Stunning 4000 square foot Private Lodge on the end of a peninsula! Rent weekly Saturday to Saturday in the Summer. Water on three sides. Relax and enjoy, with 685 feet of shoreline with 3 private docks. Two master suites plus two additional bedrooms, all with bathrooms, all on main level. Wrap around deck with LEVEL LOT on Sand Bottom Lake. Have a peaceful private getaway, enjoy and entertain your entire family without leaving this magnificent home.

Louisiana Pacific Corporation originally built this lodge for its visiting executives. This home has all of the comforts your family needs to enjoy your vacation.

Bring your boat for fishing, a speedboat for Waterskiing, rent a pontoon boat for relaxing, or just stay on the deck and enjoy the view. Relax on the deck, while others can fish off the docks, swim or play yard games. You may use our 4 kayaks, paddle boat and our14-foot aluminum boat.

Park up to 5 cars on our property and two boat trailers. We do not allow RV’s or campers or tents. We have 4 bedrooms with beds for 14 and a futon for one or two kids.

Lake Hayward and the Namekagon River are part of the National Scenic Waterway.
Have a private get away while still close to town with a lot of other activities for families.

Stunning lake house!

We stayed at the lake house with our extended family for an end of the summer hoorah. It was the perfect week! House was beautiful, spacious, and fit our needs perfectly. The yard and lake view were wonderful. Having access to kayaks, rowboat, pontoon, water toys, etc, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Would recommend 10/10!

There are not enough adjectives to describe how wonderful this Lodge is. Everything you need for an incredible time is provided. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality pots and pans, cooking utensils, serving dishes and platters. There is even a large griddle for pancakes. There is plenty of room to spread out and also gather. The views are on all sides. No matter where you look there is lake view. Three docks are great for fishing. The basement game room is a perfect place for the kids to hang out. The beds are very comfy and there is plenty of extra linens and blankets to make it cozy. The outside deck is expansive. There is so much to do nearby and if you wanted to walk to it you can. Check in was smooth and the place was super clean and well-maintained. The wet bar in the living room is stocked with all the barware for any drinks including a martini shaker, wine opener, koozies, and blender. We loved it so much we booked again for next summer. The owners are fabulous and very accomodating.

Family vacation

We had our multi-generational family vacation trip planned for fun, swimming, fishing, kayaking and pontoon rides!! This beautiful home did not disappoint!! There were 3 docks for fishing and one main dock for kids to jump in, splash, swim and have fun!! There was a fish cleaning shed for all the fish caught!! This home was very accommodating w a well stocked kitchen, large table for enjoying meals together and lots of space to snuggle grandchildren at night. I cannot say one negative except we could have stayed longer!! Our hosts were very helpful and wonderful ! We definitely would visit again!!

Grandma's and Grandpa's Week With Moms and Dads and the Wee Ones

The Lodge is very roomy and a very nice environment. We used all 4 bedrooms on the main floor. Living room, dining room, and kitchen were large and very usable for the 6 adults and two toddlers. There is more than enough room for the toddlers to do their separate activities. The kitchen was very well equipped. I didn't need the two baskets of kitchen equipment I brought with me.The range has an induction stove top so our aluminum pans didn't work anyway!We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, loon calls, blue herons, and the occasional sunning snapping turtle.We waded in the water by the dock but the water was high and so the sand beach was underwater. But there is a public beach nearby with plenty of sand for the kids.

Grandkids time

We truly enjoyed our week in Hayward. The cottage was perfect for our family. The grandchildren enjoyed staying in the ‘loony bin’ room and having access to the basement game room. The property was perfect for everyone. Lots of fun was had on the deck and on the pontoon. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and the paddleboard. Hope to be able to use these facilities again in the future.

Multigeneration family vacation was great thanks to a fantastic home including 4 bathrooms! The deck, yard, and docks were set up perfectly! Plenty of seating in dining and living room, and deck. Even the firepit was stocked with benches and wood! So many nice little touches everywhere you looked. Grandchildren had a blast swimming and the older 3 ages 4, 6, 7 all caught fish off the dock. We hope to stay here again next summer! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Amazing property with wonderful owners

We are a two families with kids, parents and a grandparent (total of 10 people). This house was perfect for our needs and would also be comfortable for a larger group. There was so much to do at the house - fishing, boating, swimming, playing games, and so much more. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Family time at Lake Hayward!

This was the perfect family gathering spot on the lake. The house worked perfectly for 3 families with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The large living room was comfortable with space for everyone. We all enjoyed fishing from any of the three docks and cruised the lake on the pontoon boat. Our hosts were so hospitable and provided more supplies than we needed. If you're looking for a place to relax to enjoy family in a comfortable and beautiful setting...this is it!

