Summary:

This beautiful multi-level Santa Cruz Pleasure Point beach house is steps from the beach and only 7 houses away from the ocean. This mid-century charmer boasts a fully loaded kitchen, open floor plan, and high ceilings. Perfect to relax and enjoy your surroundings. We offer bikes, a beach wagon, children's toys and Pets are welcome! We strive to provide a clean well maintained space for guests to enjoy. The house offers 3 bedrooms with a bonus loft. Just 10 drive to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.



The Space:

Live the beach lifestyle; bikes, beach gear, & more all for your use! Perfect for families or a group of adults.



The house is multi-level with two bedrooms on the lower level, one with 3 twin beds and the other with a king size bed, a full bathroom, garage with bikes and laundry. This level also has easy access to the backyard with a hammock, fire pit, bbq, and a table for outdoor eating. On the second floor, you will find the kitchen, dining room, master bedroom with king size bed and attached full bathroom, balcony overlooking the large backyard and just a few steps down to the living room with an attached balcony and half bath. On the top level, you will find a loft with a couch and futon bed that provides an ocean peak. The house is large with a lot of room for a multi-family vacation or a group of adults.



We have security cameras are on the outside of the property for safety reasons. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES!



We are a dog-friendly house. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee for the first pet and an additional $50 for the second. Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Pets must be approved prior to booking. They will love the house and the beach!



Guests must be over 25 to rent our beach house. Absolutely no parties. Our neighbors are sensitive to noise after 10 pm. Normal level conversations and laughing isn't a problem inside the house after 10 pm.

The Neighborhood:

The neighborhood is quiet and in a very beachy setting. The ocean is just a min walk to the end of the street. We are located in the very sought after Pleasure Point where you will find some of the best surfing in California.

We are a dog-friendly house. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee for the first pet and an additional $50 for the second. We ask that pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Pets MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO BOOKING

More time on the ocean

The house location is ideal for walking, biking to different beaches. Short bike ride to East Cliff pleasure point for surfing. House is fantastically uniquely Santa Cruz with contemporary amenities. We loved every day of our week stay!

Awesome Beach House Close to everything

My family and I stayed at this house for Labor Day Weekend and I cant say enough good things about it. The house has an awesome layout, great kitchen, two balconies and also Ocean view from the loft. This place is great as its literally a 10 minute drive from the boardwalk and also close to Capitola. I would highly recommend this house .

4th of July week

Everything was great, kids loved the house, location was perfect and the host was on point. My only feedback would be the bed in the Master bedroom was hard as a rock and after a week my wife and I felt like Fred and Wilma Flintstone which is the only reason why I didnā€™t give it 5 stars all around.

Plenty of Room for the Family

Great location. The washer and dryer were convenient. We were able to walk to the beach. There are a few things that could be better. The dishes are old and chipped. There were ants all over the countertops. The master shower needs to be power washed. The dishwasher had problems. The lighting in the kitchen and dining area was too dark.

Quirky House Pet Friendly Dirty

The house is fun, neighborhood great. Lots of cleanliness issues - dirty toothbrush in one of the beds, filthy bath nonslip mat in downstairs bathroom, dirty skillet in cabinet, dirty knife in knife block and completely unresponsive host. VRBO even tried to reach her wo success and then said it was just an advertising service and could not do more. Ridiculous.

Well Stocked

This kitchen had the most variety of things available to cook with in any house we have rented. Really appreciated having some serving bowls to use instead of a metal pot for salad (last house). I REALLY appreciate there being toilet paper, tin foil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags. Teenage and young adults kids loved it! Girls really liked the lights on the deck. We enjoyed a fire. Girls used their own Eno hammocks in the back yard. I wish we could have stayed longer. Owner was MOST helpful. No extra rental agent fees! Pleasure Point was the place to be for us.

Annual Santa Cruz Family trip

We have stayed at this property on previous occasions. This is an annual trip for many years and generations. We tend to stay in the same area and are trying to find a new annual location. While we like the property, the beds have significantly gone down hill. The larger beds are no longer acceptable as it feels as though you are hitting box springs. Mold around the facets especially lower bathroom is not acceptable. The barbeque as in previous stay was really gross and unclean. Given the price per night, better mattresses and cleaner bathrooms, etc. are expected.

Homey large home by the Sea

We enjoyed our visit in this spacious home with our daughter, son in law and teen age sons. It was also perfect for our Jack Russell. It has a large back yard, several porches, all with plenty of places to sit. Also a well stocked kitchen and big dining room table.

Amazing Beach house for whole family

Large, clean ,house in a prime location. Great backyard and porches. Yard was good to contain our dogs and hang out for people too. Kitchen was topnotch with high quality kitchen dishes and amenities. We'll be back!!!

Perfect for dog owners

We go to Santa Cruz at the end of summer every year. This was my favorite property so far. The house is well stocked. Plenty of towels, the kitchen has all you need. There are 2 balconies that are lovely for morning coffee or evening wine. Wagon and beach toys in the garage. The house has multiple levels and stairs, but we appreciated some separation from our noisy boys. The beach is only 5 or so houses down. This is a very dog friendly beach, and our dogs loved it! The location is absolutely perfect. My only complaint is the bed in the master was a little firm for my taste. Overall, this is a large house with lots of room, and the location combined with being pet friendly is awesome!

Great Stay Christmas 2018.

Great location! Steps away from cliff views and close to walk on beaches. We spent Christmas with our family of 6 plus 2 kids. Plenty of beds and parking for our 3 vehicles. There are lots of stairs, which allows a nice view from the loft, but can be a challenge for older guests or babies. Great kitchen for cooking meals together. Would definitely return!

I am an artist and after-school counselor living in San Francisco. My husband and I are starting to rent out this property. After growing up in Santa Cruz and San Jose I have now made SF my home. I have so many wonderful memories of Santa Cruz....the boardwalk, surfing, hanging out on the beach. To this day we still make frequent visits to Santa Cruz.

This house has been in my family since 1993, with the grandparents buying it as a vacation home. I spent a good part of my childhood at this house, but we eventually moved to San Jose. The house is not a permanent residence although we do stay there a couple times a year. Being this close to the beach is absolutely amazing. Taking morning or evening walks along the beach is a magical experience. The house is truly unique, being built in the 1970s and having cedar paneling throughout the house. It is a great house for families, friends or just a romantic couple's getaway. We try to keep with the original architect's design when updating the house and love the simple, clean design of the mid-century architecture. The decks are amazing to hang out on to bbq and watch the sunset and the garden is an oasis. Please note that if you are bringing a pet with you this needs to be approved in advance and there is a $100 pet fee. We welcome your furry companion.

The high ceilings, steep roofline, cedar paneling, open floor plan and midcentury design make this house so open and inviting. It just begs for you to relax and decompress. You can hear the ocean as you fall asleep! Just steps from the beach, you'll want to stay forever after you come back from the beach and use the outdoor shower, have a drink next to the outdoor fire pit on one of the two decks, cook dinner in the remodeled kitchen and cozy up next to the fireplace. Extensive movie and music collection, flat screen Tv in all three bedrooms. There are games a bike and even a long board to borrow. You can see the ocean and lights from the boardwalk from the front deck and loft area! This house has a great vibe and is tons of fun. the activetes you can do from this location are endless
