A unique cabin in a beautiful setting. Far enough away from everything to "be" in nature but close enough to town to run to the store or grab a coffee. Thanks for help with the wood stove, Jeff!

A beautiful setting. This is definitely camping with electricity! The property was not well maintained, but we enjoyed the rustic feel of the experience. Lots of little notes on how to do things. Could have been condensed into one reference binder. Had a nice time. The wood stove was our favorite part. Thanks, Jeff!

Beautiful spot, idyllic getaway, close to several points of interest such as Mt. Princeton Hit springs, St. Elmo’s and Buena Vista proper. Definitely recommend going in and doing a deep clean with sanitizing wipes etc especially in the kitchen area, before unpacking or unloading. Those little mice will have left presents no matter how recent the last guest. Same with washing your dishes before bed! Overall the cabin and bath house were exactly as described and what we were looking for. Will definitely be back.

We loved it so much we stayed 4 nights instead of the two we originally planned. Perfect for day trips to some of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. We will definitely try and come back again!

Great rustic, cozy cabin in the mountains

Great rustic, cozy cabin in the mountains, it provided great access to a lot of adventures we wanted to have in that area. We drove to St. Elmo, fished at nearby lakes, Mt. Princeton was seconds away. We had a fabulous time.

My pups and I had fantastic time. If you desire re-connection with Nature and to re-discover your true Nature, Bunny Ranch is excellent place. Hidden away serene place of peace and simplicity.

This was my third visit to Bunny Lane. It was as wonderful and peaceful as the first. It reminds me of life back in the pioneer days with modern conveniences. I saw a large herd of elk; multiple deer in the yard daily; a golden eagle eating something delicious; antelope; a mama moose with 2 young; a wild turkey crossing the road. Why? IDK; 2 goats; and a flying dog desiring kisses. Fishing just a minute walk. Glorious. Hope to return soon!

Mountain escape

Great little cabin in the woods. Clean, comfortable, surprisingly well equipped with kitchen necessities. Really enjoyed the lack od technology and the the provided gamea and puzzles. Bathroom, while not attached and shared with other cabins, was clean and really did t have any issuea with other guests. Scenery was beautiful. It was the escape we needed.

Cabin camping

Maybe nice for a family reunion get-together and go hiking or have som’mores. Pull out couches are probably only comfortable for one person to sleep on. Lighting good at dark to go to find your way to the bath house at night for using the restroom. People are friendly and helpful in the area. We stayed in the rabbit den cabin. There is no cell service but wiifii is available.

I can’t believe VRBO lists this property!!! YUCK!!!

I booked this property last minute and didn't really look at the details. We had always had great experiences with VRBO's. We arrived in the dark after hours in the car, imagine our dismay when we walked into the cabin and realized there was no bedroom or inside bathroom. Our noses told us that the whole place was grungy and unsanitary. I've stayed in many rustic cabins, but none as dirty and awful as this one. We didn't know what else to do but spend the night and luckily I had brought sheets and pillows from home. We made the trip to the foul-smelling outhouse. Needless to say, we didn't stay for the entirety of our reservation... YUCK!!!So much for the "paying it forward - cleaning idea"

WOW

I fell in love as soon as i saw. Please understand i grew up in a home so much like this one so it was very (crazy yes) comforting ❤️...I never felt micro managed. The notes through out the place told me how it worked and was plenty. Place was clean when i arrived took pictures as well as after i left. If you want 5 stars hotel experience not this place it is hands down rural living but the location was amazing i could be lost for days enjoying the everything fron fishing, hiking, sight seeing. The freaking best EVER. I never met Jeff and so wish i had so i could tell him personally thanks and shake his hand. I would go back so relaxing.

A Real Cabin Experience

My friends and I all very much enjoyed our stay at Bunny Lanes. The area was absolutely gorgeous with many trails nearby. The cabin is definitely what you pay for. With the Pay It Forward system you really don’t know what you are going to get in terms of cleanliness. It seems the people before us may not have noticed or chose to neglect the rotting mouse under the sink. There were definitely traces of mice throughout the cabin but I would expect no less with an old cabin.

This place is a dump

I don’t recommend staying at this place the locking system for the back door is a chain and padlock. The place is covered in cobwebs and infested with mice and mice feces throughout the cabin They have two couches with pull out beds both of them are so uncomfortable making it hard to get any rest or relax for that matter The barstools around the kitchen/bar are unsafe. I get it it’s an old cabin but I would not waste my money stay in here not only is this place a dump it is unhealthy due to the mice infestation . I just want to warn people that are looking to rent out this cabin don’t do it !

Lovely cabin for camping enthusiasts

Really cold at the start, but using the stove with fire to heat up the whole cabin made it great! The property has unbeatable views with multiple natural wonders nearby. Loved the quirky decorations in the cabin and the many many many notes on how to respectfully stay in the cabin:) if you come when the water is off, our experience with the well water was very enjoyable! Would definitely recommend if looking to get away from technology and enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

Rusic Relaxation

We enjoyed this one room cabin (me and grandkids). Although one room, the kids enjoyed the ping pong table, playing cards, and hiking together. It was great with everyone in close proximity...a bonding time. Due to winter, the water was turned off which made it interesting and fun for kids and I to go back to old frontier days! The bathroom was separate but clean...and not a problem for us.

Rustic charm

This rustic cabin wss in the perfect location for our visit. A few things to know before you come...1) the sleeping situation is 2 sofa sleepers in a large common room. We planned ahead and brought our inflatable queen mattress which worked great for us. We did find that the breaker "tripped" during the day so we had to fix that and restart the mattress since it was a continuous self inflating type. 2) no privacy-back door has no curtain and window curtains are very thin. We untied the curtains and took the curtain divider from between the couches and placed it over back door. 3) no bathroom, there is an outhouse nearby and everything mentioned a bathhouse however we never found it or saw it, and it wasn't marked on any of the maps around the cabin. We are fortunate we had family not far that let us shower. The cabin itself is charming, easy to find, and in a beautiful setting. I like the thought of paying it forward and left stuff for others. The quirkiness of this cabin was fun and charming. No problems with booking or during our stay.

Great spot! Very simple, very rustic, but quaint. The bathhouse isn't far from any of the cabins.

There is a little confusion as far as the directions if you're not familiar with the area, but the owner and managers are very responsive. We got a bit lost, but called and found our way in a few minutes. Super simple, great place to bring your family or friends and really unwind.

Great location. Place needs attention

The location is great. Here's the review from a Colorado native who has grown up in these hills. #1. Have a comfortable bed for people. You are in a prime location for hiking and activities. The 2 pull out couches are miserable and torture!! Thankfully we are athletic and snd have massagers. But seriously...be kind! Get rid of all the STALE and Creepy decorations and ping ping table. Get a comfortable bed in there!!! We are from the area, so we tried really hard to accept the quirkiness and be comfortable. We slept like crap, our backs all hurt, the creepy decorations are stale... This cabin could really be amazing with a liface lift!!
