Ideally located in the centre of a mountain village but with easy access (12 km) to Briançon a historical, cultural and commercial centre. The village has a natural hot water spa plus an extensive range of shops, bars and restaurants. The valley of Serre Chevalier offers outstanding downhill, off-piste, snow-board and cross-country skiing while the mountains and glaciers of the Ecrins National Park are renowned for their mountaineering possibilities. A great place for summer and winter holidays.

Séjour au Monêtier-les-Bains

Magnifique séjour!Appartement au calme (au fond d’une impasse), bien situé et proche des commerces du centre du village à pied. Parking extérieur et même un garage fermé au sous-sol ainsi qu’un local à skis.Pas besoin de la voiture durant tout notre séjour. L’arrêt de la navette village gratuite pour aller au bas des pistes est à 2min à pied.Logement propre et très bien équipé.Excellent contact avec notre hôte.Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

A fantastic week!

My family and I (a total of 5 adults) spent the New Year's week 23/24 in John and Laura's fantastic apartment. The apartment has a total of 6 real beds, distributed in 3 nice bedrooms, with two bathrooms and an additional toilet, so it never feels crowded. The apartment has a large living room with a fantastic view of the mountains, and the integrated kitchen has everything you need for cooking both large and small meals. The location is ideal, with proximity to shops, restaurants, and the ski system. The apartment also has a large garage on the ground floor, perfect for storing skis, with its own exit directly facing the ski system. We also took advantage of the fantastic bathhouse, heated by the village's natural hot springs. It was wonderful to sit in a large naturally heated outdoor pool and feel the snow falling. The bathhouse is only a minute's walk from the apartment. As hosts, you can immediately tell that both John and Laura have a genuine and sincere interest, with a real commitment to both the apartment and to you as a guest, ensuring that you get the most out of your vacation week. My family and I give both the apartment and John & Laura the highest rating and look forward to returning. Johan Falk January 2024

Appartement bien conçu , prevu pour 6 personnes. Deux espaces bien séparés, bien isoles. Il comporte tout ce qu il faut. Emplacement proche des bains et des pistes. John et laura sont à l ecoute et disponibles.

Excellent séjour, appartement et environnement particulièrement agréables

Appartement confortable, très bien aménagé et bien situé dans le village. Son large balcon offre une superbe vue sur la montagne, colorée en saison automnale par les mélèzes dorés.

L'appartement est bien conçu et bien placé. Rien ne manque: l'électroménager est complet et récent. Les commerces de Monétier (boulangeries, restaurants, épiceries, etc etc ) sont à 200 mètres à peine: aller chercher du pain frais le matin n'est pas un problème. Le balcon est de taille suffisante pour y poser chaises et table, et la vue sur les massifs est très belle. Quelques départs de randonnée sont accessibles à pied. En résumé, ces 3 semaines nous ont reposés et enchantés et il est plus que probable que nous retournions dans cet appartement. Ah oui, j'oubliais, pour les personnes connectées (comme nous), Internet est fonctionnel.

Très bon emplacement, super appartement, très bien équipé

Nous avons passé un super séjour au Monetier dans l’appartement de John. Bel accueil, très bel appartement, bien équipé (vaisselle, électroménager,...), idéalement situé avec une très belle vue sur les pistes. Bonus avec un garage fermé ! L’accès aux pistes et aux commerces est facile et rapide à pied, de même que l’arrêt des navettes. Les grands bains sont à 2 mn. Une très belle expérience. A recommander.

L'appartement est très bien situé , prés des pistes, des commerces et des bains (pour les amateurs). Propre , fonctionnel, calme et très bien équipé. De plus le propriétaire Mr Protas est sympathique et accueillant bien que ne parlant pas le français couramment, mais on arrive à communiquer. Nous reviendrons surement

Overall very good, lovely apartment in a wonderful

We had a fantastic 4 week holiday in Monetier. The apartment was perfectly placed for ski lifts, spa, shops, bars and restaurants. The balcony and main room had stunning views, the accommodation was warm and comfortable and we were able to accommodate our guests with ease. We had all we needed. John and Laura were there on our arrival to advise and guide us on the flat and the local area, and available if we needed them. In all a very successful holiday, and a place we will come back to.

