Walk to everything.( NYC BUS) The cottage has an upstairs which is 1 large bedroom with a king bed. The downstairs bedroom has a daybed ( 2 twins). The living room has 2 couches, dining table, cable TV, screened french doors that opens to the woods and dutch front door opens to the patio. Full kitchen,microwave, cooking basics ( spices, teas, coffee, condiments, dishes,pots, & pans ) Newly renovated bath with travine tile & marble. Outdoor patio with propane BBQ, and dining/ sitting area.

Charming cottage in an enchanting town

The cottage was private, tucked away among the trees, with comfortable furniture and beds and a well-equipped kitchen. We had a great, relaxing time. The walk to the friendly, quirky town is inky ten minutes, and there are multiple wonderful places to eat and food coffee.

Amazing Host & Cottage

Mary is an amazing host. Absolutely loved staying in the cottage...it had everything I needed. Such a great location...just a short walk to town.

An idyllic cottage set in charming surroundings

This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Our host was lovely and made us feel welcome, putting on some complimentary snacks and drinks for our arrival. The cute cottage has everything you need and is comfortable and spacious. You feel like you are at one with nature and it is a beautiful country setting, with the convenience of being a few minutes walk to the town centre. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, thank you for a perfect trip!

Beautiful spot close to town but private and cozy.

I really enjoyed Margaret’s cottage. It was well appointed comfortable warm and clean. The King sized bed felt luxurious, plenty of hot water, the grill worked well, and I even used the fire pit. Mary was helpful. A great weekend getaway!

Cozy week-long retreat cabin

I loved the rustic 'cabin' feeling and the short walk to all things in Woodstock. We had a wonderful time exploring the town, feeling inspired, and writing. Three of us came together to co-create a project, and this was the perfect place to be. Thank you.

Wonderful cottage in great location

We loved our stay at this lovely cottage. It has everything you could want or need--comfortable beds, nice shower, fully stocked kitchen, a great location walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, and peace and quiet. Plus Mary left us a whole bunch of snacks and drinks to keep our hungry four-year-old happy. We hope to come back!

COZY, CLEAN AND FRIENDLY

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. We were greeted with snacks and a bottle of wine! Then we were treated to fresh milk for our morning coffee. You can walk to town and everything is close by! I would recommend this cottage for a weekend getaway!

Very clean, easy to find, lots of privacy

Mary was an excellent host! She provided detailed directions, the house was beautiful and clean and the welcome basket was such a nice touch! We would definitely recommend this to any couples or friends traveling to Woodstock.

Cosy cottage in the woods!

The perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet! It is a delightful cottage which suited myself, my husband and our daughter really well. The cottage is within an easy walk of all the local amenities of Woodstock. Mary had thought of everything you could possibly need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed watching all the local wildlife including red & grey squirrels, various birds including a pileated woodpecker and deer. The trees surrounding the cottage were dressed in all their autumn glory and looked splendid! A thoroughly delightful property.

Cozy cabin, walk to everything!

We had a great stay in this cozy cabin. Nice yard and close to everything. The owners are wonderful and accommodated all our requests.

8 days stay in Woodstock

Cottage is cozy and comfortable in a very quiet area, it had everything we needed during our 8 days stay. We are family of 4 adults and we had nice time. Beds were comfortable, bathroom nice and clean, grill worked well and fire pit in back yard was a treat. Mary was very helpful, welcome basket with bottle of wine and milk were a nice touch.

Outdated Cabin, Good Location

We really enjoyed the surrounding countryside! This location is perfect for nearby hiking, the reservoir, and even for the restaurants located in Woodstock. Mary is kind, but the accommodations themselves were a bit uncomfortable. The ants in the kitchen got into our food multiple times (even when we tried to seal bags). Mary gave us some vinegar to see if it would help with the ants, but unfortunately it didn't. The cabin was a bit dusty/musty. We didn't feel comfortable with our little one rolling around. On the plus side, Mary left a welcome basket and some wine, and the king bed was VERY comfortable! Would look for a different place next time.

Clean, cozy, convenient

This was a great find in the village of Woodstock. The house is clean, nicely decorated, set-up well and offered everything we needed. We stayed with our 3.5 year-old son so had that extra consideration of flow and set-up and this house worked. We had our son stay up in the master room with us but there is also a second bedroom on the ground floor. There is a small yard, books, and toys. The gracious host even left goodies and provided sleds for us. We are happy to discover this new option for our frequent visits to the area and definitely recommend it!

Super clean and cozy cottage!

We stayed in this quaint cottage for two days after Christmas. This home was just a short walk from town but still felt somewhat secluded as it was surrounded by trees. When we arrived Mary (the owner) was very hospitable, providing us with a complimentary bottle of wine, sparkling water, fresh fruit and snacks, and a bottle of farm fresh milk! There were fresh flowers throughout as well. The bed linens and towels were hotel quality and very clean. The master bedroom was big and bright with a very comfortable bed and tranquil views. We were all very comfortable there and will absolutely stay there again!!!

