Tamarind Tree apartment offers 'a haven away from home' to visitors seeking tranquility and comfort while still having close access to restaurants, fast food outlets, supermarkets, pubs and the beach.

The beachfront property is situated at Paynes Bay beach along the West Coast of Barbados and is approximately:
Fifteen minutes drive from Bridgetown
Fifteen minutes walk from Sandy Lane Hotel
Five minutes from Lime Grove and Holetown
Five minutes walk from Shades

The apartment's elevation allows for cool breeze ventilation and a panoramic view of our garden, fish pond and the ocean, from its bay windows and seaside porch.

The property consist of two bedrooms (with air conditioning) - one bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the other two full size beds; two bathrooms with Living area and patio tastefully decorated for our visitors comfort. The open plan kitchen and Living room has a ceiling fan to assist with air circulation. Guest are treated to complimentary refreshment on arrival and all special request are attended to promptly.

Our stay here was wonderful . William was so nice and brought us to the market on the first day to grab a few items. That was very kind of him. Our room was less than a minute from the beach, air conditioning was great. We always had chairs on the beach , so we didn’t have to worry about anything . The buses ran every 10 mins if we wanted to explore the town, which was also a plus . The water was amazing, and it truly felt like paradise . Thank you again. We will definitely be coming back.

Host is welcoming and helpful. Property is in a great location, convenient to public transportation. Restaurant and beach bar serve delicious food and the best rum punch on the island!

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. The host was great and very helpful. The convenience of the beach restaurant right down stairs was perfect and the fact that it is beachside is amazing. It really was a home away from home. Charles and Garvin were suitably impressed.

The apartment was excellent value. It’s right on one of the best beaches in Barbados, has good amenities like wi-fi and air conditioning. The owners kept it clean and were very responsive and helpful. We had a great trip!

If you’re staying for a longer stay and plan to use the kitchen for most of your meals, it is not fully stocked. But, there is a restaurant on site. This property is on the beach, staff very accommodating. We loved our stay. Good music.

Quick stay

We stayed here for a weekend between visiting friends on the island. The location is superb, beautiful beach and all the staff very friendly!

Great Beach front accommodation

Madeline & William were fantastic hosts, we loved our stay it was relaxing the location is amazing and we had sun beds put out for us daily. We hope to return soon.

A great place to stay

My wife and I had a great time in Barbados. William and Madaline were perfect hosts. The location of the apartment can't be beat being close to the beach, shopping areas and restaurants. We are already planning our next trip back!

The hosts were very welcoming. William took us to the grocer to buy food. He also drove us around the island on two days to show us the sights. The fact that they have a restaurant on the property at the beach was a plus on nights we didn’t want to go far to eat. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The hosts were more than happy to help in any way. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great place to stay right on the beach.

Great time was had!

The apartment was clean, well maintained and in a fabulous location. Steps from the beach, close to restaurants and the owners were very helpful with all our questions. We would recommend this property.

Perfect location Beautiful beach

Quaint property, located in Paynes Bay. There’s a small beach bar and grill located on the property which is perfect to have lunch. Walking distance to a few restaurants and easy to access cabs or public transportation. Owners are quick to respond to requests. Hidden gem!

Madaline is an excellent host

We stayed for only one day but Madaline made it very special for us. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The location of the house is right at the beautiful beach. It is a true homely experience away from home. Would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful location

Couldn’t be closer to the beach! Hosts very helpful and accommodating! Only downside was finding the apartment initially as the sign was missing. The real seller was the included beach beds they set up for us every day.Came home and immediately booked to return next year..

A great place!

William and Madeline went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We checked in at supper time and William even drove us to a nearby restaurant and returned to pick us up afterwards. In the morning, the bar and grill on the beach behind the property provided a great place for some delicious food and drinks. We’d love to return and stay longer !

Beautiful and Relaxing

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well kept. It offered a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners were very kind and helpful. I would definitely return for a stay. Thank you!

Had a great stay, awesome location and the staff was super friendly and helpful. William even drove me to the store and waited for me to shop the first night I arrived and drove me to the airport so i didn't have to take the bus when I left.

When you stay in this apartment you are truly in Barbados next to the beach. You intermingle with the natives who are very kind and helpful especially William the owner who took care of our needs. Nice man. Great place. We would return.

Perfect apartment for exploring Paynes Beach

You couldn't ask for more welcoming hosts or a more convenient apartment to enjoy Paynes Beach. The apartment was perfect for our family of four and we thoroughly enjoyed our few nights here. Our only regret was not spending more time here. Especially for our daughter, the cats and kittens were a highlight of our travels - especially "Mongoose". Thanks!

Perfect apartment in prime location

This apartment is run by a lovely local family. They’re very helpful and friendly. The location is superb, right on Paynes Bay, a few metres away from the sea :) the kitchen has all you need, the bedrooms have air-conditioning. I’d say pretty perfect! We will definitely come back.

Hi my name is Madaline and I am married to William. We are the owners of the Tamarind Tree Apartment who also live on the premises. I grew up on the beautiful lush and rugged east coast of the island. I married to William and moved to this side of the island where we raised 2 beautiful daughters - Indra and Tyra. As this location is home to us we were always being praised for our location and hospitality when entertaining but only saw it as home until we decided to add the apartment.

William is a retired secondary school teacher of Mathematics and I worked Accounting, property management and in business development with a government agency. I currently operate The Gazebo Experience Bar and Grill and Trainline Adventure Tours. Our kids are now in university seeking to lead their own lives.

Our Apartment is well located along one of the more beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. We wanted to share our hospitality and our home with visitors to truly experience Barbadian culture in a village type setting similar to what we like to experience when we travel to other countries. Therefore we try to provide the comforts of home in an easy going holiday setting where locals are friendly and are always willing to assist you with anything if you need it. Females and the elderly are especially comfortable here and grateful for the helpfulness.

The location is safe and someone is always on the premises. Our apartment is a continuous evolving opportunity for us as we seek visitors ideas and needs, to update our plant into what you like as well as what we like. This fusion will hopefully be more pleasing to all as we continue.
