We are proposing a beautiful duplex flat on the first floor of a XIX century private mansion, in the heart of the historical district of Tours. Both ancient and contemporary furniture. 3 bedrooms : 1 queen-size bed with electrical mattress (160 x 200), 1 queen-size bed (160 x 200) and 2 single beds (90x200). A bathroom and a shower room.
An ideal location to discover the multiple treasures and attractions of the city.
In a beautiful enclosed ornamental garden, an old ginkgo biloba, listed in the preservation city registers, brings shade and serenity to the mansion. Enjoy the peaceful garden and the private terrace.

Great location

Stayed for the month of September 2023. Apartment is within easy walking distance to the train station and the old town. The hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much using it as a base for touring the Loire Valley by train or car.

Great location

Had a wonderful stay....was perfect set up for our family with the two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. There were no screens on the windows which gave us pause, but there was no problem with bugs when we had windows open. We felt like we had so much space in this what we would call a lovely old small mansion. It was so quiet at night and felt so safe. Loved eating outside on the patio and then also at the table under the roof out in the yard. Would stay here again!

"Our experience have been perfect: the apartment is beautiful and fully equiped, very well placed in Tours, near the tourism office , the cathedral, and also near the main output of the city to the main tourist places. It is very quiet with a beautiful garden. We wants to thanks also the kind and wonderful care of the lady that manages the apartment. Apartamento totalmente recomendable en Tours, cerca de la catedral, la oficina de turismo, y la salida a los principales puntos turisticos del Loire. Wonderful apartment with great location in Tours!

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for the month of July 2023. Though we experienced travel delays, Claire made sure we were greeted and shown the apartment. The 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms worked well with us, as well as our guests that stayed with us. I especially liked the en-suite master bedroom with plenty of clothes storage. The kitchen was well stocked with staples and had very good appliances. It was also very handy having a clothes washer and separate clothes dryer in the apartment. The landscaping outside the apartment was also very nice, with several different sitting locations. The apartment is in an excellent location, just around the corner from the Travel Information center and the train station. There were several farmer's markets available in the area to pick up fresh produce, cheese, meat, bread, etc. Many good restaurants were also within walking distance. We were able to use the apartment as a base to tour surrounding areas, as well. All in all, we had an excellent stay and would recommend it with no reservations. Thank you, Claire!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, das ungestörte abendliche Essen im Garten im Familienkreis ist noch in bester Erinnerung. Die im Untergeschoß befindliche Küche ist gut ausgestattet und bietet ausreichend Platz für Vorräte.Trotz Innenstadtlage ist es erstaunlich ruhig.Zur Erholung hat auch die etwas verschachtelte Wohnung beigetragen; das von den Eltern genutzte Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Betten ist durch einen Vorraum von der restlichen Wohnung abgetrennt. Das häufige Treppensteigen zwischen den beiden Etagen unterstützt die Fitness.Den angebotenen Parkplatz im Parkhaus am Bahnhof haben wir nicht genutzt - die Zufahrt in das Untergeschoß war uns für unser grosses Fahrzeug etwas zu eng und damit zu riskant.

Perfekter Urlaub

Wir haben 5 Wochen in dieser Ferienwohnung verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Claire war super einfach und Claire war immer in Kontakt. Die Wohnung ist ideal gelegen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie einige Bäckerein befinden sich in der Nähe und die Altstadt ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Die Größe und Raumaufteilung war für uns perfekt. Der große Garten war ein absolutes Highlight. Zum Sonnenbaden sind Liegen vorhanden, sowie Tische und Stühle, um draußen zu frühstücken oder den Apero zu nehmen und zu essen. Für uns war es ein sehr gelungener Urlaub. Wir können diese Ferienwohnung nur empfehlen bedanken uns nochmals ganz herzlich bei Claire.

Sehr ruhige und dennoch zentrale Lage, sehr gut eingerichtet. Sauber und grosszügige Zimmer. Privatparkplatz ist etwas weit weg von der Wohnung.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement à proximité des centres d'intérêts de Tours et des environs ( châteaux de la Loire etc... Nous avons pu disposer d'une cour intérieure très agréable pour nos soirées.

Un espace vert en centre ville.

Très bien située: proximité du centre ville Spacieuse et confortable, parfaite pour 6 personnes Jouissance d' un agréable terrain d'environ 1000mètres carrés, avec une terrasse pour déjeuner et même un espace pour jouer à la pétanque.

Un très bel endroit

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à cinq adultes dans cette belle propriété calme et à deux pas du centre ville de Tours. Les prestations étaient impeccables (propreté, accueil, équipement, décoration, literie...), le logement sur deux niveaux très spacieux et nous sommes tombés sous le charme de la région d'une richesse culturelle et historique incroyable : châteaux extraordinaires, ballades en vélo le long du Cher, zoo de Beauval, dégustation de vins...

Wonderful Apartment

The Apartment is wonderful and comfortable, with large Windows - very spacious for 4 persons and equipped with everything you need for your stay. We also loved the neighborhood, Everything is close by, like bakery, Restaurants, Supermarkets and the Training Station. Véronique, the owner was an amazing Host. She was very kind and helpful. Overall, we highly recommend this Apartment. We would definitely stay here again. Merci beaucoup Véronique !

