Villa 40 Clos de Vignes on the Cote d'Azur, France is situated in the small village of La Mole just 14km from St Tropez and 12km from the nearest sandy beach, with an Aqua Park close by. La Mole is a small pretty village with three restaurants, including the renowned L'Auberge de La Mole, a boulangerie with bread baked from an old fashioned oven to give a lovely flavour and a small modern supermarket. Nearby in the town of Cogolin is a newly built LeClerc Hypermarket. Located on the edge of the mountains of Maures and facing the Gulf of St Tropez, nearby Cogolin is a welcoming place all year round. The 14th century clock tower, a vestige of the old fortified castle, overlooks the village, you can still see an ancient windmill. The St. Sauveur Church (early 15th c.) the St. Roch Chapel (17th and I9thc.), the vaulted passages, the houses with portals made of serpentine or volcanic rock are all witnesses of the long past of Cogolin. The lower village built around a cougoul (little hill) is typical with its wide airy streets. Across the Argens estuary the coast road continues past St Aygulf, Les Issambres, Ste Maxime and Port Grimaud at the foot of the Massif des Maures - home to wild tortoises and charming hill villages like Plan-de-la-Tour and La Garde-Freinet.
