The Poderuccio offers a rich variety of accommodation for a total of eight beds, to meet any kind of need. Our accommodations can accommodate both large families and couples who want to spend a romantic weekend; in addition, they are equipped with all the comforts.
One of the three apartments is the TWO-ROOM APARTMENT, on the ground floor (2 beds + possibility of additional bed for children up to 12 years) composed of a double bedroom, private bathroom with shower, kitchen - living room, complete with all kitchen accessories and fireplace wood;
Outside, you can enjoy the beauty of nature from a panoramic terrace equipped with a gazebo, tables, chairs and deck chairs. There are also some courtyard animals that can be fed.
Attached to the farm is my farm which produces, in addition to wine, oil and cereals, vegetables and seasonal fruit offered to guests.
This little paradise awaits you, you won't forget it easily.

Breathtaking views!

We loved the apartment, although it is a bit of a trek from town on a bumpy gravel road. A washing machine was available for use but you had to dry the clothes on a clothesline. The weather was absolutely perfect for our trip (rained only one evening). It was so nice to sit out on the patio and enjoy the absolutely wonder view across the valley. The olive tree orchards, the vineyards....all were so beautiful. Everything was clean and if you needed anything, they were helpful in getting what you needed. We asked about a restaurant one evening and she called and made us a reservation. We used this apartment as home base to travel around Tuscany to the various villages. It was a great location.

Wunderbar in den Hügeln der Toskana gelegen

Wenn man die Staubpiste über mehrere Kilometer von San Quirico auf sich nimmt erwartet einen ein Agriturismo mit traumhafter Aussicht. Innen ist die Wohnung mit allem nötigen ausgestattet und einigen Kleinigkeiten im Kühlschrank zum Empfang.Aussen eine große Terrasse zum Essen und Relaxen mit toller Aussicht. Der Empfang durch Lucia und Ihre Eltern sind sehr herzlich. Ideal gelegen für Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung nach Pienza Montalcino Bagno Vignoni Montepulciano mit vielen tollen Fotomotiven sowie für kurze Wanderungen in näherer Umgebung. Ein wunderbares Fleckchen für Naturliebhaber und Landschaftsfotografen.Man muss aber wissen dass man über die Staubpiste 10 Minuten zum Supermarkt und nach San Quirico braucht.

Comfortable stay in a picturesque location

Our stay in Ripa d'Orcia was very comfortable and relaxing. On arrival, we were welcomed and shown around our property by Lucia, who made us feel very welcome. A number of local and home-grown produce items were left in the apartment for us to enjoy at our leisure. The apartment is well-appointed with a spacious combined kitchen, dining and living room. This is connected to a very comfortable double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The property is located in the stunning scenery of the Val d'Orcia and enjoys splendid panoramic views across the valley and the hilltop towns of Rocca d'Orcia and Castiglione d'Orcia. The communal terrace offers several tables both in the open and under a sun canopy, so you can partake of this vista. The property is about 5 minutes drive along a typical Tuscan white road from the town of San Quirico d'Orcia, with a range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Overall, we would highly recommend this tranquil location.

Zimmer mit Ausblick ins Val d’orcia

Auf einer Schotterstraße, am Anfang etwas abenteuerlich zu erreichen. Begrüßt einen die Familie von Lucia, in ihrem bezaubernd Bauernhaus und dem wunderschönen Blick auf das Val d’orcia. Ein Traum jeden Morgen aufzuwachen und auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken. Die Wohnung war mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet und alles tip top sauber! Internet funktioniert super und Lucia und ihre Familie waren sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der leckere Wein (Bioqualität) und Olivenöl aus eignen Anbau sind köstlich und tolle Mitbringsel. Der nächste Ort (San Querico) liegt ca. 5km entfernt, von dort aus kann man all die schönen Orte (Montalcino, Pienza, Siena und Montepulciano) der Toskana besuchen. Wir sind verzaubert von diesem schönen Ort und kommen wieder.

Fabulous Farm Stay in Tuscany

We absolutely loved our time in Tuscany at Lucia's Farm Stay. The space was super clean, cosy warm and with stunning views of the Tuscan hills. We would highly recommend this accommodation spot to others. Lucia was a wonderful host who provided very clear instructions on how to arrive and she gave us some great tips of places to explore.