Excellent séjour à Ginkgo

Nous avons passés 2 mois dans ce gite. Ce lieu est unique par son emplacement en plein centre de Tours, avec un jardin exceptionnel. Bienque la propriété soit partagée avec d'autres locataires, il n'y a aucune gêne de voisinage et l'environnement est très calme. Le gite est parfaitement équipé, et très bien agencé. Mme Arnaud est très acceuillante et bienveillante. Elle est aussi extremement réactive pour apporter des solutions sur le logement. Je ne pense pas qu'il existe d'autres logements équivalents sur Tours avec cette qualité d'hébergement et sa situation. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce passage dans cet endroit.

Merci mille fois pour votre très gentille appréciation dont je vous remercie. J'ai été très heureuse de votre passage au "ginkgo" qui s'est parfaitement bien passé. J'ai retrouvé l'appartement très propre et super bien rangé, mieux rangé même que je ne l'avais fait moi-même auparavant. Une famille dynamique et agréable que je conseillerais à tous, si l'occasion se présentait, d'accueillir chez eux avec le plus grand plaisir.

A perfect base for exploring Tours/ Loire Valley

We loved the spacious, beautifully decorated and well-appointed apartment which is within easy walking distance of all of Tours attractions, tourist office, station, restaurants and shopping. Having such a lovely garden was a bonus, especially being able to sit out in the gazebo on warm days.Veronique was a very helpful and generous host and we recommend Ginkgo as the ideal place to stay in Tours.

location de très grande qualité

les description et photos de la location étaient tout à fait conformes à la réalité nous l'avons trouvé en excellent état, très bien équipée, avec un joli ameublement la propriétaire a été très soucieuse de bien nous accueillir et elle nous a mis à disposition documentation, conseils pour les commerces de proximité et guides de la région très récents l'office du tourisme est tout près ainsi que le centre ville qui est superbe à visiter le gite donne sur le jardin de la maison qui se trouve elle même dans une petite rue, nous avons bien eu le calme promis dans l'annonce nous recommandons cette location de très grande qualité avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme

Comme chez soi

Idéalement situé à moins de cinq minutes à pied de la gare ferroviaire et de la gare routière, l'appartement est particulièrement bien équipé. On se sent bien dans ce grand appartement tout en lumière. C'est un endroit paisible, pourvu d'un beau jardin et à l'abri des bruits de la ville. Nous y avons été accueillis chaleureusement. La magie des lieux nous a fait apprécier Tours et ses habitants plus que toute autre destination dans ce voyage. Nous y reviendrons sûrement!

Gorgeous!

We stayed in this beautiful 18th century building last year for 2 weeks with our two small children. At the time one was 5 and the other was nearly 2. It was not the Gingko apartment however we are hoping to return there this year as it was such a good experience. The landlady was grand. She spoke English and showed us around and was very straightforward. We stayed in the apartment on the first floor. The building was warm (the weather was dreadful, it bucketed down for most of the 2 weeks so this was very much appreciated), well equipped and everything worked. The walled gardens were just brilliant. They are very large with a big grassy area that meant we could allow our little ones to run around freely. There is also a gazebo with chairs etc and space for barbequing. We didn't get to use the bbq as the weather was too bad. The building itself is well maintained and the front door was a heavy brass and glass affair with a security code so we didn't have any concerns about safety. There was also a buzzer on the gate onto the street. The location is excellent (that is if you like being in the close to the centre of a city). Although we had rented a car for the two weeks, I walked everywhere with the kids. There was a small park close by which was nice for a change from the large garden. It's also only a stones throw from the train station. There is a small SImply supermarket (with a too vigilant security guard) close to the train station. The shops and restaurants in the centre of Tours were easily reached within 15 minutes of walking. There was a general non-stop restaurant in the centre of Tours called Le Relais d'Alsace. Good prices and decent food. I liked how in the centre of Tours that while there were all the usual chain shops that you see in other parts of France (Galleries Lafayette, Douglas, Nocibe, La Grand recre etc), I didn't feel that it was short on individual independent boutiques or shops of several different types (clothes, chocolates, toys). There were several boulongeries, pharmacies and the tourist office within very close walking distance of the apartment. In terms of childcare / babysitting we contacted an agency in Tours we didn't ask the landlady. The landlady was also very helpful when we needed a recommendation for a doctor who spoke English. She knew of one very close to the apartment. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I hope to stay there again but next time my only hope it is better weather.

"Logement très agréable situé dans un quartier résidentiel près de la gare de Tours. L''appartement est très bien équipé, très propre et calme. L''espace à manger dans la cuisine convient pour 3 personnes mais est un peu juste à partir de 4. Nous avons apprécié l''accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire des lieux. La visite des quartiers d''intérêt de la ville peut se faire à pied à partir de la location. L''accès très rapide à l''autoroute en fait un bon point de départ pour la visite des Châteaux de la Loire. Nouveau service disponible lors de notre venue: une place de parking privée dans un garage souterrain est accessible à 500 m."
