Welcome to ONE PARTICULAR HARBOR our fun vacation home at the beach. Enough room for a family vacation with many added amenities. A short walk to the beach (300 Yards) along a tree-lined path and down a quiet street. House is located in a quiet cul de sac.
New for 2024! All Timbertek railing and decking

The house is on three levels:

** Bottom level
1/2 bath, Game room with games, Trundle bed ( DD/SS)
Theater room with 5 reclining theater chairs with surround sound system. Enjoy family game night in our game room. Kick back with a movie from our Netflix instant Streaming Library.

** Middle level
King Master Suite, TV, w/private bath,

King Bedroom with attached Bath, TV
Third BR has two bunk sets (4 SS beds) (shared bath)

The property was as described. Everyone enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the theater. We were initially unsure about the walk to the beach, but it wasnā€™t that far at all. The tree covered path made the walk much nicer too. The one day we couldnā€™t go to the ocean, due to the storm, everyone found something fun to do at the house-movies, games, cooking, etc.

Another amazing OBX vacay

We had a fabulous week at One Particular Harbor. Everything about the house was perfect for us. We loved the short walk to the beach; the shaded forest area was super cool and kind of spooky at night! The area was quiet and peaceful. Most of all we loved and are grateful that we were able to accommodate our 3 dogs; that means the world to us. Being a pet friendly beach house, not everything is perfect. There were a few broken chairs when we arrived, as well as some damage to window screens (irrelevant during such a hot week), but the house was close to the beach and CLEAN. We couldn't ask for anything more...again, this is a pet friendly beach house. Plus, our ocean week was FULL Of jellyfish, so we were extremely keen on the pool...it treated us well. Overall, this was an amazing stay at the OBX that we would book again.

Family vacation

The property was great! Enough space for the family and the pool was great after a beach day to cool off. The beach is a little bit of a walk and a lot of steps over the dunes. We loved sitting out on the porches at night. Great house and would recommend!

Highly recommend!

The place was wonderful! The walk to the beach was made easy due to a tree-covered path for half the walk. The kitchen was awesomely stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, and cooking utensils. It was close to the grocery stores. We would stay there again!

Beach Vacation

The home was great for our family (a group of 14). It was within walking distance of the beach (we tended to drive and drop people and chairs, then park back at the house and walk), and was perfect for a vacation spot. There are many restaurants that are a short drive away (about 5 minutes), as well as a grocery store and some activities. If you want more, you'll have to go further south to Kitty Hawk or somewhere like that, but this was very nice. We would definitely stay again.

Great Family Vacation

The property was in a great location. We had maybe a five minute walk to the beachā€¦. Very convenient. The house was like the picture and very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. There were a couple small issues but the property manager was very accessible and responded quickly. Overall my family had a great time and would consider renting this property again.

Wonderful getaway

The house was great! It was nice to vacation with the dogs. It was a nice setup, with the built in baby gate on the top floor and all enclosed decks. The house was very well equipped with everything. My only suggestion would be more hooks for hanging towels. Overall, it was a great place to stay, beautiful decor, and great accomodations!

Extended Family Vacation

Our family of 13 had a fantastic time! The house was so much fun. It had plenty of room. The pool was small but great for our teens. The house was so cheerful and clean. It was such an easy walk to the beach. It was a quiet neighborhood, but was only about a mile away from restraunts, supermarkets, and activities. It was wonderful!

Perfect family getaway

We arrived early and were able to access the pool until the cleaners were finished at our check in time. The property was clean and everything was working well. Pool was small but ended up being perfect for the smaller kids we had in tow. Location is perfect, close to grocery stores and private community beach access and the beach was pristine. We had a party of 11 including and infant and everyone had their own space and privacy when needed. The movie theatre was the perfect spot for the kids to have their own space as well. This property is perfect for a family similar in size and age range to ours. Quiet and absolutely everything needed to enjoy OBX. Great job!

50th Anniversary Celebration

The house worked well for our family group of 11, including 3 teens and a tween + 7 adults, including 2 grandparents at age 75. The location was great --- a 5-minute walk to the beach, within a mile or so of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, mini-golf, etc. We all had a great time. The only negative would be that the cleaning crew needs to do a better job: there were water bottles and other discarded items under 2 of the beds when we arrived, and we had to wait an additional 80 minutes to gain access to the house. The BBQ grill basin had not been cleaned in quite a while, and the oven, too. These issues, however, did not dampen our spirits or our enjoyment of the house. The pool was a big plus, and there were always 4 or 5 in it after the beach and at night.

Needs a deep clean!

This property is about a 10 minute walk to the beach with access using stairs. If you are handicapped, this isnā€™t the property for you. The kids loved the movie theater and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our first day there, we saw roaches. The property company came right out and sprayed and that seemed to work. Having this property deep cleaned will help that problem. Itā€™s a necessity at this point.

