Relax and Recharge

I had a wonderful stay at this home for the week. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described—perfect for relaxation and recharging. The host was communicative and made check-in a seamless process. I especially appreciated the peaceful surroundings and thoughtful touches throughout the home. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a quiet and welcoming retreat.

Slice of paradise

My expectations were very much in line with our family experiences. After planning our trip to mexico for 6 months we left fullfilled. The house was positioned on a lot with much privacy but exposed enough to enjoy all elements of the weather and scenery. We rented the van on-site and could zip around town when we wanted or easily caught an uber to get to where we needed to go. Loved the at home massage with Elfe and private in home cooked meal. Both experiences were amazing. Margaritas and Chips when arrived. Filtered water, Clean home, Space for everyone to relax. Joanne is literally one text away and there to answer all your questions. Would 100% come back and stay here again.

Casa Juanita for the win!

Joann is an amazing host. She made sure we had everything we needed for a stress free vacation- airport transportation, a connection for local activities, a stocked kitchen, even a personal chef and masseuse on call. The house is beautiful, with plenty of room for a family of 7. The location is off the beaten path, so solitude and privacy are a guarantee, yet only a quick Uber to all the fun! Having our own pool was amazing. My only con: do not attempt to walk the path to the beach- it is now fenced off. All the thanks to Joann for introducing us to a new favorite vacation spot!

Amazing trip to celebrate our child’s 2nd birthday! The house was beautiful, the neighborhood was safe, and the location was convenient to get to the stores, Cabo San Lucas and the airport. A great and memorable experience!!

My husband, my fifteen year old, and I had a wonderful trip. Casa Juanita was comfortable, and the hosts were beyond fabulous! It was easy to Uber anywhere desired, and just staying at the house lounging made for a great time, too. Fabulous views and fxx as bulbous weather…hard to beat!

1st time in Cabo

Casa Juanita was the perfect house for us. JoAnn was the best and was easy to contact about anything. The house, the view and the location was exactly what we were hoping for. And having Elfe cook for us was a special treat. She went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. JoAnn also setup airport transportation for us with Jorge who was great. Can’t wait to go back to Casa Juanita and also the great people who are a part of this house.

Great Stay At Casa Juanita

Our family had a magical week at Casa Juanita! The location between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo made for an easy drive to each city. Two of the best beaches in Los Cabos, Chileno Beach and Santa Maria Beach, are a just a couple minutes away. The pool was a huge hit with our two kids (9 and 11). Joanne was exceptionally helpful and responsive before and during our stay, even though she was out of the country while we were there. Overall a great visit. I highly recomend the Casa Juanita.

Romantic Hideaway

This was the perfect home for us to enjoy a quiet 29th anniversary. Easy access to Cabo and San Jose del Cabo, great beaches and restaurants. We highly recommend Elfe as the perfect chef for in home dining. We will definitely be back!

Hopes & Expectations Exceeded

This home was perfect for our group of 6-9 friends to enjoy (some had to leave early). Joanne was a pleasure to work with; she & her husband were next door and able to help with various incidental needs - walk over a Vitamix, bring more 5+ gallon filtered water containers for the “water cooler”. She also made arrangements for a chef, masseuse, & transportation to & from the airport as well as renting us their van. It was well worth paying Elfe to prepare food for us; she accommodated her offerings as we are vegetarian / vegan. She also was the house masseuse; most of us thoroughly enjoyed our massages out on the upper patio. We enjoyed the various spaces to hang out - by the pool, up top on the roof patio for sunrise & sunset meditations, another upper patio, and the living room was cozy for evening conversation. Joanne rented us their van so we could get a few folks to the airport at various times mid-stay & get to the nicer beaches nearby. While it was very convenient to have their van right there to use as needed without all the car rental time & paperwork hassles, some thought we could have saved $$$ using Uber. However, I found that rates really fluctuated depending on time of day & demand. FYI: The airport is about 37+ mins away. I opted for convenience, but it’s something you might want to consider. Overall, I hope to return to Casa Juanita again - especially if you need more space. Joanne has a very similar yet smaller house - next door which is also on VRBO. COVID TESTING: since there were 9 of us, it made logistics a lot easier to have our own COVID rapid antigen test kits ($75) which provided for a telehealth appointment (required for re-entering the USA. Super easy. Someone observes you doing the nasal swab (not deep) and after 20 mins. you show the results to the telehealth provider who then immediately sends you a link & email with certified results. I used a kit from CityHealth - one of the less expensive kits. Lovely

