Right in the heart of Gibraltar's charming marina, Tradewinds was built in 2007 to a high standard by Taylor Woodrow. Our apartment has a pleasing view over the communal swimming pool and Sunborn hotel and Casino, with the Marina and Spain behind. Almost all the furniture and furnishings are new, and the apartment was completely redecorated recently. Solid wood floors, Samsung curved Smart TV, fIbre optic internet with over 200 channels are just some of the modern features of the apartment.

A Fantastic weekend

We had a great couple of nights in Gibraltar. The apartment was excellent and had everything you would need. The location was very good close to all the restaurants and bars and a 5 min walk to the old town square and shops. Would definitely book again if we return to Gibraltar

Perfect apartment in a perfect location

This was our third visit to this apartment and it never disappoints. It’s a great location in Gibraltar and the apartment has everything you need to make this a great place to stay. We will definitely be back 😃

Lovely spot

Location close to family. Great views, great bed. Better checks should have been with pots and pans as well as plates as some were a bit grimy where previous guests would have put away after usage. Not a criticism of the host just feed back to check going forward as the amenities were great. Would happily stay again.

All one needs

This apartment made my stay so enjoyable. It is generously furnished and equipped giving it a real feel if a home from home. It is ideally located and communications with the management was excellent. I would highly recommend this apartment On every level. Thank you for taking care of me. .

Great Apartment.

A very well equipped apartment within Ocean Village. 15 minutes walk from the airport and 5 minutes to Casemates. Nadia was most accommodating in allowing us to enter the apartment earlier than the official check in time due to our early flight arrival. I cannot recommend this apartment strongly enough and look forward to booking another stay.

Excellent location & fabulous apartment

Fabulous apartment next to Ocean Village, close to numerous bars & restaurants. The apartment itself was spacious and very clean. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The pool area was lovely and not that busy, which was perfect. Nadia the owner had a few issues with the air con, (which we were advised of in advance) but provided 2 air con units, one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom, which did their job. I would definitely use this apartment again should I return to Gibraltar.

Perfect for short break

The apartment is a short walk (10-15 min, across the runway, from the airport. Overall comms from Nadia was good albeit with some slight delays. She arranged for us to have an early check in which was greatly appreciated. Apartment was clean and a useful welcome pack was provided. Unfortunately there was an issue with the heating / aircon and Nadia was willing to arrange an additional heater but happily the temperature didn't fall as much as expected and we didn't need it. There are many cafes, restaurant and bars nearby. This did generate some noise late in the evening but did quieten after 11 / 11:30 ...this was at a weekend, so not unsurprising or too much. A little bit of maintenance is required in the flat with a couple of light bulbs missing and the dimmer in the bedroom not working fully. The multi plug for phones, tablets etc was a useful addition. Having stayed in many short term rentals the one element missing was a short "guide book" of things to see, places to eat etc. It also took a while to work out the TV , though voice control was useful! Overall a great apartment for a short stay in Gibraltar. Recommend the dolphin trip (yellow boat), Gauchos (only a few mins walk) and a day wandering all the paces on the Rock

Great apartment

The apartment was an easy 15min walk from the airport. Great location with lots of places to eat and Food Co supermarket just round the corner if you want some British favourites. Plane was diverted to Malaga on arrival but I just kept Zuzanna updated and even though I was hours late she was there to greet me. Thoroughly recommend.

Good central location , with all the restaurants near by. The windows give a good level of sound proofing, and the property is tastefully decorated. We walked to the property from the airport as it’s very close. The owner was pleasant to deal with and we would stay again. Nick and Wendy

Great Apartment

Stayed here in May 22. The apartment is in the best location, right in Ocean Village and is exactly as described. It is very big for a 1 bed apartment and has a view of the sea and even a bit of runway so you can see planes take off (it is very quiet though so no worries there) The bed is super comfy and large and both the main living area and the bedroom have air conditioning. There is a massive TV that you can sign into your own Netflix or Amazon prime and a really comfy couch. If felt like a home away from home. If we go back to Gibraltar I would definitely rent it again.

Could have been better

Perfect location, walking distance to airport and next to plenty bars and restaurants and a supermarket. However, we had a few issues. Firstly, the pool was not in operation. I communicated this to the owner when we were there and was told it was to do with the dust/rain, however it would have been nice to have been told this prior to our arrival. Secondly, there was terrible noise from the apartment next door - clearly having some work done on the balcony. The noise and the dust made sitting out quite unbearable. A few areas could have been improved on, for example - the sink in the toilet did not drain properly and the towels were terrible, they were very hard and rough and not pleasant at all. Going by previous 5 star reviews, I expected something out of this world with this apartment - but it fell considerably short of 5 stars in my book.

Dear Catherine, Thank you for your review, as you and many people will understand that having neighbours doing works in their apartment is something that I can't anticipate and I can't tell them not to do noise, also it is a communal pool like it is advertise in the ads so if they have it closed and they do not tell me, something that is very normal and common in Gibraltar is also out of my hands. The towels are Egyptian cotton, I choose the best conditioning to wash them, I really do not understand how they were very hard and rough, I checked the apartment myself before your arrival, I would have noticed if they were not nice. All my reviews are 5 stars when someone gives 3 it is a bit awkward, or all the other guests weren't right? Wish you all the best and hopefully you find a very nice and pleasant apartment next time you are in Gibraltar. Nadia

Wonderful!

Another very enjoyable stay at this wonderful apartment. The location is ideal, just a 15 min walk from the airport (no need for a taxi) in the heart of Ocean Village with its bars and restaurants. The apartment is very comfortably furnished making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break. Highly recommended!
