We chose this rental to celebrate my 70th birthday with family, and it was perfect for the occasion. The space was comfortable, clean and well laid out for spending time together. Everyone felt at home and made the celebration extra special. We would happily stay here again.

We had a fabulous stay at the Madrid! Sixteen of us enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor amenities. The pool was perfect for our group and we were able to soak in the sun, barbeque outdoors and enjoy watching movies together as well.

We spent 5 nights at this beautiful resort style home with our extended family and had a wonderful time. The pool and hot tub were definitely the highlight but also the many gathering places inside and outside the house provided lots of space to enjoy the property. The pool table provided endless enjoyment and the huge kitchen was a bonus. The property management team was exceptional: great communication and response to questions and minor issues that came up. We will be back and l highly recommend this property to other families.

Our stay was great! Property manager William was very helpful throughout the weekend. The best part was definitely the pool. Adults and kids alike enjoyed the pool. The tennis and pickle ball courts were a nice bonus. The one thing that would have improved our stay is more lighting outside. Especially the pickle ball and tennis court can’t be enjoyed in the evening.

We would definitely stay again!

Favorite parts of our stay: tennis and pickle courts, hot tub, large kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture was comfortable. It’s a well thought out home close to the BNP Paribas tournament, grocery stores, and Bermuda dunes airport.

Great stay for tennis tournament!

Our group of women enjoyed the many bedrooms/baths, extra large kitchen and gorgeous outdoor area, with lots of activities. The manager and staff were readily available and responsive to any needs or questions we had.

Great location, the pickle ball courts and hot tub were very nice. The tennis court is hardly playable. The walls are too narrow, the net is broken, and if your ball bounces beyond the court it’s gone forever. So don’t count on playing tennis. This rental has been moderately maintained. The toilets in the casitas run all night (we notified management) the master shower and bath faucet leaks. The home is thoughtfully built, the pool and landscaping are very well maintained. We grilled steaks 1 night and there was a lot of good cooking utensils and the grills are very clean.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We have 6 full time maintenance crew. If you could kindly let us know during your stay of a toilet chain breaking we can fix it instantly. We will raise the 5 foot tennis wall to 7 feet and have ordered parts to repair the net. We replaced the shower head in the master bath. Thank you so much!

Lovely Family Vacation

We had a great time with our family. William the property manager was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question. The house was great with a pool, pickleball court, etc. would rent again!

Family reunion

This property was perfect for us! Multiple seating areas for a little privacy; HUGE kitchen; sporting activities were all enjoyed ( especially pickleball!). The pool was beautifully serene, and we enjoyed daily “hot tub happy hour”! Location was good to enjoy local hiking and not too far from Joshua Tree.

Best property in the desert

This was our 3rd time at this property and it truly is the best. Perfect for big families, the management is very responsive and accommodating. We just spent the weekend during the hurricane and they made sure our group was safe and taken care of. We can’t wait to come back next year.

beautiful space for entertaining

Our family was thrilled with this property to stay at to celebrate our wedding weekend. It is HUGE for 20 people - which is exactly what you need to spread out and enjoy yourselves. The kitchen was such a hit; everyone could make breakfast in the mornings separately or together. Pool was really clean which we were concerned about but it ended up being nice! The grounds were so well maintained. The house itself and casitas have some wear and tear - and two of the casitas could benefit from more clothing storage. Overall it's a great property and it was nice to feel my family and friends really enjoyed themselves.

Good for large groups

The house was great for hosting a large party. We never ran out of things to do as the pickleball courts occupied our time there. We did have few hiccups in the beginning but the manager took care of it right away. Only thing is the pool/spa was confusing. We were not able to heat it higher than 82 degrees for the pool and it was still cold at that temp to enjoy during winter. Everything else was great. Kitchen was stocked nicely and the house was comfortable for all 17 of us and 2 small dogs.

