The Cabin:
• Interior is all one level
• Five bedrooms and four full bathrooms
• Great room with 13’ vaulted ceiling, knotty pine walls, stone fireplace, pool table, seating for 10+, and 50” HDTV with YouTubeTV and HDMI input
• Second living area open to kitchen with stone fireplace, seating for 14, 48” HDTV with YouTubeTV, HDMI input, and sound system
• Chef’s kitchen! Quartz countertops, beverage area with mini fridge, Keurig and standard coffee pot. Two full-size ovens, gas range, dishwasher. Stocked with bakeware to serve everyone.
• Tankless water heaters for continuous hot water
• WiFi is unlimited

We welcome families and groups who will care for the home as their own. It’s a great place to bring your boat and friends and family to enjoy days on the water. The house is large enough for all to have their own space or to come together for laughter and fun.

We had a wonderful family reunion and birthday celebration at this Great house! It was clean, spacious, easy to access and had a boathouse for our pontoon - an all around Fantastic stay! I highly recommend this house for your vacation stay!

Family vacation 2025

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was beautiful on the back deck and at the fire pit area. We had easy access to the lake. Everyone was comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. I would come back again and I would definitely recommend to other families looking for a special spot in the Pickwick area.

Family Vacation at Pickwick

I would highly recommend this cabin. It was big enough for our whole family, 10 people and had a swing for the little ones. The kitchen and baths seem to be newly remodeled. The backyard is magically with the fire pit perfect for s'mores and catching fire flies. We also enjoyed the boathouse. This property truly has something for everyone. 10 out of 10!

Great host

This host does a good job of providing instructions for everything associated with your stay, right down to using the grill! The host was also available if we had any questions. If we are ever in the area, we would certainly stay here again!Also, I left an item at the lodge and they sent shipped it back to me!

Weekend Get Away

This property is very clean and a great layout with plenty of bedrooms and living areas. The kids loved the pool table and the big deck is a great spot to relax after a long day on the lake. The covered boat slip is perfect for your fishing boat and pontoon.

This rental was outstanding! We came in from Florida arriving early,called the owner Sherri and we were able to check in after driving 11 hours straight on the road..The house had everything and than some,we had 5 adults 3 children and still plenty of room, wonderful safe neighborhood, and everything you need to entertain is at the house!wonderful owners,5 star place,

Retirement Celebration/65th birthday

We loved the house and the location. We had a great time playing pool in the evenings after a day boating on the lake. We hope to stay there again in the future. Thank you for opening up your home to renters, it was the perfect place for us!!

Another Great Week @ YCL

We had another great time at YCL with family and friends. Stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed for adults and young kids. House is set up well for multiple families and the large yard, fire pit, swing set, parking area, etc. worked out perfect. Sherrie was a great host and helped us out a ton. Highly recommend!!!

Getaway with the Feel of Home

This was our 3rd stay at Yellow Creek Lodge. I will always choose this home whenever we visit Pickwick Lake. It is equipped with everything you would find in your own home and the spacious layout is all on one level. It is not a new, modern home; however, the kitchen and one of the bathrooms has been very tastefully remodeled. Lots of large windows provide beautiful views of the secluded, wooded property. The appeal of this home is its rustic features, spaciousness, and location. It also has a large deck which accommodates a large group and a fire pit below with adirondack chairs surrounding it!

4/10-4/14 Stay

Beautiful property inside and out. Spacious and tucked away boathouse at the back of cove keeps rough waters from rocking stored boats. For fishing boats when stored in boathouse the electrical outlets are on a 60 minute timer so if out for a full day and batteries need a good charge you will have to go back down once or twice to activate but not a crazy hassle. Paved road down from house to the boathouse was very nice especially with any rainy days. Inside is spacious and very well laid out. I would recommend this place for anyone coming to fish or boat on Pickwick Lake.

Thanksgiving 2015 Guest

House is not fancy but very, very efficient for large groups. Our family felt at home with five bedrooms to sleep five different families. The fire pit was great for hotdog roast our first night. The kitchen worked well for breakfast and snack but I was thankful we had not planned to have our Thanksgiving meal there. Although there are two ovens, they are older and smaller. The house has been maintained well. VERY clean. I would recommend taking additional towels if you are staying for a week. If we were back in the area we would look to use again.

