Stop! Look no further: you’re home in the beautiful centre of Nîmes, walking distance to everything: shopping, museums, la Maison Carrée, the train station… You’ll probably be graciously welcomed by Patrice, the owner, at the front of the building and helped inside with your luggage. His comfortable, quiet apartment is like being in a living museum, surrounded by paintings everywhere. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. You’ll probably regret having to leave and want to come back again. Bon voyage!

Wonderful stay at the apartment of Patrice an avid art collector. Central location, clean and well equipped one bedroom flat on top floor(4th) of town house(elevator to 3rd floor only-not suitable for disabled)Excellent choice for our 4 night stay. Made our own breakfast(cosy fully equipped little kitchen) otherwise ate out, plenty of eateries nearby. Patrice has great recommendations. Easy access to all of Nimes wonderful sites.Easy 15 walk from train station.Comfortable bed, it was hot while we were there so we made use of A/C in bedroom.A great stay and certainly our 1st choice for future visit to Nimes. Merci Patrice

The accomodation surpassed expectations.It was amazing and very special to stay amongst Patrices art collections from around the world.He was a very congenial informative host.To be able to be right in the centre of Nimes was wonderful We hope to stay much longer next time. Thank you Patrice.

So civilized, and then there's the view.

Absolutely perfect. A treat to stay in such a fully-equipped confortable stylish apartment. Patrice is the consummate host, considerate and available for check-in and questions. It is our second visit and it's quickly becomng like coming home. There is always something wonderful to look at in the apartment that you hadn't noticed before. Parking by subscription handled before arriving was easy and very close by.

If you’re considering a stay in Nîmes, this is the perfect spot. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better VRBO experience.It’s no wonder Patrice is more than a 20-time suerhost: this flat is gorgeous - literally floor to ceiling artwork - in a spectacular location, across the street from a Roman temple built in the first century. We were so comfortable - Patrice used to live in this flat and it seems he’s thought of everything to make an enjoyable stay. The tiny kitchen is well-equipped, the bathroom has everything you might need including a bathrobe and blow dryer, and there’s a tv, wifi, books in English, and even a washing machine (which we made use of).Patrice suggested some of his favorite restaurants and he was spot on! I wish we didn’t have to leave…Merci beaucoup!

Practically Perfect in Every Way!

We'd worried that the photos and reviews might be too good to be true, but WE were WRONG! This is the Mary Poppins apartment: Practically Perfect in EVERY Way! It was like living in a wonderful art gallery, in a well-located, exquisite historic neighborhood. Patrice was kind, generous in suggestions of restaurants, patisseries, and must-see places to visit. After eight nights, we didn't want to leave. We'll be back.

Easy walking in Nimes

A great pied a terre with a lift for three of the four floors. The apartment was decorated like an art gallery with paintings on every wall, on every space. It was private and spacious for two. Restaurants, bars, museums, the smaller than Rome coliseum,the canal were walking distance in the centre of town. Our host Patrice informative and a gracious host in English or French.

Cozy apartment in beautiful Nimes

Overdue on our review, apologies Patrice. Lovely apartment in the perfect location. Close to everything, including the bountiful markets and great restaurants. Comfortable bed and well appointed floor plan. Cosy; perfect for two. Wonderful shower room and laundry. Modern kitchen adequate for two. Very gracious and charming host! We would stay here again without hesitation. All the best to Patrice!

Wonderful apartment in downtown Nimes

This apartment was originally lived in by Patrice, the owner and host. Much of his original furniture and especially artworks remain and it is a delight. Located on the 4th floor of an old building (with lift to 3rd level); but completed renovated in recent years, it is comfortable with everything one could want. We enjoyed it tremendously and would recommend it to any visitors to this very interesting and beautiful city. Patrice lives in the same building and was a very kind and attentive host.

Perfect!

I loved this place when I first spotted it on the VRBO site. Patrice actually came downstairs when he spotted us from the window and helped guide us to the building. Everything about the apartment is well thought out and so artful yet comfortable. My husband thought the bed was a bit uncomfortable but I thought it was fine. Loved the lift and the views from every window. I would stay there again without hesitation. Wonderful experience and great host.

We were sad to leave.