A great apartment close to the lifts and spa.

The property is very good. It is well equipped and parking is not a problem. There is a garage for extra storage space but its impractical for parking the car in. We ended up staying for 4 weeks with our 7 month old and had a 7 yr old for the final week. The owners are very nice and met us in person on arrival and on the day of departure. Communication was excellent though out and they went out of their way to find creche options for us before we booked. Would certainly stay again and recommend.

Great setting, close to slopes and town

Apartment was comfortable, light and warm. Great views over the slopes. Very Close to slopes, town and thermal baths, but quietly located. Good customer care from owners Would be better to have cost of departure cleaning, and hire of linen/towels included in overall hire price of apartment Would recommend this apartment Ate at the Hotel Europe - excellent service and food

Very nice and conveniently located apartment

We were a family of four and our kind had a choice either to stay in bunk bed or single beds. They chose single beds and used the bunk bed as a pirate ship. The apartment is equipped with all necessities and for sound proofing there are extra sliding doors that separate zones. There's a garage in the basement to keep ones skies and boards and change ski boots. Close location to ski school and chairlifts made it easy to walk with children to and back from the mountain while carrying multiple skies and poles. Small supermarket and boulangerie are just around the corner. Given our experience, this apartment was very large compared to other apartments in France. The apartment looks better in real life than pictures that are posted here. We were very satisfied with our experience and hopefully will come back.

Perfect! - Absolutely Perfect!

Perfect Position, New-ish buidling, perfect condition, nice size for 4/5/6 people, very good/nice combined kitchen/dining/living room - fully equipped with all cooking appliances necessary. Is on 2nd floor, with parking both outside (usually places free) and in an easily accessible garage below (only bothered to use once). Nice television, with DVD player and good internet. Two bathrooms, one with own WC, one without, plus a separate WC. We have stayed at this apartment approx 6 times - it is always our first choice if we can book it in time - enough said! The Ski area is fantastic, about 10 km, covering 4 villages, all linked up. It is a 7 minute walk to the ski slope & lift (in snow boots and carrying skis - probably 5 without!). The apartment is always spotlessly clean when we arrive & are met by the owners. The ski area is good for all abilities - masses of ski schools and huge beginner areas - and masses of blacks for the professionals. THIS PLACE IS PERFECT.

Wandering holiday in Le Monêtier-Les-Bains - 09.17

Very nice and practical apartment ideally located in the small village of Le Monêtier-Les-Bains: at walking distance from shops and restaurants which are mostly located in the centre of the village. We shall maybe mention the fact that the apartment is located on the second floor without lift, which might makes it a bit difficult to be accessed by elderly people or people with moving difficulty. The property was clean and we appreciated the way that it can be spitted in 2 apartments, ideal for 2 couples. The service given by the owners was good and flexible on arrival timeframe for instance which we particularly appreciated as it is often difficult to manage... We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends or relatives taking into account that it makes sense for a family of a certain size or 2 couples with no more than 2 children in total to still feel comfortable. The most appreciated activities were walking, horse riding and visiting the nice town of Briançon located at the end of the Valley. Altogether, we were very satisfied and are looking forward to coming back!

Ideal apartment in perfect location

This apartment is ideally situated in Monetier village - 2 minutes from the boulangeries, little supermarkets, restaurants and other shops. It is a few minutes walk downhill to the slopes although we used our car as it is easy to park near the lifts and definitely more straightforward with children. There is a great balcony with a wonderful view of the high peaks and glaciers as well as a view on the slopes. The apartment has absolutely everything you could need - it is simply really well thought through, particularly in terms of the kitchen which has a good range of pans, a toaster, coffee machine and knives that actually cut stuff! Arrangements and communications with the owners were the best we have experienced - rapid responses to questions and all really straightforward but also welcoming. As regular visitors to Monetier we cannot recommend this more highly for its combination of value, location and facilities.
