This condo is part of a small cluster of about 70 units. The grounds are perfectly maintained, and include a pool/hot tub/grills. The condo overlooks SeaMountain Golf Course,** the SeaMountain golf course is closed until further notice**. About a 5-10 minute walk lies the Punaluu Black Sand Beach, which is a nesting ground for the Green Sea Turtle. Every day it is almost guaranteed to see one or more sunning themselves on the sand. The Volcanoes National Park is an easy 30 minute drive up the road.
The condo itself has been completely renovated, with new furniture, stairs, bed, etc.

Fantastic place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights. Had a fantastic time. Kitchen was well equipped and the pool and hot tub were dreamy. Quaint but perfect for ending an adventure in Hawaii. Host fantastic!

Location was key, due to a family function at Punalu'u Beach.

Exactly what we needed for our short stay out that side of the island, more of a convenience trip for me and my family and it worked out perfectly, thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home, we'd definitely go there again.

Nice condo

Good location near the far end of the complex. Good access to the National park and other places to walk. And, only a 15 minute walk to the Punaluu black sand beach. Good view of the ocean from the lanai.

Good Getaway spot

I enjoyed my staycation! Needs a little work like the sliding door and windows in the bedroom area does not open! Other then that everything was perfect!

Turtles and volcanoes

We had a cozy stay. It was unusually rainy during our visit, but still enjoyed the pleasant surroundings. We saw turtles every time we stopped at the black sand beach. We enjoyed visiting the volcanoes National park several days. Kitchen included some basic spices which was nice. We liked the pool and the view from it. Quite an enjoyable stay for myself and 2 children age 7 and 8. Mahalo for sharing your home.

Best unit in complex

The condo is located in the back of property with the porch facing the ocean. It’s quiet and clean. The unit is well stocked with everything you will need. We stayed at several other units. This is one of the better units. It’s close to the registration box, laundry and recycling area. Sam was responsive. It was easy to check in and out. I would rent this unit again.

Very quiet and private.

Very impressed with the unite. Very organized and clean. Compared to others we stayed at hopefully we can stay there again when we do go back there. But there's one thing I hope they would change is the pillows. Its all flat and it gives me a headache and pain in the neck. Other then that its all good. :-))

Interesting place

The place is a nice location to explore both the Southernmost part of the island and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The area is kind of strange, as it appears that there used to be some sort of resort (abandoned) and a golf course (abandoned). The only thing that's left in this area is this condo complex and the beautiful black sand beach (fantastic). Wake up early to catch the sunrise. The condo itself was fine and the lanai was great for eating dinner and breakfast. The pool was very cold and the clientele that were there, at the time, kept swearing around my 6 year-old, but that could've been an anomaly.

Newly renovated when?

This is a really tiny space and saying that four people could use would be really tight. I'm not sure what was renovated, but everything was a bit worn (expecially the mattresses!) It really felt like staying at your cousin's house rather than a VRBO -- the towels didn't match, the counters were full of coffee makers, and toasters and there wasnt anywhere to put your stuff. This is a really nice property but it is in the middle of NOWHERE! An hour drive to the nearest real grocery store or restaurant.

I was given the lock box code for the unit FRIDAY afternoon. I arrived around 6 pm. Got into the unit w no problems. Sunday the day of checking out the cleaning lady arrived early which she was surprised to see anyone in the unit because she claimed no one told her anything that anyone was staying there. So I was about to leave and she asked to come in so I let her in while I was leaving. I explained to her that I did booked this rental on VRBO app and she was still on shock that someone was was there. There must have miscommunication there. But other then. That it was ok to stay there.

A distance from both airports, but close to the Volcano National Park. Walking distance to black sand beach. Good snorkeling. Last day, around noon, we saw 8 sea turtles on land and in water. Nenes, the endangered Hawaiian birds are seen on the road to the condo. Drive slowly.

Cool Condo on Lower Level

More like a townhouse. Bedroom separated from living room by curtain, which was fine since it was just a couple staying there. Walkable to black sand beach, and beach towels provided. Small kitchen, but had everything we needed including a few condiments in the fridge. Wish it had AC, but it was cool enough at night that we made it work with the fans provided. Nice back porch with lawn area. Lots of geckos! BBQs available in pool area. Has a spa, but was closed due to COVID. Sits on a golf course that was closed several years ago, but you could still go out and hit some balls on the course! (Golf clubs in closet - didn't use, but looked decent.)

Beautiful space

This is such a cool little community in the south of Hawaii- beautiful grounds and near some spots that we otherwise wouldn’t have found if we hadn’t chose to be over in this area, the space was very comfortable and cozy for us after a day of exploring

Clean and well renovated

We stayed here for a week, and it was a great base from which to explore the southern end of the island. Within 30 minutes of Volcano Park, South Point, Black Sands Beach, Green Sands Beach, Mauna Loa Road, and more. Though we only communicated via email, Sam was super helpful and friendly. After telling him I liked hiking, he wrote up directions with a map to some of the nearby hikes. He also sent us a comprehensive list of things to see on the island which made our planning so much easier. The complex was really nicely set up. It had a good sized hot tub and a medium sized pool, which was a great way to end our day after exploring the area. If we're in the area again, we would definitely return!

Well placed from black sand beach

This place is very well situated near the Blacksand beach and also pretty near the Volcano national Park. The complex is very well-maintained .
