Home of the 5 Step Rule! Step off the deck and click into your skis!! This beautifully furnished townhome has direct ski-in-ski-out access to a private trail that takes you to the high-speed Jordanelle Gondola. The 5 bedroom, 5 bath home sleeps up to 14, has a private hot tub, magnificent gourmet kitchen, and is Home of the 5 step rule: step off the deck, and click into your skis!

The home is Mountain Modern, completely furnished, fully equipped, ski in and ski out, 5 bedrooms, 5 baths and is situated in the Deer Crest subdivision of Deer Valley. Duel master bedrooms with multiple balconies. Dramatic great room with massive floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace vaulted ceilings and lots of windows. Solid wood doors and hand-peeled log accents. Gourmet kitchen with granite surround and countertops. Direct ski-in access from a private trail and ski-out to high-speed Jordanelle Gondola. Hot tub. Two car garage with plenty of storage space. Excellent east facing solar exposure. Spectacular views of lake and mountain. Three gas fireplaces. Private deck with BBQ off living area, second deck at the lower level with hot tub.

Both master suites have king size beds and fireplace. One master suite can be converted into twin beds if needed. The upper bedroom has bunk beds (top twin size and bottom full size bed). Great for kids! This level also has an extra bedroom with a Queen bed. One bathroom is shared for entire floor. The other 3 bedrooms provide en suite baths. Flat screen TVs are provided in all bedrooms and the great room. Additionally, the Deer Valley area offers a host of activities for everyone!

Deer Valley is a ski only resort. Guests on alpine, telemark or mono ski equipment with feet placed side by side and facing forward are allowed. Snowboards and carving boards are restricted from use. Reasonable accommodations for adaptive ski devices will be made; however, the equipment must be in accordance with the resort's ski only policy.

4-wheel drive vehicles required in winter because of snow conditions.

Mountain weather is variable and unpredictable. Resort conditions and ski access may be weather and snow dependent.

The place was fantastic! It had pretty much everything, great views and great amenities! The beds were very comfortable, the showers were great, and the hot tub was terrific! Due to the lack of snow you could not ski “in” because neither the lifts nor trails leading back to the unit were open…The fireplace in the living room wasn't working as it was going to be replaced, but it wasn’t a huge deal, just a “nice to have”…

Ski vacation with family

Condo met all of our needs. Family of 7. Enjoyed to location and the ski on ski off onto a private trail.Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. All rooms comfortable. Would stay again

Great location and easy ski in/ski out. Kitchen equipment needed replenishment/updating; many light bulbs out; hot tub needed servicing; living room furnishing could use some updating. Overall, the house was comfortable.

Great property

Clean and easy to access space. A little off the beaten path and a lot stairs but an overall great stay. Had everything you need and certainly won’t disappoint. Good ski access but limited in the warmer ends of the season as it is at a low elevation relative to the rest of deer valley and park city so there is less snow.

Ski week with Family

The property was a perfect fit for our 3 generations of Family. With our schedules all being different the Ski in Ski out was a real savior for flexibility. The house was well equipped and everything was operational. We had a great time and also had a week of snow about 3 feet total.

perfect house for annual reunion

our two families have traveled together annually for years. Its been hard to find a home large enough for us to have our own space yet cozy enough for games nights and dinner together. This home is nicely decorated, comfortable, well stocked and in a great location. The managrment team was organized and easy to work with. We highly recommend.

Great condo Great location

We enjoyed this condo and its ease of access to the gondola in the morning. The sunrise is beautiful! It is spacious, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, roomy, comfortable living area, great hot tub. The property manager was easy to contact and promptly replied and took care of a minor issue for us. We would definitely stay there again. The amount of snowfall made the ski home run a little difficult but doable.

A lovely home with the property being properly described. The property management company was easy to work with and the ski-in ski-out was great. We had some beginner skiers that were not able to do the ski-in but could easily do the ski-out in the mornings. We all had a wonderful time and loved the property. We would definitely stay again.

Better than expected

I have stayed at several ski ins- this by far was the best. From the time you click on your skis to the time you are getting on the gondola is about 1 minute. It's a true ski in meaning you can literally ski in and out of the backdoor. House was perfect for our party of 10. We never felt cramped or cluttered. If ever visiting Deer Valley in the future we would pick this same house.

xmas skiing 2023

the property was great except for the ski in ski out location. due to the lack of snow it was difficult to ski in and out from the house. and definitely not a beginner trail even if there was more snow. ended up driving to the snow park lodge or gondola. the slopes were very crowded due to only 60% of the mountain being open but can’t control the weather. overall a great rental.

Convenience in every sense

The house is very nice, just as advertised, location is perfect allowing all skiers to get home at different times not needing to use the car. Communication with Jami was great (we had only one misunderstanding because we were supposed to find the remote control for the garage door and we didn’t), she was always available and even going above what we expected. I would recommend this house to my closest family and friends, and would love to come back.