Large Family Fun

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property near Shiloh National Park for a family reunion, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming surroundings and the plethora of activities available on-site. The property was perfect for our large group, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The kids had a blast on the swing set, while the adults enjoyed the peacefulness of the nearby fishing spot. We spent our days fishing, laughing, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening bonfire. Gathered around the fire, we roasted marshmallows, shared stories, and created lasting memories under the starlit sky. The grill was another fantastic feature, allowing us to cook up delicious meals and dine al fresco. The proximity to Shiloh National Park was a huge bonus. We took a day trip to explore the historic battlefield, which added an educational and enriching dimension to our reunion. Overall, this VRBO property was the perfect setting for our family reunion. The amenities, location, and overall ambiance made for a truly special and enjoyable stay. We can't wait to return!

Most Horrible Experience

We arrived at the property only to immediately to smell a horrific odor like sewer. After exp breathing difficulties 4 of us had to leave and drive 69 miles back to Florence for accommodations. The ones who stayed had to sleep with windows open and fans. The owner came the next morning and because they were kind and could sleep in the house didn’t think it was a real issue. Really? What about the Feces is found in the bed in the pic I sent. House was NOT clean. First bad exp with VRBO in over 10 yrs. Owner refunded half the room rate but enjoyed the cleaning fees and the remainder of the monies to clean up THEIR mess. When provided pics no response. Sad we were looking for a property in the area to use for abet away to fish and be around the water. Would NOT recommend.

Lovely peaceful Christmas vacation

December 25-Jan1st. The host, Sherrie was absolutely wonderful. She was so quick to respond to any questions I had. So easy to work with. This was a planned 4-5 family vacation, unfortunately/fortunately it was a solo trip for me. In all 4 of my different families someone had a medial emergency or hospital stay that kept them from coming. I had a new grandson born but not in time for his 2 week shots. 🥰 Anywho, getting to the solo part. I arrived Christmas evening to a beautiful spacious living room. Oh the wood walls and ceilings just beautiful. The kitchen was amazing. You need not bring anything because it is so well supplied with everything unless you love cast iron like I do. Sherrie has thought of everything you could possibly need. Dec 26th 2023 I had a beautiful snowfall. The fireplace was wonderful. Plenty of wood is provided for outside fire pit and the home. The bed was so comfortable. I looked for the brand that’s how comfortable. The outside property and boathouse was so nice. Just as described. I look forward to a summer stay to use those outside amenities. You can not go wrong with Yellow Creek!! Thanks Sherrie for making my stay so easy and comfortable. Happy New Year!

Family Vacation

Our trip consisted of my granddad 91, husband, daughter and brother's family. There was 8 of us altogether. The house was the best stocked I've ever rented. Seriously hands down the best. They had everything from dish soap to toilet paper. Aluminum foil, paper towels, seasonings, and all of it was included in the cost. Even the gas grill. I rented one place where the grill was an extra $80 a night. So, we where extremely happy about that. The bedding was super soft we actually took pictures of the labels so we could buy some for our own house. There was more than enough room for everyone. Some places say they sleep a certain number but then you get there and you're like how or where will they sleep or sit. Also, there was plenty of seating around the house we all had room to hang out or eat together. Next, the hot water was great they have tankless water heaters. The water takes a minute to heat up but once it does you're set. I really enjoyed that as my daughter likes to use all the hot water. The house and property are beautiful. About have the beds are super hard. Hard enough that a coupl of us switched beds or slept on the couches. This property is not a good fit for anyone with mobility issues. None of the entrances are handicap accessible. The floor in the house is uneven and would be a safety hazard for people with severe mobility issues. In our group we had 3 ppl with issues. Overall, I recommend this property its beautiful, a great place to relax and hang out.

Family Fishing Weekend

This home was perfect for our family, multigenerational, to meet up and enjoy the weekend together. The ages ranged from 4 to 65 and all in between. We brought 2 fishing boats and utilized the boat house. We have plenty of room to gather, play games, eat, and just visit and make memories.

We are an active family who enjoy the outdoors. As our family grew, we realized the costs of travelling combined with limited time made it a challenge to get far from home. We opted to find a happy-lake cabin within an easy drive from our home.

We chose Yellow Creek Lodge because of the level (relative to others) lot, proximity to the water, enclosed double boathouse, 5 acres and the interior of the cabin has the charm of 'old Pickwick'. The level interior of the cabin along with the five bedrooms and four full baths give everyone easy access and plenty of space.

Vintage Pickwick. Enclosed double boathouse. Drive-able to the boathouse, but easier to walk. No steps or stairs inside the cabin. Screened and lighted grill house. 5 acres. Three swings. Outdoor, simple fire pit (wood provided). In the winter, the creek running along the property is great for floating boats or exploring. Less than 2 miles to groceries, restaurants, marinas and public boat ramp.
