Come and enjoy our charming 1920’s era, just renovated, 1-bedroom carriage house with off street private parking. Original artwork adorns the walls for a warm and homelike feel and the ample living area and dining room provide an open and inviting atmosphere. .
Private parties or unannounced guests are not allowed. If you want to invite outside guests you must arrange it with the owner.
Amenities: Stearns & Foster pillow-top king bed, two panel tv’s (living room and bedroom--HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX, STARZ, ENCORE), full kitchen with full size side-by-side fridge with ice maker, coffee pot, microwave, dining area and a large easy access step in shower.

Very charming and relaxing property

This is a really great couples getaway. Whether you use the pool or not (which is gorgeous) the courtyard is large, plenty of tables and umbrella and cook out area. The plants and decor of the yard were beautiful and the host is equally charming and available. The last place we stayed at in SA did not have off street parking, so that makes this property a real plus. The carriage house is very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location

We had a great stay in San Antonio. The best location to Alamo and Riverwalk in quiet neighborhood. Owners were so friendly and apartment was very comfortable. But be warned that this property is a work in progress. Painters and carpenters working on big house and upstairs apartment did not bother us at all since we went sightseeing all day. Will be really nice when done and grounds are cleaned up.

San Antonio Stay

Great communication with the owners. Very easy to find, was greeted by Brett and shown around. Great location, just a 5 minute drive to downtown and convenient to most of the attractions in San Antonio. Small place but has everything you need. The only word of warning, no bedroom door. The couch is very close and we traveled with our 13-year old son, so not very private.

The AFB was close as well as the Riverwalk. The beds weee comfortable but all in all the house is very old and could use a good deep cleaning. Brett was good to work with as our tv was not working. Would stay again if it was throughly cleaned. Bathroom toilet seats all slipped.

Perfect for us

This was our very first stay at a VRBO & it was perfect! Brett is an amazing host & his property checked all the boxes for us: pet-friendly & able to accommodate parking of our Class B RV. The location was close for Lyft & the pool was an added bonus. The bed was comfortable and the AC was great for the hot humid weather that we encountered. The kitchen had all the basics if you wanted to cook along with some items in the refrigerator & on the counter. There were two sets of washers/dryers available for use without charge. The Carriage House is comfortable and very clean with a nice shared yard area that was perfect for our dog. I would stay here again & would recommend this homey property that is priced right without hesitation. Brett, thank you for making us feel at home!

Best place in San Antonio for an adult couple.

This quaint old house is right in the middle of the city. It's 10 minutes from the River Walk and downtown, 10 minutes to the zoo, the downtown market, grocery stores, shopping, and you can be on I-35, 410, I-37, I-10 or 281 in minutes. Just the right size, wonderful layout, a pool a nice stone patio, fully fenced and dog friendly, several outdoor coking options and, did I mention, a pool. I was there when it was finished and, I believe, was the first person to get in. The owner lives on site and did most of the work on the apartments himself. There are two one-bedroom options and one two-bedroom space. He's extremely friendly and has a million stories. Don't be surprised if he steps out on the patio for coffee in the morning. I'll never stay anywhere else when in SA.

Amazing place

Our 3 nights here were amazing. We actually picked Brett’s place because of all the great reviews. There isn’t anything negative I can say about his place, the only thing and it’s a very small thing is there wasn’t room in the bathroom for me to do makeup and hair but I just used the mirror and plugs in the living room. The place was clean, had plenty of towels, plenty of pots and pans, even though we didn’t cook anything there, sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. We arrived early on Friday and he allowed us to check in early, we had the pool all to ourselves the two days we did stop to enjoy it. One thing you should know is if your planning to go to the river walk, DO NOT DRIVE, call UBER or LYFT, parking is hard to find. We only seen Brett a hand full of times but he was very friendly all times and answered any questions we had. Oh and one other thing, if your hot natured as I am, you might want to bring a fan. The window unit in the bedroom works great for the hubby but I stay hot. We will for sure be staying here the next trip to San Antonio. Thank you Brett for your hospitality. We love your place.