Eine wundervolle Zeit

Lucia und ihre Familie sind wundervolle, liebenswerte Gastgeber. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und wurden während des ganzen Aufenthalts herzlich betreut. Das Apartment ist wohnlich eingerichtet und auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt bestens geeignet (komplette Küchenausstattung, genug Schränke, technisch alles einwandfrei). Wir konnten auf der großzügigen Terrasse entspannen, den großen Grill nutzen, Spaziergänge und Wanderungen direkt von der Haustüre aus starten. Die Lage ist herrlich ruhig, in einer interessanten Gegend mit vielen sehenswerten Orten. Grazie mille, Grazie per tutti. Sylvia & Stephan

Schöne Wohnung an herrlicher Lage mit sehr netten Gastgebern

Wir waren eine ganze Woche dort und haben es sehr genossen. Wir kämpften mit einer Hitzewelle, aber oben auf dem Hügel, wo das Haus liegt, gab es immer etwas Wind – die gedeckte Terrasse (mit Aussendusche!) und herrlichem Blick war unser Refugium. Wenn es nicht ganz so heiss ist, kann man auch schöne Spaziergänge in dieser wunderbaren Umgebung machen. Die Wohnung ist bestens ausgerüstet und die Küche so eingerichtet, dass man sogar richtig kochen kann und nichts fehlt. Gastgeberin Lucia und ihre Eltern sind sehr herzliche Menschen, die es einem an nichts fehlen lassen – man findet einen halbvollen Kühlschrank für die ersten Grundbedürfnisse vor und bekommt wenn man will Frühstückseier direkt ab Hof.

Pour se rendre chez Lucia,nous avons suivi un chemin de terre. A notre arrivée, devant la jolie maison de pierres, nous avons découvert un somptueux panorama 180° : Des collines couvertes de vignes et d'oliviers dominées par le château de Rocca d'Orcia. La maison est agréable et propre. Lucia nous y a accueilli avec attention et quelques produits " maison." Au réveil, nous avons eu le plaisir d'observé un chevreuil devant la maison... Beautiful Location, lacking in communication

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is more rustic than it lets on in the pictures, and down a long gravel road, but the view and hospitality more than make up for it. We never met Lucia, and both her parents spoke no English, so the check in process was a bit confusing. Lucia also wanted us to send a picture of our passports to her over another app, but I think the HomeAway app's poor messaging system is to blame for that. I would recommend staying here, just be sure you know what your getting into. It is a working farm, and some of the emenities are sparce (no microwave, only a small toaster oven, no modern coffee maker), but it also has a real coziness about it. The view over the valley is spectacular, and the quietness and peace is contagious. It's not a hotel, and it doesn't pretend to be one. But I feel it is a great value for your money in Val d'Orcia.

Fijne omgeving, vriendelijke eigenaren, we wilden de zat. langer blijven omdat het vliegtuig pas in de avond ging en we konden tot drie uur in het app. zonder bijbetalen. Ik kan het iedereen van harte aanbevelen.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit wunderbarer Landschaft

Diese Ferienwohnung ist schön und sauber. Sie hat eine tolle Lage. Auf der Terrasse genießt man die herrliche Landschaft. Die Besitzerin Lucia ist sehr hilfsbereit und liebevoll. Auch ihre Mutter ist sehr freundlich und grozügig. Bei Ihnen kann man sehr gute selbstgemachten Olivenöl und Wein kaufen. Wir haben auch echte Bioeieier und -tomaten für günstigen Preis bekommen. Die Gastgeberin hat uns frische Feige geschenkt. Zum ersten Mal haben wir so gute Feige dierekt vom Baum gegessen. Nur die ca. 5 Kilometer lange Straße von der nähsten Stadt dorthin ist steinig und etwas schwer zu fahren. Vielleicht ist es gerade deswegen dort ruhig und kaum Tourist zu sehen. Die Luft ist sehr frisch. Am Morgen und Abend sieht man ab und zu Reh u d Wildschwein. Sonst ist der energievolle schwarze Kater ein treuer Begleiter da. Wir haben einen unvergesslichen Urlaub gemacht. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Is this heaven? No, it’s Poderuccio.

The photos don’t do it justice. This is a breathtaking setting, with abandoned castles on nearby peaks and verdant, rural scenery in all directions. Our two-room “farmhouse” was spotless, completely up to date, fully equipped for cooking, and perfectly decorated as a Tuscan residence. Some staff speak little English, but we were able to make ourselves understood without much difficulty. We took advantage of the area’s many hiking trails; part of the famous “Via Francigena”, an ancient pilgrimage route now popularized for long-distance treks, lies between the property and the nearby town of San Quirico d’Orcia. (The town, by the way, has a quaint old section behind fortress walls that’s worth checking out during your meanderings.) As you’ll see in other reviews, it’s a few kilometers down a rural dirt road from downtown (and past some other agriturismos; keep bearing left until you start to descend the hill). The full-size apartment refrigerator includes a few “minibar” beverages for sale, but the Co-op supermarket in town is handily located for all your shopping needs. (We brought instant coffee, and used the supplied hot water kettle, to supplement the several kinds of tea provided on site.) Lucia has posted several recommendations for restaurants, and local places to explore, inside each apartment. Day trips to the many hill towns and other sights in the region are easily accomplished. But take some time to enjoy the vistas, absorb the Tuscan sunlight, and relax on the spacious patio. Our five nights here were easily the highlight of our trip to Italy. Enjoy!

A hidden gem in Tuscany!