This is a lovely property, and perfect for our first time trip to Cabo. The house is maybe the most comfortably furnished we've ever stayed at, and the location is conveniently located between the two towns, as well as a short drive from two swimmable beaches (Santa Maria and Chileno). The view of the ocean is divine. However, what sets this property truly apart are the owners, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They helped us set up rides from the airport, a rental car, groceries, and three delicious homecooked meals during our stay, which made the trip so relaxing. Highest recommendation!

Casa Juanita Los Cabos was AMAZING! One of the best vacations our family has had!

My family and I just returned from Casa Juanita in Cabo San Lucas. What a beautiful home! We have traveled many places and always prefer a VRBO in order to accommodate the whole group. Casa Juanita was absolutely PERFECT. It is located between Los Cabos and Cabos San Jose. Perfect for day trips to the many beautiful private and public beaches! We enjoyed the beautiful authentic Mexican Architecture the home has to offer. The view of the Sea of Cortez was magnificent. The host JoAnn is the best I have ever worked with. She helped me with every detail of our trip which included having groceries delivered before our arrival, rental Van, as well as an amazing authentic Mexican Chef who prepared evening meals while we relaxed poolside. The house is located in a very safe neighborhood with security at entrance . My family made some fabulous memories here and will most definitely be going back. I highly recommend Casa Juanita! You will not be disappointed. Thanks JoAnn for sharing your beautiful home and helping to make this such a special trip! Gracias!!!

AMAZING HOUSE, AMAZING VIEW, AMAZING OWNER

We spent four days at Casa Juanita with our two teenage daughters. They felt like princesses in this beautiful yellow palace! Joann is the hostess with the moistest! She was in contact with us well before our trip to help make sure we had the best time in Cabo. She has a lot of connections in the area and helped us line up all of our extras at great prices. We made arrangements to have Elfe cook dinner for us our first evening there. The fajitas and taquitos were delicious, but the carne asada was to die for! Her guacamole, salsa, and margaritas were some of the best I've ever had! It was such a treat to relax and not worry about cooking or cleaning on our first night of vacation, and it was very affordable! Highly recommend! We arranged to have massages on the palapa on our second night there. This was, without a doubt, the best massage I have ever had! The sounds of nature with soft music and scented oils... perfection! This was a first for both of our girls. They loved it and are already asking when they can have another! Again, this was set up through Joann and was very affordable. The pool area was perfect... we enjoyed appetizers in the seating area, relaxed in the hammock, tanned, and spent hours swimming/floating in the pool everyday while taking in the amazing view! We did walk to the gorgeous secluded beach one day and had it all to ourselves! (It wasn't a bad walk, but we will wear tennis shoes instead of sandals next time.) We enjoyed Playa Santa Maria for swimming and snorkeling (all gear was provided in garage). If you want to see lots of beautiful, vibrant fish, take the short drive there. So worth it! The house was great and there were so many things available: pantry items, towels, sunscreen, shampoo/conditioner, DVDs, beach towels, floats, extra blankets, games. If there was anything we needed, there was a cute market right down the road. There is also a coffee place with great lattes! We felt very safe in this gated community! Many thanks to Joann for helping us make memories that will last a lifetime. Now that we are back in the states, we are already talking about our next trip to Casa Juanita... it is truly Heaven on Earth!

Amazing Family Vacation In Cabo

This house is perfect and the host is amazing! This house has everything you could ask for! The pool was amazing with tons of pool toys. The beaches are close by, we love to beach hop and there were several beaches close by so it was easy to drive to all of them! The house came with everything you could ask for to go to the beach, coolers, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs. We had an amazing dinner prepared for us one night and it was so easy to just relax and not have to worry about cooking or cleaning! This was our first time in Cabo and we will for sure return!!

