Rough & Ready Vineyards Guesthouse

Our vineyard estate is ready to host your family and friends for a vacation or quick weekend getaway! The home has beds for 16 people and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom is a luxurious retreat, even featuring a claw foot tub! The home and property has plenty of room to spread out, while created to also come together around the kitchen and living area.

**We have fast WiFi throughout our property and excellent cell reception. This is great for people looking to stay connected or needing to work remotely during their stay.**

While our home is great for adults, we can also accommodate children. We have a pack & play, high chairs, as well as a small bassinet-type sleeper that will help parents of little ones feel right at home.

**PLEASE NOTE** Our guesthouse is on the second floor and must be accessed via interior stairs. Our property is a working vineyard that occasionally hosts weddings and other events that may occur during your stay. The lower level of our guesthouse is our vineyard office and there may be staff working or on-site while you are here with us.

We have beautiful grounds that feature a seasonal creek, heritage oaks, and an Italian marble gazebo that are often used for special events that may be happening during your stay. The pastoral setting is wonderful for family photos or just quietly exploring. We enjoy walking the property, occasionally running into deer or raccoons, and watching the neighboring horses.

** Dogs are welcome but need to be leashed while outside. Additional pet fees apply. **

The California Foothills are fun year-round, and our estate is a central location for day trips to ski in the Sierras, go to the beach or San Francisco, hike in the Tahoe National Forest, visit the Wild and Scenic Yuba River, or learn about the history of gold mining while trying your own hand at striking it rich!

The closest airport is Sacramento (1 hour). Summer/Fall stays can also fly into Reno (1.75 hours).

While outdoor weddings are allowed by permit on our property, you do not have the ability to have a wedding or special event simply by booking a stay. Weddings and special events are booked through Rough & Ready Vineyard offices and are completely separate from your vacation stay. Large home that was suitable for a large group. Everyone enjoyed being able to be outside and spread out both inside and out. Be aware that you are renting a property that is an upstairs unit with no downstairs. This made it difficult for my elderly mother but was ok for everyone else.

The folks that manage the guesthouse have just been awesome to work with. The communication has been on point and they have been so very accommodating with requests to extend our stay. There is a lot of space for our crew(s) doing work in the area - for both people and vehicles. Again....can't say enough good things about the staff and the venue. If you are on the fence....book this for your stay. You won't regret it.

Fit for a Beautiful Wedding Day

The house was rented for 2 nights for our daughters wedding. It was absolutely perfect for the rehearsal dinner and then getting ready on Saturday. Plenty of room for everyone, kitchen stocked with what we needed. It was also easy to keep the guys & gals separate as we got ready.

Amazing property! Great host and a very clean place too. The AC however wasn't as powerful as it should have been. We were at the place during a heat wave and hence, the central AC couldn't cool the place throughout the day. Apart from this, everything else was great!

Perfect birthday weekend

This property was perfect for our seven adults and six kids. We were comfortable and everyone had a wonderful time. Number of beds and rooms worked well and cousins got to sleep in the same room which was quite a treat. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and we really lacked for nothing. Would stay here again!

We Will Be Back

To say that this listing was excellent would be an understatement. From start to finish, everything about the stay was amazing. Myself and 13 others ventured here for my birthday and to get away from the busyness of our day to day life. Perfect for our wedding celebrations

We had booked Rough and Ready Vineyards for my daughter's wedding, and after having initially thought the guest house rental was not needed, we changed our mind and I am so glad we did. The venue has no other place for the bride to get ready or hide out, so unless you are arriving ready for the ceremony to start, you need this house. We had a welcome reception the night before, had bridesmaids and other wedding helpers spend the night, had a place for the bride to have hair and make up done, get dressed, etc. Everyone thought the house was great. Fully equipped, good communication from manager contact, would be a great place for a multi-family getaway or reunion. Would recommend Tiffany and the Rough and Ready crew - a smoke alarm going off was immediately addressed by them! Thanks to all!

This place worked out well for a family get together. Plenty of room for those who stayed the night and those who came for the day. Comfortable and relaxing setting. Host was responsive to some changes I needed to make.
