    At the heart of the “Terres Basses” private domain, discover this independent upscale lodge established in 2014. It has been lightly damaged by the hurricane Irma: only outdoor painting had to be done.
    It is located in a 2000 sq ft ground, part of a 2.5 acre private tropical park-like property filled with hundreds of palm trees. It is entirely separated from the main house by the lush vegetation and offers complete privacy.

    Starting from its private entrance equipped with a remote controlled electric gate, you will discover this haven integrated into a single large garden where living space is thoughtfully configured as an open architecture for a quality stay for two.

    The living rooms, dining room, kitchen, and bar are arranged for a continuous dialogue with nature. Pergolas, blinds and shutters will protect you from the sun during the hottest hours of the day. The bedroom with its king size bed is air conditioned, the bathroom opens onto a large outdoor shower.

    Nap in the Brazilian hammock, relaxing on the sundeck, cocktail evening contemplating a sunset with pink highlights, lazy daydream beside a water garden where the fish are windy, hot tub at night, head in the air looking for a shooting star. Make a wish!

    Here you will enjoy a soothing break, pleasant configuration of happiness to be two in an enchanting environment.

    The equipment and decoration were designed in every detail by your hosts who will attend you discreetly throughout your stay.

    As you can see, our lodge is designed as a love nest, romantic getaway, honeymoon, living as two and no more, the sweetness of the Caribbean is offered to you as a sensual present.

    In terms of comfort and safety, all openings are fitted with electric shutters which allow total privacy during sleep as well as a rapid closing of the lodge.

    It is equipped with a high speed Internet connection with WiFi and a flat screen TV in the room with Canalsat Caribbean chains.

    An autostarting generator is located on the property in case of a power failure.

    Ventilation and mosquitos in bedroom

    We love Terres Basses, but had to book alternate accommodations. The bedroom did not have any window screens which prevented it from getting fresh air. We found ourselves stifled and sweating every night even with the airco on. Without a restful night of sleep, we had to find something else.

    Perfect for a couple

    Very private guesthouse, well hidden by vegetation from the main house. Large lot and separate entrance - no contacts with the owners, if you don't want. However, if you need something you get it right away. Not often found VERY QUIET air conditioner in the bedroom, and VERY comfortable bed - fantastic sleep in fairly hot and humid climate! Car is necessary to drive down to awesome beaches with very few people, but the car is the must regardless. Gated community with security guards on duty 24/7 to feel absolutely safe. We had unforgettable 9 nights in Les Terres Basses! Mike and Natasha.

    Great Couples Only Vacation!!

    This is a great villa for peace and quiet. It is in a nice secure neighborhood with a fence and an electric gate. It is fully stocked with everything you need for a great vacation. The villa is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful palm trees to provide you with complete privacy. After going to the beach each day, this villa provided a great place to sit out on the deck and unwind in our own private palm grove. They even have pet turtles on the property that we feed each day. Everything was awesome and we had a great vacation! You will love this property!!

    What a Relaxing and Peaceful Stay

    We didn't know what to expect upon our arrival because sometimes online descriptions are hard to decipher but all of those expectations were totally surpassed as soon as we approached the property and met Christian in the driveway. Every described detail was spot on and our host was there every time we needed him but never intrusive at all. We enjoyed getting to know Christian and look forward to seeing him again. What a great time we had! A perfect spot for two people.

    Wisconsin Couple

    This was a tremendous getaway for my wife and me. We were specifically searching for a small home away from the fray at a great value...this was perfect! This intimate and secluded "cottage" was very clean with all the modern living conveniences and only 5 to 10 minutes from the 3 best beaches on the island; Red Bay, Plum Bay, and Long Bay. Each beach had it's unique advantage for swimming, snorkeling, walking, running or just watching the sunset (with wine, of course). There was never more than a dozen people on the beach, and these beaches range from a quarter to a half mile long. For more action and about a 15 minute drive, Cupecoy, Nettle Bay, Maho and Marigot offer great restaurants, beach bars, night clubs and bakeries. Dreams and Le Sand restaurants in Nettle Bay are very close, on the beach, and have great food. There is a bakery another 1/4 mile down the road that's worth an early rise each morning. Our hosts live in another home on the property, out of view, and were available when we needed their assistance. We toured the entire island looking at all the other lodging possibilities and came to the conclusion that we made the best choice. This was our best couples vacation.