It’s difficult to say something original that praises Patrice’s outstanding apartment. From his welcome, to the gallery of art, to the tasteful decoration, to the thoughtful amenities, this apartment stands apart from any other we have rented. The location is superb with the city’s best market, Les Halles, just outside the door. Don’t want to cook? A short walk will bring you to any number of good restaurants. The great location extends to all the important cultural attractions within walking distance. Finally, your host is attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will return.

Location, Location, Location!!

Patrice was an excellent host , renting us his fabulous apartment. We had the pleasure of staying in his apartment for 5 days. When you step outside from the front door, you are suddenly transported back into time, with a Roman temple, at your doorstep. There was so much to see , all within easy walking distance! We soon realized that 5 days was not enough time. We will be back for two weeks next year! We greatly enjoyed Patrice’s fantastic art collection- we were truly inspired! We just can’t say enough good things about his apartment and his assistance during our visit. It truly was an honor to be there.

Exquisite View of the Maison Carree

The flat was beautifully appointed with everything and anything you could imagine. The place was spotless, and afforded a central location with exquisite views of the Maison Carree. We were so thrilled with how gorgeous Nimes was and how centrally located the apartment was. We were very glad we decided to use Nimes as our base of operations. The owner provided excellent recommendations for sights to see, food to eat and things to do. The artwork was truly magnificent and made the stay even more wonderful. Very close to great restaurants, the Arena, the train station and museums. We had a rental car for three days and the car park was only 2 blocks away. FABULOUS accomodations.

Astonishingly sophisticated and you can stay there.

Here’s your chance to stay in a perfectly edited, enormously extravagant, expertly appointed, absolutely gorgeous suite of rooms overlooking the best of Nimes, and pretend it is yours. Nothing lacking, totally comfortable, elevator and only one final flight of stairs that are wide and easily mounted. Hot water abounds, and everything works! Artwork and antiques everywhere you look. Throw in the gracious, stately, charming city of Nimes and you will never want to leave. Patrice is a host extraordinaire, kind, friendly and beyond helpful; he is one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. Ten stars.

Art lovers dream

This one bedroom apartment provided everything we could have wanted for our stay in Nimes. Patrice greeted us and made us feel welcomed. The apartment is nicely remodeled with modern bathroom and kitchen. Wifi was provided and worked great and the bed was very comfortable. The flat is filled with lovely works of art and antiques. The best feature of this flat is the location - perched across the street from the Maison Carree. The old city of Nimes is right out the front door with lovely lanes and alleys teaming with excellent cafe's, restaurants and shops. The three major Roman architectural artifacts are well within walking distance. Parking is not provided but is available at a discounted rate for longer stays right around the corner from the flat. Day trips to Avignon and Pont du Gard are very possible from this location. We highly recommend Patrice and his charming attic apartment.

Amazing Apartment in Nimes

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous trip to France. We were in country for 16 days. We spent three nights in this lovely apartment in Nimes. We loved it! Patrice is an excellent host who has truly thought of everything in the place. From the moment we booked our trip Patrice was available to offer suggestions that made our time in Nime delightful. His suggestions ultimately helped us set an itinerary that was full of the local culture and yet relaxing. We had read the previous reviews and Patrice lived up to every one! The 4th floor apartment was beautifully decorated with local art. I think we were still finding paintings we hadn't noticed on the way out the door. There was so much character in this place. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The bathroom was spotless. It was a wonderful place to relax at the end of the day, make our own food and enjoy a bottle of wine. This little haven became home to us. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Thank you Patrice for a making Nimes a wonderful stop on our trip!

"A Room with a View"...and just as enchanting.

Yes, this apartment is enchanting and what non-Europeans dream about when they think of France. And yes, it's well equipped, clean, and everything works, but, in the end, those were not really the most important things. When I think about my stay in the "attic apartment", I realize that it was Patrice, the owner, that really made the difference. I've rented around the world (and 3 times in France), and your welcome is usually an email that tells you that your the key is under the mat and..fill-in-the-blank...hopes you enjoy your stay. Not so here. Patrice, who owns the apartment, greets you personally. He shows you how everything works and has wine and specialty food items from the region awaiting you. It's clear that he loves Nimes and wants you to love it too. He gives you recommendations and information on restaurants, travel, and sites you might want to see in and around the city. He's a fountain of knowledge and better than any guide book you own. I enjoyed a brief stay in Nimes in 2015, knew immediately I had found a very special town and planned to return for a much longer stay. So, when I did return, I was already in love with Nimes but finding my French "attic"made Nimes unforgettable.
