This cozy and comfortable lodging is the perfect choice for your Adirondack vacation or romantic get away. On Franklin Pond is situated at the north end of Franklin Falls Pond, a 2.7 mile long lake, one of the most peaceful in the Adirondacks. Nestled in a wooded area among towering pines and surrounded by New York State Forever Wild Forest, On Franklin Pond is a newly constructed vacation rental with beautiful lake and mountain views. Attached to the owner's home, this lodging has a separate entrance assuring your utmost privacy. The owners are available however to assist with any needs. Situated 120 feet from Franklin Pond with a lightly traveled road between your lodging and the shoreline, you will find convenient lake access where there are kayaks and a canoe for you to enjoy. Paddle along the miles of shoreline scouting for wildlife or try your hand at fishing for bass or walleye. Close by, you will find excellent trout fishing in the Saranac and Ausable Rivers. Trails for hiking and mountain climbing are not far away, and we are just 20 minutes from excellent skiing at the Olympic Ski Center at Whiteface Mountain.

This lovely lodging has new furnishings and is decorated in an Adirondack style and original artwork.
Living Room - cathedral ceiling, log beams and Adirondack style chandelier. Here you will enjoy mountain and lake views. Relax and read in front of the Adirondack style stone fireplace.
Kitchenette- at the end of the living room is well stocked with sink, under-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, toaster, drip coffee maker and more.
Large Bedroom- features a cathedral ceiling and log beams. It has a queen bed where you will wake up to the beautiful view. There is ample storage with a large dresser and walk in closet. The en suite bathroom features a large Swan Stone shower and pedestal sink.
Outside- enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail in the Adirondack chairs on the patio area in front of your lodging. Watch the squirrels and chipmunks scurry about and listen to the chicadees as they feed from the bird feeder. A seasonal gas grill is available for outside cooking. A campfire pit is located at the back of the property, conditions permitting. Canoe and kayaks are at the lake shore.

Cute and cozy private setting. The view of the pond was absolutely breathtaking. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Our hosts had so many personal touches waiting for us, it was sweet and made us feel at home. Great communication with hosts. Weekend getaway

Great little place for a couple. Owner occupied and very kind but not intrusive. The cottage is spotless with good utensils for cooking and eating. The location was great for visiting Lake Placid and many other beautiful surrounding towns.

Wonderful Weekend

This is a perfect spot for a getaway weekend or longer! We got out on the kayaks to explore the pond and followed through with some of Dick and Mary's recommendations for activities and food. We also traveled to Lake Placid and hiked Whiteface Mountain, which aren't too far away. Dick and Mary were excellent hosts and it felt like they had thought of everything we could possibly want. There is no doubt that we will be coming back to stay in the future!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful spot in the Adirondacks and it was perfect once again. The location is quiet with a gorgeous view of Franklin Pond right outside the window. This time we canoed at the St. Regis Canoe area where we spotted an eagleā€¦just spectacular! Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are nearby to explore. The apartment is equipped with everything needed to make for a comfortable stay and it is spotless. Dick and Mary are wonderful hosts and so welcoming. The little touches are appreciatedā€¦the muffins and chocolate chip cookies were delicious. There was even a lsweet little vase with a flower on the bathroom sink! We are looking forward to our next visit.

We retired from our jobs in the medical profession in 2008 to move to the Adirondack Mountains where we took a retirement job as live in inn keepers at a historic Great Camp. We found that we loved the Adirondacks and purchased a home and retired from our retirement job.