Perfect for a four generational vacation.

Ages 3 to 96 years greatly enjoyed a 1 week stay. The setting, layout and proximity to grocery shopping were perfect. Very comfortable and well equipped for our group of 8 to 12 staying over with 4 to 6 people visiting from another lakeside rental. The kayaks, rowboat and pontoon boat were great as were the numerous indoor and outdoor games. The large grill in back and smaller grill in front were great for burgers, brats, salmon. Great communication with owners. Avid fishermen might be disappointed. Some of us were plagued by bites from unseen insects?? Chiggers. Overall, a great experience hopefully to be repeated next year.

We had a very enjoyable time.

This "cabin" has all the amenities available. It was nice to have the paddle boat and kayaks included. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We rented the pontoon which was a huge plus. Our family all had a great time.

Excellent stay in Hayward

Lake Point Lodge (the name on Google Maps) is a great place for a large family gathering. The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a rec room with a futon. The large lakefront deck is a perfect place to gather. The house is clean and well maintained. The owners live in the Hayward area and are readily available for questions. While there are kayaks and a row boat available, they also offered rental of a pontoon boat at a reasonable price. Lake Hayward is not the biggest lake in the area, it was sufficient for our needs. In addition the Namekogan River offers excellent kayaking. We hope to return. in 2024.

Perfect home for our family vacation! Caught lots of fish and kids stayed busy all week long playing bags, going kayaking and paddle boating. Being able to rent the pontoon for the week was an added bonus!

Bachelor party

We had 9 guests stay over the Fourth of July and it was an amazing trip. Close to town, whole peninsula to ourselves for swimming and fishing. The hosts provided fun games outside and cleanliness throughout property. Would definitely book again!

Awsome family together time vacation before college & school teaching, trade school and new jobs

This was absolutely the family get-together vacation that I have been dreaming of!! The house was absolutely perfect for us. We had so much fun paddle boating, kiacking(?) etc and our grandsons caught many big northerns and bass which made them very happy. The house is furnished with everything imaginable--we brought lots of things we would not have had to cuz they were provided. Our time here together was definitely worth every penny spent. Thank you so much for providing a place where we created so many awesome memories ❤

Great location for a great family vacation!

We were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and she wanted a place on a lake large enough for our entire family (2 of us, 4 kids, 2 spouses, 2 granddaughters under 2). I found this place, read the reviews, and it was everything that had been advertised and more. The hosts were fantastic, the home was perfect for our needs, the location and amenities were spot on.

Lake Point Lodge

We had a great week in Hayward. The house was very clean and everything that we needed was on site. Fishing wasn't very good but there were a couple of cold fronts that came through, which makes fishing a lot tougher. The water was cold so the kids didn't spend a lot of time swimming. The only drawback to this location is the proximity to town. If you are looking for a true "Northwoods" experience, then this probably isn't the place for you. The National Lumberjack Championship was in Hayward the week that we stayed, and that is held on Lake Hayward. There was constant sirens all week, as well as car alarms going off and engines revving. Not what I think of when I go to the Northwoods. If you like convenience to town, then this is the perfect place for you. Overall, we had a great week and highly recommend this property.

The best family vacation!

We had the most incredible time at Lake Point Lodge. Our group ranged in age from 5 to 70 with four families and the house was perfect for everyone. We all commented that this was the cleanest, well stocked, perfectly located property. Just a couple minutes from town (kids rode their scooters there), groceries, shopping, restaurants and activities were all within a 5 minute drive. We loved the kayaks, paddle boat, fishing off the dock (the middle dock was the best for fishing), swimming and just enjoying our time together as family while each having our own spacious bedroom and bathroom. Lee and Mary Jo were quick to reply with any questions. If you’re looking for a beautiful house on a quiet lake with lots of space, this is it! We hope to come back!

Great house and location.

Family had a great time. House fit us perfectly. Everything on one level, flat walk down to lake. great privacy in back yard. Walk to town. Kitchen had everything we needed which is a first for us in 20 years of vacation house rentals. Kayaks were a big hit.

Gorgeous property and setting

If I could give this property more than 5 stars, I would! It is absolutely gorgeous! Located at the end of a peninsula, it is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Location is fabulous, with main street being just over a mile away, a quick 5 minute drive. Lots of amenities which we took advantage of. Played croquet, bocce ball and cornhole. Our toddler grandchild loved being taken for rides on the paddle boat, and the adult children liked the kayaks. The spacious bedrooms (each with their own bathroom) gave each family their own space. Can't say enough good things about this place!