The farmhouse is like something out of a storybook. The beauty of the Tuscan hills when you step through the doorway in the morning is breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this property to everyone. Lucia, the property owner, and Fabiana, the landlady who lives on property, are both so kind and were helpful throughout our stay. Items to note: -Lucia is very responsive with inquiries and questions. -We arrived after 8pm and Fabiana welcomed us with a smile and hugs! -The farmhouse was well equipped with cookware, dishes, and all the spices you’d need for a lovely meal in. -Lucia’s family makes their own olive oil and wine and they’re kind enough to leave a small batch for you to try. Absolutely delicious! And we even got fresh eggs too! -The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. Lucia even made sure we had fresh towels halfway through our stay. -Bathroom was well stocked with toilet paper, soap, hairdryer, and the shower offered plenty of hot water for back to back showers. Overall, this property is everything you could want and more for a stay in Tuscany. I cannot wait to return and experience it all again!

Beautiful views, very rural

Quiet and peaceful and 5 km down an easy gravel road out of town. Apt. was spacious and comfortable and language was no issue: we are proficient in sign language! We were there early Sept. It could be very hot during the summer.

What a treasure at the end of the white road and what a view. We were greeted with amazing cake and iced tea. That was just the beginning, Lucia brought us fresh eggs and zucchini from her garden. It almost felt like we were part of the family. The apartment decor was lovely and fitting for the setting. The views here are awesome, overlooking the valley and as you will have a car if staying here, it's a short drive to the wine towns of Montalcino and Montepulciano; and, you can find several local spas, visit, if u wish to drive a bit to Civita di Bagneregio. We would love to visit IL Podderuccio again

Die holprig staubige Zufahrt wird mit einem kleinen Paradies belohnt👍

Sehr abgelegene, romantische Wohnung mit Kontaktmöglichkeiten zu dem Bauernehepaar, das auf ganz liebevolle Art die Umgebung mit verschiedensten Pflanzen gestaltet hat. Natur vom Feinsten: wir sahen Eichelhäher, Wiedehopfe, Kuckuck, Hasen, Fasanen und Rehwild. Die Pflanzenwelt lässt sich sehen: Schwertlilien, Waldvögelchen, 50 cm hohe Orchideen und vieles Anderes mehr. Idealer Ausgangsort für die Regio val d'Orcia, die Bagni, die alten Städte und die klassische Landschaft der südlichen Toscana. Wanderungen sind vom Haus aus möglich und vielfältig. Dennoch Auto empfehlenswert, wenn auch die 5 km "staubige Holperpiste" alle strapazierte. Einziger Negativpunkt: Bett und Madratze zu hart. Insgesamt für Indivualisten und Naturliebhaber sehr empfehlenswert! Bester Monat: Mai

A delightful place to enjoy the beautiful Val d'Orcia

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at this property. Lucia and her family were warm and generous and very helpful. The location is lovely, with enchanting views, and is close to many wonderful small towns and cities that we enjoyed exploring. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped; guests have total control over the heating, which is not always true in Italian rentals, and may be a big help if you are there in the cooler seasons. Guests can do laundry conveniently in the building next to the apartment. The supermarket in nearby San Quirico d'Orcia is very well-supplied, even for people with special diets - it should have everything you need. Potential guests should know that reaching the property does require a few kilometers' drive on a gravel road, as it is a rural location. Also, it would be helpful if someone in your party speaks at least a little Italian, but I am sure that Lucia would be happy to work with a translation app, or enlist the help of the very kind upstairs neighbor who speaks English, if necessary. We recommend this apartment, and we would be happy to stay here again someday. After many trips when we stayed in Italian cities, this was our first rural experience and our first time with a rental car, and Lucia made it a success for us.

Fantastic

Fantástica experiencia !! Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos de cuatro maravillosos días en esta casa celebrando nuestro aniversario de boda. La casa está reformada hace poco y es estupenda. El lugar donde está situada es el alto de una pequeña colina con unas vistas de ensueño. Campos, viñedos y pequeñas antiguas fortalezas. Pura Toscana rural. Lucia, su propietaria, es comprensiva, atenta y siempre dispuesta a atender a sus huéspedes. Allí conocimos a Fabiana… guau !! que amable y simpática. Nos dio muchas sugerencias para visitar la zona, nos contó curiosidades, nos recomendó manjares de Italia y concretamente donde comer buena carne en San Quirico… no hay palabras para expresar lo bien que estuvimos. Recomendamos este lugar al 110 % —— Fantastic experience !! My wife and I enjoyed four wonderful days in this house celebrating our wedding anniversary. The house is renovated recently and is great. The place where it is located is the top of a small hill with breathtaking views. Fields, vineyards and small ancient fortresses. Pure rural Tuscany. Lucia, the owner, is sympathetic, attentive and always ready to serve their guests. There we met Fabiana ... wow !! that kind and friendly.