Perfect for families and pets

This rental home is affordable and well appointed for families with children and pets. The layout is great for two families and the house is well stocked. The walk is an easy one to the beach; beautiful wooded shaded trail. The pool area is fenced securely and the main level has a built in baby gate. The pool is nice and warm and the decks are gated and clean. Quiet neighborhood. Grocery stores and shopping a mile away. The beach is wide and flat, not crowded at all, and high tide brings wading pools perfect for little ones. The AC wrnt out our first day, but the owner replied immediately and a tech arrived the next morning and quickly got it fixed (the condensate drain was clogged and the overflow switch cut off the thermostat as a result.) The owner supplies a welcome bag of the basic necessities so dont stress about brining those items. They also supply plenty of pool towels and toys, beach chajrs and a cart. Highly recommend!

Great stay, wonderful location!

We rented this property for our very big vacation for 3 best friends and their crew. The location was wonderful, the trail took us straight to the beach within five minutes (look for the trail through the trees, even though it was marked in the pictures online I second guessed myself because it was between two other houses). Well stocked grocery stores within a mile going in either direction on the main road along with other little shops and things to do. The house was perfect for our group, just enough bedrooms for all and spread across floors which gave everyone plenty of room if they wanted to step away for a bit. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans for cooking, a regular coffee pot (not the kind that uses the kcups). We picked the house because the dining table was large for our crew plus there was extra seating in the living room and kitchen counter. Pool was 4ā€™ all across which was great for the kids (and peace of mind for parents) and the hot tub was awesome for the grown ups! We had one issue towards the beginning of the trip (the A/C was not working on the top floor-1 bedroom plus the kitchen and living area). But we called the property manager and someone did come out the next day (given we called Sunday we thought that was very responsive). We marked 4 for cleaning because there were some spots that were overlooked, but we were already unpacked and did it ourselves (not anything really gross just a few spots). Would stay here again!

Amazing vacation spot

We were all disappointed when we arrived because it looked small & not in the best location compared to pictures when you 1st see it. However, once you walk in you quickly learned you were perceived! Itā€™s a good size with so many floors. The pool is small however, perfect to hang out in especially having children. It was such a peace of mind that all the kids could touch the bottom! Over all very well surfaced cleaned. We were putting off going to the beach because it didnā€™t seem close then finally went on day 2 randomly walked there and the walk wasnā€™t bad at all!!!!! We literally carried like 6 beach chairs provided with 3 coolers and the push cart provided by the house with towels etc with no issue. It would be a hard walk for anyone not good with stairs but a lot of the beaches have stair cases you have to use. The location is okay, you do have to drive everywheee but itā€™s only like a 4 minute drive to plenty of shops/stores! The kitchen is stocked! Cons: pool guy/garbage pick up different days then stated. A guy was randomly in the house with no warning when we werenā€™t there to fix a chair which we didnā€™t feel comfortable with!!!! All our stuff was out it felt violating. No swiffer for floors. Also the bunk bed room had such a bad odor none of the kids would sleep in it which made nights hard. We could not find the source so we shut the door and didnā€™t use it after night 1. & all mattresses hard super firm.

Itā€™s the little things

The lay out of the house was great. It was spacious and the location was good for a short walk to the beach and drive to the stores. The pool and hot tub were both clean. However, this property needs a good walk through with the owner to update and fix the little things to make a big difference. These items did not ruin our vacation, but I would not recommend the house.* there are not enough pans to cook for the amount of people staying at the house, pots yes, pans no* no garbage disposal made it challenging * broken frame on bunk in lower level* Adirondack chair on top level broken * fabric on chairs by the pool is ripping and many were not usable * no drain in outdoor shower * top balcony had crack in the lower part of the railing causing it to be loose/unstable and very unsafe in a couple sections *carpet needs to go, it causes a musty odor * no backing on stairs outside by the pool, our small dog fell through* No wagon/cart for the beach as stated in listingThe worst part was that we had to clean the entire house when we got there. It was filthy! I was cleaning toothpaste spit and several hairs all over from the people before us in every bathroom. The toilets still had pee dripping down the front. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall in the upstairs king room. The fridge was not wiped out. The floors werenā€™t washed!

House was not too far from the beach and a nice walk or bike ride. House was very accommodating and had everything you would need. Layout was fantastic. No issues with any of the appliances, Ac blew ice cold, and memories were made.

Fun week at the beach

We enjoyed our stay in Corolla, the beaches are beautiful and itā€™s a great, clean area with lots to see and do. The rental house was a quick walk to the beach and we enjoyed having a pool as well. The common area and kitchen were plenty of room for our group of 7, and we enjoyed making meals and sitting around the big table. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We had a great week!!

One Particular Harbor

We enjoyed our stay with our family however the Property Management needs to do better with maintaining the owners property. The house cleaners are not cleaning very well. We had to wash all of the sheets and towels over again as they smelled like cigarettes. The bathrooms needed to be scrubbed upon entry and the floors on the top floor I had to wash. The bathroom sink in one bathroom on the second floor was clogged and the tub in the other bathroom on the second floor was clogged. The carport entry door we could not use the first day because the batteries were dead. However the one gentleman at the Management Company was very helpful and came the next morning and fixed thieve things. The air conditioning on the top floor was not working the first theee days we were there and it took the Management company until Wednesday to actually call the air conditioning company and have someone come and fix it. This was after two days of me calling them multiple times. The owner is wonderful and answered all of my emails and was very apologetic. I believe the management company either needs to be reprimanded for not doing their job and maintaining this property or the owner needs to find a more reputable company.