Such a cute house, and well-stocked!

Our family of four had a lovely time in this cottage. The little garden is very cute and lit up at night in an adorable way. The kitchen was stocked with milk, coffee and snacks, which made life very easy. The bathroom had shampoo, soap and conditioner. The upstairs master bedroom is really pretty and large. Lots of natural light. The central room of the cottage is quaint and cute, and though it's dark, we didn't mind. The vibe was cozy. This place is easy walking distance to the town of Woodstock, so we didn't have to do much driving after our trip up here, which I really appreciated. We loved eating at Woodstock's Tinker Taco place in the evening: it had a bar, great food, and seats by the stream. The house also has maps, brochures, books, magazines and beach towels. Everything was super clean and easy to find. Thanks for a great stay.

We felt at home and comfortable instantly !

We had a great time at Mary's accommodating cottage. It has EVERYTHING (there was even garlic in the fridge for stirfries with the available local produce).It is convenient not to have to bring along all that you need. Very close (walking distance)to this nice little town and we were able to do so much in our week there, we hiked Overlook MT. and Echo Lake; Cooper Lake; a trail ride at Mohonk MT. House in the Shawangunks ; Opus 40 is incredible; the town flea market is fun; Saugerties and their lighthouse was interesting; Olana in Hudson was great ; we did not lose any weight as the restaurants all were calling, but we also cooked some meals as the kitchen had all we needed to do so; we also did some RELAXING as time does not pass too quickly in Woodstock ! I also suspect if whatever you need is not in the cottage Mary will help you out with that as she is truly a sweet spirit. The kids are asking when we will return, there is so much more to do. Thank you for the wonderful memories, Mary. Love........just us graneys

Wonderful stay with my family

I stayed at Margaret's Cottage over Easter weekend and had a wonderful experience. The cottage was spacious, clean and had many nice amenities. It was on a quiet street within walking distance to town, which was very convenient. Mary left a basket of snacks and drinks for us upon our arrival. There was also a cabinet of balls and games that my toddler loved playing with all weekend. There was a private front and backyard area with seating where we could sit outside and enjoy the weather and birds coming to the feeders. We would love to go back and stay again.

Comfortable Cottage!

We picked this cottage because of its proximity to the restaurants/shops in the heart of Woodstock. Unfortunately it was way too cold during this February weekend to walk anywhere (-8 this weekend in NY!). We ended up staying in the cottage a lot more than we planned and it was wonderful, warm, inviting, well-stocked with games, tv, spices in the kitchen, etc. We cooked while we were there and had plenty of space for a family of 4 (2 teenagers loved it too). Upon arrival, we were greeted with wine, sparkling water and snacks (which helped with our decision to stay inside most of the time). The bathroom was very warm and well stocked with enough towels and the king bed upstairs was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Thank you Mary! We will be booking again when it's warmer to take advantage of the walking distance to Woodstock.

Comfortable,with great location and friendly and welcoming host

We had a great week in Woodstock and Mary made us feel very welcome and provided lots of those extra, thoughtful touches that you don't get in many holiday rentals (as well a a very nice welcome pack, the kitchen was well supplied and nice toiletries were provided). The cottage location made it easy to walk into Woodstock and we saw two deer and several red squirrels in the woods just behind the cottage. Mary also suggested a couple of nice walks which we enjoyed and it was a very relaxing week after our previous week in New York. We would certainly recommend this cottage for a comfortable, relaxing break

CUTE,COMFY AND MORE THAN ADEQUATE!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The kitchen was well stocked with just the right spices, herbal teas, coffee and fresh milk right from a nearby farm. Having a king size bed was definitely a nice bonus, not to mention the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Two very nice outdoor spaces to relax in...we saw a deer and lots of birds and squirrels. Close to town, so walking anywhere was a breeze. We travel often and stay in lots of vacation rentals. The owner really takes pride in her rental and it shows. This one is tops on our list! We will likely be back!

AMAZINGLY RELAXING, CLEAN & COZY

We just recently stayed at Margaret's Cottage and could not ask for anything more!! Super cozy cottage that is walking distance to Woodstock Town Center. There was wonderful information provided about local hiking, dining and activities. Very clean and comfortable complete with full kitchen, BBQ and backyard fire pit. There was even a welcome basket with fun goodies, what a great spot! We would recommend to anyone and everyone!

My Mother worked in "Deanies Restaurant" for more than 30 years & like so many Woodstockers was a colorful, beloved character,when I was a teenager she brought home autographs from Paul Butterfield, The Band & the most treasured Jimmy Hendrix