Anniversary party

My wife &I along w all our kids, grandkids& friends celebrated our 50th anniversary. We stayed on the Madrid Estate part of the Laguna Seca Group of homes. It was the best time ever. The grounds are well kept, with options for tennis, pickle ball, swimming, many activities. We had non stop fun! The huge pool was the main focal part. Absolutely gorgeous! Huge area for play & just hanging out. Outdoor bq w huge stove/oven were used for most of our dinners. The main house had everything you needed, but most of all the beds were so comfortable. This group of estate homes are a secret gem on VRBO. We enjoyed ourselves to the Max!

Oasis in the Scorching Desert Heat

We stayed here for a family-oriented reunion with college friends, multiple families with kids. It was the middle of summer in a heat wave, but we stayed cool inside the house and in the wonderful pool. We rented 2 homes (Madrid and Barcelona), and it was very convenient to walk across the street in the gated community. We also loved the area, with plenty of stores close by and good restaurants. The manager, William, was extremely responsive every step of the way, and provided excellent service to answer all our questions about the properties. When there were minor problems such as not enough towels upon arrival, he jumped on the phone and solved it for us right away. Overall, we found the houses clean and in good working order. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

A great place for a multi-family getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The 3 casitas (which was really almost 4 casitas because of the location of the bedrooms near the outdoor shower) worked so well for having 3 families with lots of kids ages 6-11 -- and so nice on that from to have double washer/dryers. The pool was the center of activity but the kids also enjoyed the putting green, tennis, and the play structure. It was nice because we were all able to be together and yet not be on top of each other. Chris was very helpful, answering questions and helping us take full advantage of all the pool features. A wind storm stirred up a lot of dust and without our asking, the next day the pool guy game and cleared out the pool, too. We would recommend the house highly! Thank you so much!

Thanks Emmy, we really enjoyed having you guys. Chris and I try hard to manage All eight gated houses on VRBO in Laguna Seca our Desert Paradise. We recently painted the interior of the house and put new sheets on all the beds. We have just added two new pickle ball courts and ordered a new net for the tennis court. We are in the process of building a wedding chapel for wedding ceremonies in the front area. It should be done next week. The 5000 Sq/ft RV garage is perfect for receptions or event parties. We have also recently added three hall putting green and kids playground set. We have taken all the carpet out of the house except one bedroom which should be finished with European white oak wood next week. I am a builder with a class A license and take pride In using union workers. We recently added two new 40,000 BTU heaters to the amazing pool. Our pool filters are kept on 24 hours and the filters are cleaned every 2-4 weeks. Our pool man vacuums the pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays twice a week. We recently added iAquaLink to control the pool. So give us a time and will have the Jacuzzi ready for you when you get back from that golf game or arrive to the house. We are super sorry about the dust storm but that sometimes happens in April. Marta is always there to help clean and Jose is in the community daily should you need the pool netted or sprinklers turned off.

the pictures don't lie

Perfect place for extended family to spend Christmas week. The house and pool were as advertised in the pictures and created a nice private resort feel. The 3 casitas allowed the families with small children to have the perfect amount of seclusion, while still being part of the group. The kitchen was nicely stocked, making it easy enough for us to prepare mutliple meals for the group. We were very fortunate with the weather. Many hours were spent in and around the pool, playing ping pong and tennis, eating, drinking and playing board games in the many gathering areas. While there were minor issues with the pool and TV upon arrival, Chris was amazing at resolving issues quickly and to our satisfaction. He even set up a Christmas tree prior to our arrival. We will definitely consider the Madrid for future family gatherings.

Epic Birthday Weekend

You will not be disappointed with this incredible home! We had a 60th Birthday/Family Reunion at The Madrid property. We didn’t have much communication with Dawn the property manager, but the owner Richard is AWESOME! He was available via text if we needed anything at all. The rooms and casitas were perfect for our guests. The kitchen was an entertainers dream!! And the pool……there are no words!! Jacuzzi, baja shelf with chairs, plenty of room to float AND a swim up bar!!! We had Jeffrey the Bartender during the day Saturday and he only enhanced the experience. Family had pickle ball tournaments, played ping pong, used the putting green and again the pool, perfect for a floating beer pong table (LOL). I would not hesitate to contact Richard for another stay!!
