Station One - 6J Beach Haven- Oceanfront condo with pool, tennis, beach

Beach Haven is a gorgeous 6th floor condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Station One is located in the heart of vibrant downtown Wrightsville Beach, and is ocean front with a pool and tennis courts.

Within the unit you have everything you and your group could desire for a great beach vacation. The unit has been completely remodeled; updated bathrooms, tile floors, granite counter tops, and new furnishings. The living room has plenty of seating for movie night, a large flat screen TV, and access to the ocean front balcony. The open living room also consists of the dining area with a great table for seating 6. The open kitchen has granite counter tops and is fully stocked to cook a meal in together.

There is a queen bed in the master bedroom with a flat screen TV, as well as access to the ocean front balcony. The master bedroom also has a full private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is a guest bedroom with two twin beds, and there is a full bathroom in the hall with a walk in shower. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room for all your additional family members!

Parking for 2 cars only. No Trailers of any kind.

Wonderful week!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only negative comment concerns the air conditioning or lack thereof in the master bedroom area. It seems to be related to the construction of the building and probably not much to be done about it. Otherwise, a beautiful unit and a beautiful view. Have already planned our week for summer 2014.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was nice. The couch is uncomfortable and should be replaced. The furniture on the deck ruined 2 of our beach towels, 2 shirts and a pair of pajamas. The furniture is iron which is inherently going to rust in an outdoor saltwater environment. The rust is very hard to see until you see the imprint of the chair design stained on your clothes. The rest of the condo was great. Access to the condo itself was fine but we couldn't access the gate from beach or any exterior building for nearly 3 days. Nobody provided us with separate keys for that and apparently the owners of our condo changed the locks and the bldg management didn't know.

Great location and amenities

We stayed in Station 1 condo 6-J. The view was great and the accommodations were perfect for us. The teens had fun at the beach and pool. Nice coffee and ice cream shops across the street.

Views of the ocean were fantastic and we could walk everywhere we needed to go. I would update the key entry system to a fob style or card system, just as a recommendation. From a cost/benefits point of view, the price was right for our budget/to what we got for our money!

Our family has expanded and our two girls no longer fit w/ their husbands and children. 6j was a lifesaver for us. It is quiet and wonderfully equipped for the grandparents. Thank you for the new chest in the living room and lighter chair covers.

daughter's rental

We have been renting 6k for over 15 years and our family expanded to need a second rental for our daughter's growing family. This summer we rented 6j next door as well as 6k. We were disappointed to find plumbing issues in the master bath at 6j. The toilet did not flush, sink did not drain as well as the plumbing in the kitchen. Our daughter's family of 5 used the 2nd bathroom and our sink in 6k. It worked out, but there was no office manager to inform on Sat., at 9 when we left. I'm sure it was a problem for the next renter. We found the sofa "tired", just useable. Most of our vacation was spent in 6k. We have booked 6j and 6k for next year just because of the location and I hope the plumbing will work next year. Thank you for the opportunity to put down some of our thoughts. Disappointed This Year

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 3rd year we have stayed at station one. I understand each owner equips their unit as they see fit, but the room was a disappointment. First the room was not that clean. There was sand on the floors and coffee table. There was a coffee maker but no coffee pot, a blender but no base to blend anything on. Garbage disposal did not work. The master room bed was horrible & to even turn over made the bed frame squeak. White bedspread & shower curtain had stained pink all over. Condo in general looks like something the owner rents out but would not stay in themselves. If they do I would be surprised. I am not sure if some of this is not intercoastal realties issue.

Won't return until railings meet code

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Station One. We visited years ago, before, children, and knew we would be happy with the location. The unit itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. However, there was one glaring issue with the building itself that was obvious to us within minutes of arriving. The railing spindles are so far apart that my 2 year old could fit his head through the slats. If his head can fit through, so can his body. We were on our first trip up to the condo from our car as we unpacked and my son was excited to be up on the 6th floor, so he peeked through the slats in the hallway to get a view. To our horror, his head went all the way through. The railings are the same in all the condos as they are in the hallway. Needless to say, it was difficult to keep a curious 2 year old away from all the railings for 7 days. My husband asked one of the workers about it and it was told to us that the building was grandfathered in, so they are not up to 2016 building codes. We loved our stay at the property and love Wrightsville beach, but we will NOT return to the property (and couldn't possibly recommend it to friends with young children) until the building manager fixes this glaring safety hazard.

Intracoastal and Station1 staff were fantastic, especially Samantha and Lisa S as well as Kevin the maintenance guy and the security office guys. Very nice people - they helped make this vacation a pleasure. The only issues I could mention are (1) one of the balcony chairs was ripped and not useable, (2) the TV in the smaller bedroom didn't get any channels, (3) the pool maintenance guy was running a leafblower right under our bedroom window at around 8am almost every morning. None of these is a huge problem, more of a minor annoyance.
