internet (400 Mbps) makes remote work or streaming easy, and both TVs are equipped with Roku plus a Blu-ray player with a DVD library.

The fully remodeled kitchen features stainless appliances, a Bosch dishwasher, and all the tools you’ll need to prepare a gourmet meal. Coffee maker, blender, and toaster included.

The house was great with all amenities considered and provided. Different types of coffee machines, a kettle and good coffee were provided. The setting was gorgeous with outdoor seating and dining. There was an outdoor grill but we didn't use it. The WiFi was powerful and easy to use. Check-in and checkout were flawless.

The host, Mark, was amazing to work with and patiently answered my many questions. The cabin was perfectly cleaned and supplied with everything we could have possibly needed. It was so convenient to the town of Idyllwild and the little shops and restaurants located there. What stood out most, were the incredible views and the peaceful surroundings. Watching the snow fall was awesome! We can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Mark!

Weekend retreat

Our three-night stay at the mountain cabin was fantastic! The cabin is cozy, well-equipped, and perfectly located with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding trees. Wonderful stay, perfectly appointed- nothing lacking. Views incredible. Bed comfortable ( only used 1 bedroom. Parking is a bit tricky if you have large vehicle. And the two story staircase is steep with shallow steps. However, if you’re capable navigating those issue - it is a peaceful & very satisfactory destination!

Spectacular view

The view alone made the trip worth it. We had all of our meals on the deck. The best part was to be able to enjoy the nature without having to give up any of the material comforts like a good kitchen, soft beds and good restrooms. The only suggestion from my end would be bring your own coffee pods because we couldn’t find the coffee carafe for the filter coffee and no pods for the Keurig. Which was fine for me because I am a tea person myself.

Well maintain property

Well maintain property in the middle of neighborhood yet feels like in the wilderness. Very peaceful. Very clean. I love the animities the most. The kitchen is equpped with good quality pans and pots. Washer and dryer are also in a very good quality.

We were in Pine Cove/Idyllwild visiting our daughter who had recently relocated to the area. The property met our needs to perfection. We had no issues and Mark responded promptly to the few queries we made.

Repeat renter here! Amazing views, 5 min from town, love this place!

This our 2nd time renting this property and we loved every moment of it. Rented the 1st week of Nov, stayed for 3 days 2 nights. Excellent views, super close to town, house is VERY clean and the host is very responsive and accommodating. Its perfect for a couple or 2 couples. Kitchen is big enough to prepare nearly any meal, living room is very comfortable, fast internet and easy to use wood fireplace. We are definitely coming back!

Wonderful experience

This property was perfect for a getaway in the mountains. Lots of room and outdoor space, while being extremely clean and cozy. The check-in process couldn't have been easier and instructions were laid out very clearly. The host was extremely kind and responded quickly. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Idyllwild.

I fell in love with the charming community of Idyllwild after my very first visit. After searching for the perfect property for over three years, I knew that this place was special from the minute I walked in the door. It was like nothing I had seen before- light and bright with windows boasting incredible views everywhere. With three separate decks, soaring wood ceilings, a flawless floor plan and charm to spare, I can truly say that this fully remodeled stunner is my dream mountain getaway. The home sits on a double lot totaling almost three-quarters of an acre of prime mountain land. I love exploring the property and collecting pine cones and manzanita branches. When you are at this property, you truly feel that you have gotten away from it all. Particularly when you come home from a fabulous meal at night and stand on the deck taking in the most incredible view of the stars I have ever seen. What can I say, the place really is magic.

Because this home sits on a mountainside nestled on a private road, it boasts incredible views and a peaceful environment. Sitting on the deck watching the birds come to feed at the birdhouse is one of my favorite pastimes. I even provide a bird watching book and binoculars so that you can identify your new friends. Because of the "windows everywhere" concept of this house, even on a cold day while nestled in front of the fire, you feel like you are outside in the middle of nature.
This home is truly a luxury accommodation. High thread count sheets, soft fluffy towels and comfortable pillows all make for a relaxing stay. Because cooking is a passion of mine, the home is stocked with high quality pots and pans, beautiful dishes and glassware and every kitchen utensil you might need to cook a gourmet meal. The home also has a brand new chef's quality infrared grill.
For those snow-filled wintry days, the home has a beautiful wood burning fireplace/stove and lots of items to entertain you - smart flat screen television, Blu-ray disk player, dvd's, board games and a large book collection.
With all that it has to offer, this home truly is the perfect mountain getaway.