20 year anniversary

A wonderful, peaceful place with ease to I10 and 35. Pool and outside area was great. We were fortunate to have it to ourselves but plenty of room to share pool area if needed. Brett, the owner was kind and easy to get in contact with. We would stay agai!n and probably will as we did not get to go downtown due to riots. We still had plenty to do.

Something Old and Something New

Brett has taken an old property and updated the kitchen and bath. We stayed in a two bedroom unit as the one bedroom unit was being remodeled. If you're looking for a shiny new place you should go elsewhere. The kitchen has been updated with new countertops and an island. There's a microwave and a new French door refrigerator. Ample dishes and cook ware were provided. Brett had cooking staples in the cabinets. The bathroom had also been updated with new floors and vanity. It also offered the largest claw foot bath tub I've ever seen and was very comfortable. The living room and kitchen had original wood floors to add to the Southern charm. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Perhaps the coolest features were outside around the pool. Although it was too cool to swim, the area was gorgeous by night and a breath of Spring in the daytime. A few flowers were blooming giving us hope for an early Spring in Iowa. The unit is pet friendly. It had no odor of any type. Pet friendly rentals are few and far between. Brett's place was cleaner than our own home. It was very reasonable and offered everything we needed. We highly recommend Brett's property if you're looking for a calm and relaxing safe haven. Thanks again Brett! Scott and Melissa

Nice place for the money

It is a very nice little apartment for the money. Very clean and comfortable. The only thing that could have been better is if it had electrical outlets and a real door in the bathroom. But overal very good!

Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Easy check-in & out. Very comfortable king size bed. Brett accommodated our dog staying with us. The property had everything we needed including easy parking. The only thing I think needs improvement is the bathroom door. A solid door that closes completely would provide more privacy than the current bi-fold louvered door. Thanks for everything Brett!

Very comfortable

Nice, relaxing place to stay. Really nice for pets as there is a fenced in area that my dog was able to run around and exercise in. The pool is lovely! Brett is very accommodating, and answers promptly. He even allowed us to check in early so we wouldn't be sitting bored at our hotel.

Wonderful Stay

So we rented this little casita as our home base for a four day weekend. What we didn’t realize is the owner and his caste of friends are super cool and inviting. We weren’t able to hang out with them at the pool but we will make another trip without any extra plans and just stay at the rental. Great space for our dog and a wonderful host.

Ideal place to stay in San Antonia.

I can’t say enough about how delightful Brett’s place is for lodging in San Antonio. This family atmosphere and pet-friendly place with the perfect pool is at the top of my list as one of my best vacations spots for future trips. The carriage house apartment had everything I needed. Brett and manager host Clay were stellar in hospitality. Amenities were perfect.

Rustic Charm

I missed Brett's detailed message on my arrival information due to not checking my email but he was available and helpful and we quickly made ourselves comfortable. The place had a certain rustic comfortable charm. All the basics were provided and even though it was cool out I managed a dip in the pool. The patio area was comfortable and we enjoyed the birds and squirrels. The bed was super comfortable and the A/C heat and overhead fan all worked great. The laundry facility was fantastic!! Had we have needed anything I am sure Brett would have made it available but we didn't find ourselves requiring anything. Lots of good channels, and relaxing evenings. Thanks Brett!!

Great value and location with charming setting

This place was perfect for our small family. It is centrally located with a $10 Uber trip to anyplace you want to go. You can tell it is an older property but that adds to its charm. The outdoor area and pool are wonderful, especially at night. The owner and associates were super friendly and helpful during the whole trip! They even offered to pick us up groceries. We'll be back!

Just what we needed

The property was perfect for what we needed it for. Good location, close drive to Pearl district. Best advice was to take Uber to go to the Riverwalk, it's definitely the way to go. Brett was very nice and accommodating, making sure we had what we needed. The kitchen was fine for us, but if you are planning to do a of meal prep, it is small and has only a few pots/pans, bowls, etc. available. Bed was very comfy and bathroom was fine - but lacking counterspace and outlets. Although we didn't go in the pool it was great just to sit and relax by it. Thanks Brett!
