THIS PROPERTY IS MONITORED, OUTSIDE ONLY, BY A RING DOORBELL CAMERA, This early 1800's farmhouse is surrounded by vineyards and a breathtaking view of Lake Erie. Arwen Farms is a family owned and operated, fourth generation grape farm, in the heart of New York's, beautiful Chautauqua County Grape Country. Whether you are looking for summer fun like boating, wine trails, scenic trail riding and fishing or winter activities like skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, you'll find it here in Ripley, NY. A trip to Niagara Falls, museums, professional sporting events, shopping, or spending the day at a water park, amusement park, or state park: it's an easy drive from here. Or you can just kick back and relax at the fire pit and enjoy our amazing sunsets over Lake Erie.
Our rental comes fully furnished, all you need to bring are your personal items and your food. This is a country location with spring water, we have added a whole house ultra-violet water treatment system.

Wonderful, very clean, comfy home! Perfect for a girls' weekend! The bed was very comfortable, the house was lovely, and the views were amazing. We had nice fires every evening, and the owner provided ample firewood. Would love to go back for a meteorite shower! The only thing I disliked was the electric stove; it wasn't the owner's fault, just a personal preference of mine.

It was the perfect location for our Niagara Falls excursion. We wanted to be close but not in the city. It was a little more than an hour drive, and the views and the drive was beautiful!

Annual Visit

Always a pleasure. Was surprised to see the new residence on the hill. We stayed at your other rental last year. Seemed a little close...we are used to "no neighbors" that we can see...lol. It did feel a little awkward. Everthing else was as usual. Thanks!

Farmhouse

Absolutely loved staying at the farmhouse and the working farm. The farm house was absolutely spotless, and verrrry roomy! Sooooo enjoyed the vineyards, the lake view ( and sunsets) saw deer etc.....The peace and quiet was amazing.....Definitely a place to unwind. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much for sharing your farm!

Gorgeous View

The property was private and quiet. Everything we needed was available to us. The view was one of a kind. Lake Erie is way off in the distance where you cannot see waves but the view was out of this world. The brilliant blue of the distant water blended beautifully with the vineyards all around the area where the house is located.

Grape Harvest Weekend

Great stay! Clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated for the homestead type house. Property is quaint and private. Oh, and the grapes surrounding the property! Sat on the porch every morning and enjoyed my coffee. Perfect trip!

Relaxing and fishing

Once again we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Homestead House. The location of the house is quiet and relaxing the house itself is very roomy and was very clean and welcoming We will definitely be booking another trip. If fishing is what your there for there are 2 main launches ( Barcelona and North West ) less than 15 min away.

Amazing weekend stay

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The house and property set the mood for a girls wine weekend. The charm of the 1800s house with vineyards, an old barn and tree swing. It's proximity to the wineries, distilleries and lake Erie was amazing. Everything was only minutes away. We can't wait to come back and just escape for another long weekend

Scenic and cozy

This house had everything we needed and more. There was ample space and comfortable seating and beds. I appreciated the supplies in the kitchen like measuring cups, whisk, baking pans etc… and the toys for the kids. The house is nestled within miles and miles of vineyards and there’s a lovely view of Lake Erie (10 mins away) which is enormous! We enjoyed the fire pit too. It was a very nice stay. Thank you!

Great communication! Promptly set up our toddler bed the morning of our arrival. The place is a great old house with plenty of personal touches and well thought out amenities. Right in the middle of a vineyard, it has a great farmhouse atmosphere. Exactly what we were looking for.

Property was very nice and well situated for a wine tour weekend. Older farm house but very clean and charming. Beautiful view of the lake. Only negative was having to figure out how to dispose of our garbage.