Great location for a Cabo vacation

We loved our stay at Casa Juanita. There were 6 of us and we loved the unique setting this home provides. The palapa was a favorite spot for breakfast and for enjoying the sites and sounds of the area. The location was very convenient for our adventures snorkeling at Chilleno and Santa Maria beaches and a day trip to Todos Santos. The hosts are very attentive and responsive - we experienced a couple of glitches with the water heater and a/c but they promptly resolved the issues so we didn't miss a beat. We highly recommend staying at Casa Juanita!

A fantastic self contained retreat

We travelled to Cabo with our kids and grandkids (7 in total) and so enjoyed Casa Juanita. This is a fully equipped 2 story home with its own private pool. The views over the ocean are breathtaking and the walk to the beach is comfortable. There are swimmable beaches for Snorkeling within a few miles and Cabo is 20 minutes away. We would highly recommend casa Juanita for both the family and for romance.

Outstanding Quality-Price, Unique Accommodation

Our family of 4 (young adults of 17 and 19) stayed for a weeks at Casa Juanita. We have rented several houses and condos for family vacations over the last 20 years, and this is truly an outstanding, unique venue. What you get is exactly as described and pictured (which is always greatly appreciated). The house itself is simply magnificent. Unusual architecture with round walls and a beautiful spiral staircase, large rooms tastefully decorated, large windows throughout, gorgeous grounds and many places to relax. At the same time, it is very clean, easy to maintain (e.g. sand) and practically furnished with everything needed. There is lots of flexibility in terms of beds: in our case, mom & dad decided to take the master bedroom downstairs and leave the full upstairs level to the young adults. Worked out great, since the 'kids' could sleep in while we had a leisure coffee by the pool early in the morning. We loved the location, right in between Los Cabos and San José. It gives us the opportunity to explore both places and much more, with day trips to Todos Santos, Miraflorès, Santiago, Sierra de la Laguna, Los Barrilès and Cabo Pulmo. We felt safe in this beautiful 'gated community': while on a large property in itself, you are surrounded by respectful neighbours and 24/7 friendly guards. We could hang out comfortably at home and cook our own food, or we could easily go out for lunch or dinner. We could mingle with the crowds during the day, and come back to a peaceful, quiet night. Birds chirping in the background in the morning... stars at night... pure heaven. What truly differentiate this property, though, is the exceptional service and support: questions are always answered very promptly, before and during the stay. Minor issues are dealt with timely and effectively. The owners obviously have an excellent support system allowing them to seamlessly manage this unique casa successfully. Highly recommended, and worth all the pesos!

Perfect Couples Retreat!

We’ve had such an amazing stay at Casa Juanita and are so glad we chose a private home over a resort. The entire house is spacious with ample amenities, but our favorite spot has been the pool which has an infinity like feel since there is a perfect view out to the ocean (Sea of Cortez). Although the owner, JoAnn, is stateside she has been very attentive and responsive. She also has a great local management staff who have also ensured that our every need or concern has been taken care of. We highly recommend having, at least, one meal prepared at the house as the food was delicious. Regarding the sites, the home is perfectly situated in the middle of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose so getting to either takes no more than 15 minutes. We prefer the old town of San Jose over Cabo San Lucas because San Jose has a nicer ambiance for walking, shopping, dining. We also highly recommend, at least one dining experience at 7 Seas Restaurant, (closer to San Jose), due to the amazing food and picturesque view (they also have a surfing school/lessons on site). Overall, we’ve had the perfect couples retreat, at Casa Juanita, that has been peaceful, beautiful and memorable 😊

Most amazing hosts ever

You might think that a raving review only comes from long time friends and you would be right, except we had never met these amazing hosts before and they still treat you like a friends from the get go. We showed up late on Monday night and Joanne was so excited to meet us to show us around their amazing home. She and Cass made us feel completely at ease.