Great vacation in Deer Valley

The property was perfect for the 12 adults/teens for spring break skiing. There was a few issues that were resolved when we arrived- DirectTV was not functioning (in the middle of March Madness football!) and there was no toilet paper refills. Both issues were resolved in the first 24 hours. Otherwise, the place was great. The ski out was easy for all the guests but the ski in was a little more challenging for the beginner/intermediate crowd. Overall, a great place to stay!

Perfect Ski Vacation Home

This house had every single thing a person would want and need in a vacation! The house was very spacious (even more so than the pictures show) and cozy! The views are amazing from every window in the house. The kitchen has every single thing you would need to prepare great meals. The den is set up so many people can relax by the fire and a large collection of movies is available to watch. The Apple TV option is in every room also! I couldn't ask for a better set up. Those who wanted to ski could ski right out of the bottom floor of the home and come back to a nice relaxing hot tub. I would recommend this vacation home for anyone looking!

Family ski trip

The property was very comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed for our group of 9 (ages 7-75 with skier ability from advanced beginner to expert). The ski-on ski-off was wonderful and made it easy for everyone to get out and then return at their own pace with the larger group. (We did have a little trouble finding our way back the first day - the map and directions provided are accurate, but we didn’t realize their is a second, more subtle entry way into the private residences from the top of the gondola.). Internet was not working upon arrival and we were unable to reach hosts initially, but it turned out a simple unplug of the router (in a bedroom) fixed that right up. We cooked many meals at home and ate out some nights - great dining options a short drive away in Park City, but kitchen had everything we needed to cook some fairly elaborate dinners the nights we stayed in. We only came back midday for lunch one day. The mountain is widely spread out with the condo on one end. So it was a bit of a disruptive, time consuming trip back midday (particularly with some slower skiers in our group) if we were out skiing on the other side. Hot tub was a real apres ski treat - clean, well-maintained, and with great views.We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again!

Incredible home!

We had an incredible trip and stay. The house and amenities were amazing. Everyone was very happy and loved the hot tub. Beautiful views, sunrise/sunset from the hot tub and balcony. We had lots of room, all the cooking utensils we needed, very appreciative of the minor items (dishwasher pods, detergent, shampoo/conditioner, lots of towels etc). We liked the location and once we understood the gate access system it was easy and a quick drive to deer valley (you go through 3 total gates). Make sure you discuss the gate cards beforehand - we got a little lost on day one. The gate attendant told us we were at the wrong gate and had us turn around but turns out it was the correct one. House manager was on call 24/7 and super helpful - even stayed on the phone with us until we arrived at the house. With little snow, we could not ski directly down the path but rather had to walk down a short hill before heading to the gondola (not a huge deal - took about 3 min). The instructions on how to ski back into the house via the private deer crest trails is located in the welcome book in the house - make sure you review/take a picture on day 1 of skiing :) Also some of the trails are a bit narrow and more difficult (blues) with icy patches in December so just a little warning if everyone isn’t an advanced skier. We would definitely book this house again and will highly recommend it to our family and friends!

Great Place with Great Service - A few tips for the next guests

It was a wonderful house and everything was great. I would certainly recommend it. And the price fit the location. So these tips are to fill in the blanks for the next traveler. LOCATION & ACCESS * great ski in/out access, but far enough removed that you will spend considerable time if you plan to "stop in" to warm up or have lunch. Best to eat/warm up in a lodge. * ski out is only served by the gondola, which is awesome, but also the first lift to close when the wind blows. We were lucky to have suburbans to shuttle our group to snowpark base lodge, but would have otherwise been stuck figuring out what to do. No resort shuttle from gondola to other lodge. Evidently, Deer Crest (the community) has a shuttle available? Not sure how convenient or quick or if its is real? Just be prepared. * deer crest trail map (to house) needs an update. We took an extra right turn near the end, not on map, which caused us to remove skis and cross a street. Our neighbors did that too. Not a big deal though. * Finally, and the biggest last minute scare for us, was the availability of the deer crest ski trail system. There is no place to learn if the trails are open. We noticed on the rental photos/video that there appears to be snowmaking on the trail system which led us to assume that they would be open. (particularly by late January). We inquired 3 days before departing and were informed they were not open yet. Wow. That sucked. Luckily, they got 15" the day before we arrived. Everything was open. And the ski patrol told us that they had been open "for weeks". Who was right? Dont know. But very concerning when the entire point of staying here was for the ski-in ski-out. Be very aware. * our beginners (kids) were able to ski all the way, with only a couple of scary spots. HOUSE Great House, as advertised, but the photos and descriptions weren't clear on the following things: *the table seats 10, photo shows 6. Its tight, but accommodates. Plus 4 seats at kitchen bar top. * the one bedroom downstairs has a detached bathroom that enters through the ski hallway. Inconvenient, but functional. * the twins into king was very comfortable. In fact all bedding is real comfortable. * photos show haphazard TV wiring through, so it came as no surprise that some of the electronics didn't work. We weren't there to watch TV, and had our own apple TV for the kids. * WIFI: its there, but painfully slow. We tried a reboot to no avail, so used our own hotspots.
